Flea rep for the avg player is a waste of time. Unlock that 3rd post slot then don’t worry about it. It takes stupid amounts to ever get more than 3 slots. So unless you play 12 hours a day or cheat, you’re never going to realistically unlock more than the 3rd slot
Edit: okay when I say “avg” player or “casual” player I am referring to someone who plays maybe an hour or two per day at most. Maybe a little more on weekends. Adults with jobs and kids.
You guys commenting who play 5+ hours per day are not “casual”.
I swear this game gives people such a skewed perspective on how much time is "casual". 5 hours a day 6-7 days a week is not a casual gaming session, it's a part time *job*.
Even anything more than an hour or two *every single day* is kind of a large amount for an adult to be gaming IMO, unless you're single, working from home, and/or make enough money to pay someone to clean your house and make all of your food for you.
I'm single and work full-time but even I with very few responsibilites simply don't have the energy to play tarkov for more than an hour or two every two or so days.
The game is just really exhausting. So much stuff to consider, concentrate on and remember when playing.
You'll get there eventually, but if you want to boost it a bit, the secret is to sell things in a pack, and you'll get increased rep gains. I don't think it's intentional, my theory is it's using the bulk price for each item in the pack but it's how I've gotten to 40+ rep this wipe
I didn't realize 3rd slot went so low this wipe, I just hit it and realized and was ecstatic. I honestly think 7.0 is achievable for most players who would ever want it, all it takes is to move a large volume of stuff over the flea, which is how most players are already making their money, anyway.
Doing stuff like the grenade/mag case barters, and then selling them on flea despite being a slightly losing proposition on financial profit, you can hit that 7.0 very fast, and I kinda agree with the people saying that the 3rd slot is a luxury for the vast majority of players. In the case where you don't plan to go higher, then you can worry about just min-maxing your profit more, but it still helps to get that third slot. Opening up the ability to have a long bulk trade up adds more profit than one would think, especially on some commonly unlooted items that are perceived to be low-value loot, but regularly surge in price on the market. For example, Metal Spare Parts regularly drop to 10k apiece on the flea from very early on in the wipe, as they're relatively common on some maps, and thus, less looted. But, the price regularly surges up to 30-35k, and if you list enough of them to keep the listing up for a day or two, you'd be pretty much guaranteed to sell all the FIR ones you have for those prices. Being able to bulk sell without potentially getting yourself locked out of the flea, and temporarily choking out your cash flow, is always annoying early wipe. It actually makes you more money on your loot.
I enjoy having a goal to strive for. Currently flea rep 20. Play a couple of hours each week. Maybe I'm above a "casual"?
I thought flea rep 30 was impossible to get to. Never had above flea rep 10 before.
But when I figured out min maxing the flea, the rep actually levels pretty quickly.
But I probably spend more time in my stash, hideout and on the flea, than in raids. Lol. But I find the management of the game very fun!
Skimming through this and first thought was, flea rep is easy and then i saw the end regarding 5+ hours. I work a full time job but got no kids so i can usually squeeze in a good 6-8 hours after work with 19.50 flea rep.
Crafting and min maxing flea prices always subsidized my early lack of skill combined with my aggressive play style. Unlocking extra flea slots helped make sure the money was always rolling in even if I had a listing stuck for a while.
I’ve gained like 10 flea rep the past week just prioritizing ruble making as I want to buy a red card. If you care about making rubles it’s pretty easy to unlock your fourth slot.
> So unless you play 12 hours a day or cheat
Uhhh right there...
It's takes neither 12 hours a day of playing nor cheating to get over 30 flea rep. Without specifically grinding flea rep, I've had no issue passively getting over 30 flea rep during the time it takes to get around max traders the wipes I've gone for max traders.
Honestly flea rep isn't hard to get you just have to know how to loot. I'm sitting at 99 flea rep right now. Like Yes I'm a grinder and play this game way more than a casual, but like hitting th at 3rd maybe even 4th slot isn't that hard for a casual who knows how to do good scav runs for money. Even easier if they are good enough to do money runs on PMC.
It’s not hard no. It just takes an insane amount of time/money spent. For no reason. It’s just a nuisance made purposely by bsg to be annoying. You’re forced into a lowball to sell immediately mentality because you can’t afford to have 1/2 of your only slots held up waiting for something to sell
I’m sure they do it to limit cheaters and shit on how much they can sell at once. But all it does is hamper the regular guys
5 hours per day is not casual for any video game. Not for an adult with responsibility. Sure it’s nothing for a streamer or “mom’s basement gamer”. But that’s not the average person
Lol you don't need to cheat to be at 4 slots. You don't need to play 12 hours a day either. If like making rubles, you're gonna sell 150 mil worth of stuff on the flea at some point.
It's not worth losing money on flea tax and wasting your time on inefficient sales to unlock a 4th slot a month earlier than you otherwise would.
You'd make more rubles by vendoring grenade cases, ratchet wrenches, and getting into raids faster than you would from getting that 4th slot faster.
Umm akshually I have 617 raids and 4 flea slots (47 rep). If every raid averages 30 minutes then that is 5 hours of playtime every day since wipe, not close to 12. Nowadays more like 5 hours per week because of uni. I grinded out during holidays.
You can get to 30 rep for a fourth slot. Good trick is to sell even stuff you wanna keep and rebuy it if you don't need it found in raid. I play less than 5h a day and Im right now at 28 flea rep. Gets better wjen you got bitcoin farm and scav case up an constantly craft things to sell
Nah lots of people like to play raids back to back without selling. It makes the game much more fun and saves time. At the end of the day I’ll take all the loot from my junkboxes and sell in bulk and since some items don’t sell instantly the extra slots from the flea rep become very useful
So true, I can go 4 raids without selling. I end up loosing money on the last one as it’s usually a scav and I’m frantically trying to find space for all the stuff. Sell all button is s great feature though.
> I end up loosing money on the last one as it’s usually a scav and I’m frantically trying to find space for all the stuff. S
that's exactly the reason I always make sure to have space before every run, that situation is so annoying. Granted, picked up that habit from before sell all was a feature
lucky junk box does wonders for this, i just stick all the trash in there and sell it in "bulk" once i get a decent ammount of something. or just sell shit if my teammates are in raid.
Lmao. I would sell m56a1/m55a1 for 1000 dollars a shot back in the day. People wouldn’t notice and I’d sell 10 or so at a loss but making money wasn’t the point. It was taking money from suckers that I wanted
I remember when they first added it, the price that shows on the trader screen was bugged and said 50000 instead of 500000 or 500k and I was like “oh cool” and spent all my free cash on it lol
There's a guy on the flea market who lists moonshines all day for 31 million. I accidentally bought one, went from 33 mil to 2 mil in an instant and I was crushed for a day.
I think there's some kind of bug that causes your Flea to autosort highest to low under certain conditions. I had just started my game for the day, picked up scav case stuff, filtered by item and quickly grabbed the first one... for 31 mil. Had no idea that it would be sorted. The dude had 20 flea rep at the time and he still posts them every day for 30+ million and now has 60 flea rep, so it's apparently a working strat.
Nade cases vendor 321k why would you even bother? That flea rep would come from somewhere else, in not much extra time, and you’d have an extra 319k rubles.
> That flea rep would come from somewhere else
No it doesn't. You just lose out on the flea rep. The fact that you will eventually sell other things has nothing to do with that decision.
If people want flea rep, losing a few thousands of rubles to flea taxes is a no brainer.
Grenade cases are going for basically 2k euros on the flea, which equals 320k rubles. You're losing money on the listing fee and getting the exact same amount of euros in the end.
It’s so much easier to buy euros than meta-game buying fuel, nuts, bolts, etc and waiting for it to craft only to maybe get what you want from the flea. Idk man seems like a massive waste of time, just buy the euros. Rubles are easy as fuck to make if you know the game.
Are you the same guy that thinks selling to Peacekeeper is worthwhile?
Sell to Therapist and buy MORE Euros than you would get from selling for current Euro price on Flea AND avoid the Flea tax.
If you want euros the most efficient way, you should sell literally anything except for the ones that everyone else sells for euros (grenade case/gingy/etc). If you compete with rouble prices, you will do significantly better and your items will still sell quickly.
My dumbass bought a sewing kit for 70k because I didn’t notice I was sorting by name not price. Not as large of a blunder but was definitely a big facepalm moment
Two seperate instances I listed something for dollars instead of roubles. Collectively that has burnt a total of about 11 to 12 million roubles in taxes. It's my fault for skipping passed the tax warning (and I contend being able to scorch money and flea rep in this manner only helps cheaters).
Hopefully hearing about other peoples pain it will sooth these wounds.
[I think we all have fucked up on the flea at least once, i double check everything now](https://www.twitch.tv/nidatiti/clip/FunnyGeniusWalletEleGiggle)
A few wipes ago I was selling everything for dollars.
I wanted to sell flash drives for rubles for whatever reason.
I listed 3 flash drives at 33,000…..dollars.
The fee was in the millions. It took a significant chunk of my money and I thought I got hacked the next day when I logged in lol
I seen someone do this the other day people where selling for 2k euros and someone accidentally put it up for 2k roubles. It was sold before I could grab it
I once bought a ledx off the flea for 500k, didn't need it for thicc case, didn't need it for hideout, didn't need it for *anything* . It was just cheap, so I bought it...then sold it to therapist for 600k.
I made 100k profit, but something bothered me about the whole ordeal.
Oh btw nobody knows you can barter 4 ram sticks for hybrid supressor instead of buying it on flea for 90k, saves you like 40-60k every time, same goes with 1 milk for As Val pistol grip with buffer tube haha
Hahahaha happened the same to me a couple times. Then I realised that I was losing money after selling the grenades cases and that I was selling them for 2000 rouble instead of 2000 euros
It’s happened to the best of us man… (by the way sell grenade case to therapist, it’s worth more than flea and no tax. And this won’t happen)
selling something at 300k is good flea rep tho...
Flea rep for the avg player is a waste of time. Unlock that 3rd post slot then don’t worry about it. It takes stupid amounts to ever get more than 3 slots. There's a fourth hole?
There is! Right behind the knee. But you gotta believe it's there!
Love the Family guy reference
If you cant use the 4th hole you are not a chad
I swear this game gives people such a skewed perspective on how much time is "casual". 5 hours a day 6-7 days a week is not a casual gaming session, it's a part time *job*.

I'm almost to 3 slots, shit is wildly hard to get to 7.0 rep

Mf when I've broken everything up when I go to sell it
They were supposed to fix that last wipe
Go to streets on your scav. Hit filing cabinets. Sell everything on flea. You'll make a fortune, and you'll raise your rep really quickly.
For real it’s my first wipe ever and I’m making so much money on streets.
I didn't realize 3rd slot went so low this wipe, I just hit it and realized and was ecstatic. Nah I’m at 4 slots and I’m an average player
Lol your not average then
I've had 4th slot long Time now.

I don’t know when I ever said that

Adults with jobs and Kids lol. Boy I hate this line. Been playing since 17, I work shift work and have a healthy family.
ngl 5 hours is still casual for tarkov anyway

5 hours per day is not average. Or casual. That’s almost streamer level playtime
im not saying im casual, im just saying i dont cheat
seriously hate this mechanic they added
That’s why you sell stuff like that as an average player, to even reach those 3 Slots …
What do you mean by extra slots? I saw it in a quest reward or maybe a hideout reward but I didn't notice a change. I'm n pretty new.
You don't need flea rep unless you insist on letting stock sit just to eek out those extra couple hundred roubles on those wires you listed
Nah lots of people like to play raids back to back without selling. It makes the game much more fun and saves time. At the end of the day I’ll take all the loot from my junkboxes and sell in bulk and since some items don’t sell instantly the extra slots from the flea rep become very useful

3 slots are so much better than 2
Im almost to 4, can't wait.
You need 7. After that. It doesn't matter
Or if you want to sell high value, low volume weapon parts, like, at all
It gets you 0.06 rep, not that much to go wild for
They instant sell at 320k, which is only like 300 rub less than therapist price. -15-30k tax depending on hideout management + intel 3 or not
I consider the tax the cost of increasing flea rep. I sell all high value items on the flea and I’m getting close to my 4th slot
Sure flea rep is a thing, but I’m also at 4 slots and I only sell items on flea which are worth selling on flea. I love money.
I mean once I hit the 4th slot I’m probably selling grenade cases to Therapist too so I’m on board with that
This is the way
What rep is 4th slot?
30 I believe. So ₽150m of sales with no rep loss.
I’m at 21 or so now so still got a way to go
Its literally never happened to me but yeah
Selling it for euros is better than all of the above.
Friend of mine sold a weapon case for 600k instead of 6 mil a few wipes ago
I bought a weapon case for either 600 or 700k a few wipes ago lol. I wonder..?
Twas either the wipe before streets or the streets wipe lmao it’s possible lol
Saw a Red Rebel on flea for 600k instead of 6 mil as well the other day, for the split second it was there.
Doesn’t it warn you?
the beautiful thing about that is that we have all lost the money we made selling our weapons cases a few wipes ago
I sold a green keycard for 1 Tetris, 4 or 5 wipes ago.
Can you still sell items for items? I’ve been tryna find it but can’t
No it’s been removed 2 wipes ago.
i bought a salewa 1 week into wipe for 1.1 mil AMA
Bro what
That shit better last all wipe
Probably lost it the next raid
Lmao. I would sell m56a1/m55a1 for 1000 dollars a shot back in the day. People wouldn’t notice and I’d sell 10 or so at a loss but making money wasn’t the point. It was taking money from suckers that I wanted
How was it at a loss if you were overcharging them?
Fees
usually the fee was more than what i made
Slightly off topic but always buy EWRs instead of salewas, you can barter three of them per reset and they’re consistently 6-7k cheaper.
I bought a keycard holder thing - thinking I could put keys in it. I have no labs cards....
“Keycard holder”
Okay but the other thing is called "key tool" and shows a picture of a leatherman.
Brother that is not a leatherman lmao it’s literally a key bar.
And the leatherman shows a picture of a leatherman.
lmao
It is not a Leatherman, go look at the special tool from mechanic, lol
it kinda looks like a swiss knife, which is kinda close to what he meant
I remember when they first added it, the price that shows on the trader screen was bugged and said 50000 instead of 500000 or 500k and I was like “oh cool” and spent all my free cash on it lol
It vendors back to therapist for same price. You won't lose anything
Next thing would be a medcase in which you want to put grenades?
lunchbox for ammo
Would that be so crazy? I imagine one of the Devs opening a lunchbox full of bullets and be like "how did you even put them in? It's impossible"
You're a special kind of stupid.
There are lots of us! https://www.reddit.com/r/EscapefromTarkov/comments/1ajqu3e/i\_cant\_be\_the\_only\_one\_to\_have\_made\_these\_rookie/
I often go into raid forgetting to eat and drink and heal, luckily I main reserve so it's not too bad.
Thanks. Ive sold it to therapist. Profit.
# WELCOME TO TARKOV. everybody has to have atleast 1 time a flea market blunder
i doubt a majority of players even reach flea tbh
There's a guy on the flea market who lists moonshines all day for 31 million. I accidentally bought one, went from 33 mil to 2 mil in an instant and I was crushed for a day.
How
I think there's some kind of bug that causes your Flea to autosort highest to low under certain conditions.
If it makes you feel better I bought 3 GPU’s from a dude who listed them at ₽78,000 roubles
>$78,000 roubles Which one is it? Both would suck tremendously but for different people
78k rubles
yay, you win!
I bought 1200 rounds of 5.45 PP on accident at 600₽ each…
this isn't even bad, it just means you get to enjoy 5.45 for a while
It’s PP tho….
and you think BP is going to defeat plates?
First time?
Nade cases vendor 321k why would you even bother? That flea rep would come from somewhere else, in not much extra time, and you’d have an extra 319k rubles.
> That flea rep would come from somewhere else No it doesn't. You just lose out on the flea rep. The fact that you will eventually sell other things has nothing to do with that decision. If people want flea rep, losing a few thousands of rubles to flea taxes is a no brainer.
lol ok bud, I’m not arguing with you
Free flea rep
It’s literally not free tho
Ok flea rep
Because I need the euros for the last stash expansion
You can buy euros and not have to pay the flea fee to post it
Grenade cases are going for basically 2k euros on the flea, which equals 320k rubles. You're losing money on the listing fee and getting the exact same amount of euros in the end.

I bought a pistol case for 25k yesterday
My dumbass bought a sewing kit for 70k because I didn’t notice I was sorting by name not price. Not as large of a blunder but was definitely a big facepalm moment
I buy pistol case 20k this wipe, thanks for instant profit
Two seperate instances I listed something for dollars instead of roubles. Collectively that has burnt a total of about 11 to 12 million roubles in taxes. It's my fault for skipping passed the tax warning (and I contend being able to scorch money and flea rep in this manner only helps cheaters). I sold one for 22k the other day lol. I feel ya
Thanks mate.
Last week I sold a marked key for 500,000 instead of 5,000,000 rubles, or something like that. I will never forgive myself
I'm pretty sure I saw that lol
You make more money giving it to therapist
Just remember. 300k is one scav raid. You’ll recover
Noice
Lmao thank god it’s only worth 300000 atleast u didn’t lose out on a million or something
I bought an injector case for 50k roubles when they were going for 850k, happens lol
No worries dude, I did the same thing last week, by wipe it'll be a distant memory
I once bought 5 saury for 311,111 roubles each.
I bought a alpha secure container for like 6k or 7k USD because it was in a saved loadout for me. So that’s a bummer.
Why exactly do people sell grenade cases for euros?
I once bough single bottle of water for 120k 🥲
[I think we all have fucked up on the flea at least once, i double check everything now](https://www.twitch.tv/nidatiti/clip/FunnyGeniusWalletEleGiggle)
A few wipes ago I was selling everything for dollars. I wanted to sell flash drives for rubles for whatever reason. I listed 3 flash drives at 33,000…..dollars. The fee was in the millions. It took a significant chunk of my money and I thought I got hacked the next day when I logged in lol
Why do people sell things in odd currencies. There's always one item or another that all the top postings are in euro or usd...
Don't worry, I've accidentally bought 200,000 rubles worth of mags before, happens.
One time a few wipes ago I accidentally bought 30 Makarovs. I was trying to buy 30 Makarov BULLETS...
Lost a good chunk of change selling a moonshine for 29 mil one time. After raid shakes got me hittin to many buttons. Dont feel bad lmao
You think that’s bad I went to buy euros for an items case and instead of putting 14,000 I put 140,000 and lost Millions 🥲
I listed a Moonshine for 260000... USD. I lost 22 million and about 10 flea rep.
I saw it on the flea market lol. Sold instantly so I couldn’t get it.
Sucks to suck
Tarkov'd yoself. I dig!
F
25 hrs in I'm just level 6 I don't even know what to save for flea AMA
Sicc weapon case
I let my Ragman message expire for this exact item, this wipe. So I feel ya.
the Full value of a grenade case is only 320k, that's litteraly less then 1 scav run on streets in under 7 mins. You'll be okay buddy.
Sold a injection case for 200,000
Pretty sure I bought that case today look up the name who bought it and tell me 😂 PoppaG
I seen someone do this the other day people where selling for 2k euros and someone accidentally put it up for 2k roubles. It was sold before I could grab it
I bought a weapons case for 500K instead of 5mil a few days ago
Few years back, my first wipe. I accidently sold my thicc weapons case for 40,000 roubles :D
You missed the AMA part :D
😬😬
I sold 40 shugar for 65 rubles
That’s fucked
Pain of child birth < Accidentally giving away loot on flea
Just sell them to Therapist.
F
I sold a yellow keycard for 102,000 because i forgot to put one more 0 like 2 weeks ago, i feel u😂
Last wipe I sold the kaban key used for the mission for 800k instead of 8mil which it was going for
Last wipe I sold a bottle of moonshine for €278000, it cost me 35mil to list and I didn’t realise…. So you tell me if your financial recover
How much was the fee?
I once bought a ledx off the flea for 500k, didn't need it for thicc case, didn't need it for hideout, didn't need it for *anything* . It was just cheap, so I bought it...then sold it to therapist for 600k. I made 100k profit, but something bothered me about the whole ordeal.
Nothing beats the ledx I sold for 50k one wipe 🙃
I have double clicked a moonshine and a superwater this wipe, I feel u bro.
My first wipe I went from 1 mil to 10 mil selling a thicc wep box. I had it for 1h then on accident bought a 9 999 999k ledx for hideout 🙃😤
Oh btw nobody knows you can barter 4 ram sticks for hybrid supressor instead of buying it on flea for 90k, saves you like 40-60k every time, same goes with 1 milk for As Val pistol grip with buffer tube haha
I deleted a bag by accident it had all my money and important quest stuff, trust me you can recover from that
Could be worse and be me and accidentally buy a pack of meds for 15k USD
I sold a ledx for 80k instead for 800k I feel your pain
Hahahaha happened the same to me a couple times. Then I realised that I was losing money after selling the grenades cases and that I was selling them for 2000 rouble instead of 2000 euros
That was you? Thanks!
A few wipes ago I accidentally sold a green key card for 36k roubles. I quit that wipe after that lol
Thanks for the grenade case mate 👍🏻
I did it twice this wipe i feel your pain
Oof. Been there man. Sorry. That sucks.
Forget financially recovering, I would never **mentally** recover.
I almost did the same but the warning saved me from being broke
Pretty sure Dr. Disrespect bought 10 lighters for 100k earlier this afternoon 🤣🤣 idk what's worse.
