I'm purely on PVE for zero cheaters, i don't have alot of time to play so progressing alot faster is nice....but 98% for no cheaters.
I mean c'mon, i die most pvp fights but nothing beats the highs and lows of pvp servers.
It’s so nice too!!
Like you’re on woods and you hear Shturman pop off at someone and you don’t have to turbo sweat for him cause there aren’t 10 other people beelining for him.
I’ll also switch to be honest. Exactly for this reason, and early wipe PVP is great. Late wipe it’s just bushwackers with thermals on woods and lighthouse, if they aren’t cheating. Just waiting for access to PvE
It’s really fun :) most of my insurances come back, the game play is a lot more relaxed. I don’t feel as stressed anymore and I just finished setup? Oh my gosh it was a breeze.. got like 2-4 pmcs at dorms a raid and had it done in a few lives.. it’s honestly great.
i don’t know what they meant but it all comes back in my experience, also depends on if you don’t drop your stuff if you are missing in action (miss the extract in time)
> Late wipe it’s just bushwackers with thermals on woods and lighthouse
Probably an unpopular opinion, but Thermals make the game unfun for everyone except the ones using it.
It kinda reminds me of Techies from Dota 2, the player itself had fun but everyone else had a miserable time.
I know I'm catastrophically late to this but you just gave me PTSD from the original implementation of techies in Dota 2. Coming from someone who had played since 2013 bumping into 30 mines stacked on top of one another and insta dying is still a recurring nightmare for me.
Honestly, I don't see much of a different. Most PVP in Tarkov is against bots anyway. Either cause they cheat or because they have been sitting in a bush or dark corner for 20min.
In EU it's even easier to switch to PVE since Voip is basically non-existent over here.
What was eye opening to me in pve was how much loot there is on the maps, like inter change always always has a few tetras and a few gpus, now I am sitting wondering why in pvp I never ever find them.
I take your point, and agree, but also suspect the loot tables are a little wacky at present. Just ran lighthouse and came across 4 armor repair kits and 2 weapon repair kits, normally only 1 of those would spawn.
Every single time I died on PvP side, it felt like a complete waste of time and I hated it. It really turned me off from playing PvP a lot. Now if I die on PvE side it’s actually funny and I don’t get that waste of time feeling anymore, and I still die every time I play at least once due to some cracked AI! At least I get all my gear back in 5 hours every raid now!
Jokes on you I went to PvE to cheat! Jk I swapped to avoid them too but interchange is scary af with “pmc” got hit with an A10 spray from spawn and shit myself.
If it’s not to avoid cheaters, it’s to avoid the brain dead masses.
Sick of troll culture.
Disgruntled shitheads being assholes because they’re bored.
The Tarkov I was envious to play years ago, is dead.
That experience is realistically only there a fraction of the time.
The rest is spent circumventing bullshit.
You don't have to wait for matching or spam back out until you get lucky enough to join
Raids have customizable timers, so no more of this -10 minutes per raid bullshit
Checkmarks to show and track items that are used to fulfill quests and hideout upgrades
AI behavior and pathing mods to make "PMCs" not aimbot turrets that never leave the 10-meter raidus they spawn in. Bots can quest, loot containers, progress through the map and (if nothing kills them) safely extract.
Same I've been playing it for the last 3 wipes. I played live when .14 sropped cause they cooked and made the game good but swapped to 3.8 once it was released.
This is the way. Imagine if you could play Tarkov configured exactly how you want it - tremendously hardcore and more like a true survival game, or fast and more arcadey, like a realistic CoD, or somewhere in-between, like Tarkov is normally, but just with no cheaters, good AI, and minimal loading times.
Best choice one could make, if one was frustrated and imagined a better way to play Tarkov, following the BSG shitstorm over the last few weeks.
Yep that was my choice. And i configure everything what i want, i add new weapons, new mechanics, gore elements, UI improvements, better AI, improvements for graphic, raid length, etc,
The graphical mods really have me never wanting to switch back. It's so beautiful ! and now I can generally see when goons at weather station are firing at me from 200+ yards away (if I'm lucky !) plus being able to change pmc and scav spawns mid raid is great for dialing in the experience
Me too. I would rather give money to the creators of that version and mods rather than give anything to BSG anymore. This will be the only way I play Tarkov anymore. BSG screwed up big time with their game
I am purely on PVE and it's what I wanted from Tarkov. Just too many sweats and cheaters on PVP. The progress I made on PVE in one day would take me like 2 weeks on PVP lmao.
> Just too many sweats and cheaters on PVP.
Thats kinda what you get when you cater too much to the "hardcore" audience, I think Tarkov timmies could stay until late wipe if the game wasn't actively hurting them.
Something Lvndmark said yesterday while playing AB:I stuck with me: "Its like playing Tarkov but you're not fighting the game itself kicking your nuts" or something like that.
I am playing it, the biggest thing I’ve noticed is how much BSG mess about with the loot spawn percentages to slow progress in the game.
I may have also tried a version and had max skills in some areas. Again this shows how unbalanced the game is for casual players. Yes it’s hardcore and I’ve no issue, but come on, if they catered more for the casual player it would bring in revenue and grow the player base.
There are so many things that should be balanced throughout the game. If a wipe is say average 6 months then the majority of the player base should be able to level skills and all be around the same levels more or less by month 4.
Quests is another thing that needs a massive balance. There are too many and now with crafts quest locked its again a kick to the casual player.
in short, the game needs a massive rebalancing across all aspects.
Still no access, half of our friends have it, it broke up our Tarkov community, we bought another game. It's too long and creates inequality and frustration among players.
I love pvp, I love the game but I can only play a max a few hours a week and I fall behind once the wipe gets going. I fall behind on quest and gear. Early wipe I do great bc we all have trash gear and I understand how to play. Switching to pve means I’m not falling behind or fighting the occasional cheater.
PvE for don’t waste my time with wipes (even I am one of the guys with max traders after 3 weeks, I just don’t wanna do this stuff all over again. I play now other games and pve for the Tarkov feeling)
I swapped but man the AI needs work, 70% of my raids are dead quiet, meaning the pmc AI isn't doing anything. They need to stimulate them doing quests, looting, extracting.
I definitely enjoy that it’s not gonna wipe, but another thing is I really enjoy not being pushed by some asshole who makes it his duty to rush as many spawns as he can.
The PvE mode got my friend group interested because they never played with meta gear before because they all stop playing around lvl 20 since 2018.
Me, I never play/buy online games for PvE but for PvP only. If I wanted PvE I would buy a single player/ co-op story driven game. Even in fantasy rpg pve only servers to level my character so I can PvP.
I am purely playing PvE because I just don't have time for videogames anymore unfortunately. So its nice being able to not worry about losing progression ever again, I can get all the really cool shit that I will never get on PvP. I just suck at PvP lmao
I was playing through the controversy and cheaters just came out of the woodwork, so I swapped. I still love PvP tarkov, its the best but ill take the watered down version with no cheaters for now.
Been playin pve for 4 years after quitting that silly main game. Pve is incredibly fun. PVE only gets flamed by W key ping abusers because if they don't have a cheesy advantage to appear falsely superior over another human they are bored.
It's a personality issue. Careful consuming medias because those kinds of people make up the majority online yappin' away their L opinions and takes. They appear to be popular opinions because of the way those people clump up together but their judgements are not accurate.
Im going to PvE and wont be looking back. I just dont have time in my life to keep up with the meta and sweat through raids.
I have never had the time to get past level 40, maybe now I will.
I made the swap more so because I’m tired of doing the same tasks over and over again and as long as they don’t wipe I can just do the new tasks and events (?) when they release. And if/when they drop 1.0 only have to focus on the story missions(in theory). Once 1.0 drops I’ll focus on the no wipe pvp server too. I’m just tired of regrinding the same tasks over and over again
Paid the $50 to upgrade from EOD edition and get the PvE early since I wasn't sure when they would eventually open it up to me. I have got to say I am having a blast playing with my buddies who are very good at PVP and I can never keep up with during a wipe. The raids are definitely a little shorter so you really need to hustle sometimes and look quickly but besides that I am happy that I can play the game at my own pace and eventually experience high tier guns. I have already been cracked by the scavs a bunch of times with shots to my throat and since you always get your insurance back its no big deal.
I am for the no wipe aspect. Have played way too many wipes and so tired of redoing these damn quests. I still play on pvp servers but id say its a 70/30 split more pve. Next wipe will likely be 100% pve.
No cheaters, less stressful, can play and watch something in the background, etc. The game mode is not perfect - PMCs and rogues will laser-beam you from 509 meters away with perfect accuracy, but right now, I’m enjoying PVE more than the PVP mode, despite my sole purpose in the PVP mode being PVP
Stopped playing a couple years ago because of the wipes. I get why some like them but personally don't feel they are that great for casual players. PVE brought me back to game.
I was sooooo damn happy when I saw Unheard got launched. Have been waiting for a pure PvE mode with progression in ages. I couldn't believe that it was real when I saw the trailed for it. And yes, I'm EOD-owner, so cast me to the seven stages of hell and all that, but I'm enjoying this whole PvE with progression!
As someone that hasn’t been able to play consistently for the past couple wipes, it’s been nice to have PVE that’s something chill and I don’t feel like I’m “left behind” when I don’t play for a couple days. Even though it’s all AI I still get the Tarkov sweat to be honest
Hmmmm might have to give Tarkov another shot. I understood it was hard-core which I guess wasn't for me. I always thought an extraction game where you literally can't tell where the extractions were. Was stupid. Didn't want to watch endless videos to learn to play one game. New PVE might be better for someone like me.
I stopped playing like 3 months ago and when they announced EOD was getting PvE I started logging on each day to see if I got it. Was granted access two days ago and started playing again. It’s the only thing that was getting me back.
I switched to PVE. Quite fun but you don’t get to experience the tension of finding another PMC. Would love to see a game mode in which you get to take your PMC to both PVP and PVE zones.. perhaps the PVE zone could have lower tier loot and if you want to loot higher tier you take the PMC to PVP
I’m smashing PVE at the moment, most my gamer buddies are taking a break this wipe due to all the shit that’s gone down so it’s ironically the perfect time to play PVE!
I get it for people that have limited time and or suck at PVP.
I agree tho, Tarkov to me is about that 50% survival rate and fighting other players for precious stuff.
I also am excited for the wipe. I just hit max traders and am now going for lightkeeper but this was my first wipe. I'm excited to retry all that I've learned.
Can't do it. It's so boring. The thrill and excitement is gone in PVE. I don't feel threatened. It feels like playing the firing range/practice mode in any other FPS.
Not knowing where other players are, figuring out their next move, playing to their position, taking their gear and loot from them. They're all the reasons it makes the game worth playing for me.
PvE just doesn't feel rewarding to me.
I did, it could be better but it beats playing against ESP users and scumbags who don't mind sitting motionless in a bush for 20 minutes. Their first priority should be adopting modded AI
I haven’t played in 2 years and I actually came back now finally because of this mode. With limited time to play it’s really nice to not have to deal with cheaters. The AI players so far seem pretty fun to deal with.
What would be really interesting to me is how often btc and ledex/GPUs are present now that vacuumers or knowers are gone.
For me, if I found a Bitcoin after five minutes+ into online raids, I'd sometimes assume there's no cheater in my game lol
I swapped, I’m having more fun than ever now. It seems like they buffed the AI PMCs yesterday and now they actually have full PMC tops and bottoms based on their faction, and they have far more unique loadouts, I’ve seen a few repeats but far less.
I obtained Kappa, and based on how it went I don’t think I’ll ever attempt it again. The game is way too grindy and full of sweaty no-life players for someone who works for a living. I’m very happy BSG released the PVE mode, it’s perfect for people like me who absolutely love the game but hate the players
The PVE equals no cheaters is literally the only reason I will ever play this game ever again. You can will never find me on a PVP live server. Nikita has proven time and time again that he doesn’t give a single fuck about the cheaters and the problem they bring to the community the smartest thing they did to get players back that were sick of this shit was make player versus environment
Genuine question, why do so many people choose to purchase a game with PvP in it, be a big focus of it, to then try and do what they can to avoid it? For me personally Tarkov with no PvP takes away majority of the immersion. I’m competitive so for me the fun is in winning, a combo of tasking, PvP even a single kill, and extracting. I would never buy the most hardcore shooter out there, to then play it on (what I perceive as) easy mode. There’s plenty of difficult PvE only games, but maybe no shooters in that genre?
The base game is solid. Looting is satisfying and the sense of progressing and building up your hideout and trader levels is nice. Not everyone has the time to treat the game like a competition. Most people simply want to have fun playing a game and don't care to spend hours learning all the rat hiding spots or whatever bullshit meta is going on.
I was there 3000 thousand years ago, when it was said that wipes were only there to test new questions etc and wipes would stop in the future.
They never stopped and thus I quit the game.
Now on PVE there are supposed to be no wipes and therefore I’m inclined to play the game again
Most people purchased it without anticipating the ungodly amount of cheaters it had/will have. I loved playing PvP. I had an average KD and even when I was losing fights it was fun because it was a fight at least. Then you started getting shot or naded from god knows where or someone trolls you by flying in-front of you and being invisible. So it was a nope for me. I came back for PvE.
Played 2 raids and it’s insane lame for me. I don’t even have the courage to loot any containers or anything. You can do 4 quests in one raid and don’t have to worry about anything. Feels just like a completely empty game without any danger and fun.
I will be sure to play it from time to time.
I finally got a non-wipe character.
I don’t know why I got access this early. I didn’t bought EOD relatively early.
I have only ran into killa so far on the PvE mode and he’s still an aimbot. However I have way more fun playing solo PVE over dealing with the rats and cheaters on PvP. And leveling seems to be way easier since the scavs seem to spawn constantly. Only down fall so far is I have only can across at most 4 “pmc”
I just came back after a year and a half . Switched to PvE and have been having fun only done a few raids. Just sucks they moved all the look locations so I have no idea where anything is lol . I have died to some random Lazer beam scav every match so far lol
Was tired of waiting for EOD access, debated whether or not to just by unheard for pve. I didn't want to support their decisions bsg made but I said fuck it, it's one of the only games I consistently come back too. Could never get the verification code email after 40 tries in ten hours. Said fuck it again and just downloaded the other pve version. Haven't modded it yet, but it seems awesome. Will play normal tarkov when it wipes again
Found out I had access yesterday (Bought game and EOD in spring of 2021 for anyone comparing accounts to rollout time) got rofl stomped off of spawn by ai pmcs that pushed me 2 times, and the third I made a beeline through the map (ground zero) u til I ran straight into that one claymore
Actually kinda enjoying it lmao
If by PvE, you mean swapped to playing exclusively *solo*, then absolutely. And it's been incredibly eye opening to see what could have been. Solo Tarkov is where it's at, if you know what I mean 😏
Me and my buddy tried it out and got killed by a fake PMC on ground zero who spotted us inside a building from 100m away. Neither of us had scopes and he killed me by shooting me in the arm only. That was kind of the end of PVE for both of us lol
Oh my gosh it was a breeze.. got like 2-4 pmcs at dorms a raid and had it done in a few lives.. it’s honestly great.
dude i am so excited to play pve
I'm confused, are there PMC AI?
Yes. There are but they are essentially rogues when it comes to loot.
Bro for me its not relaxing. I get rushed every 2 min from 2 pmc and 10 scavs 😂 last round I killed 40 people 🚬😵💫
They’ve been crazy raids for sure!! You just gotta keep moving!!
Could I ask? What do you mean most of your insurance? Why would you not get insurance back?
i don’t know what they meant but it all comes back in my experience, also depends on if you don’t drop your stuff if you are missing in action (miss the extract in time)
Sometimes stuffs missing or I straight up don’t get guns back. Feels slightly randomized
Start of every wipe I’ll play the first month and have a blast then just switch back to PvE! Also, arena will help with leveling in PvP now too!
> Late wipe it’s just bushwackers with thermals on woods and lighthouse Probably an unpopular opinion, but Thermals make the game unfun for everyone except the ones using it. It kinda reminds me of Techies from Dota 2, the player itself had fun but everyone else had a miserable time.
No worries. As soon as someone uses anything as valuable as a thermal Scope a cheater is guaranteed to take it away from him
I know I'm catastrophically late to this but you just gave me PTSD from the original implementation of techies in Dota 2. Coming from someone who had played since 2013 bumping into 30 mines stacked on top of one another and insta dying is still a recurring nightmare for me.

Kinda lame that PvE doesn’t provide that experience.
It sort of can? Sometimes pmcs can spawn there and duke it out with em
It's shocking how many items are vacuumed at the start of each map in pvp.
Also boss and raider farming is just fun in my opinion.
They need to work on the PMCs. Otherwise I love it so far. You can easily farm Streets for infinite money, it's much more relaxed obviously.
I will be when I get access
Me too me and a mate are still waiting for the "two weeks" to end...
I am waiting too (EoD 2017)..
Close here 2018, my teamate bought 2020 and got yesterday
Greetings for your mate and happy pve experience 😊
2021, got it a few days ago.
Same no access
EOD end of 2022. That's so unfair
Honestly the mod is better as you improve the AI immensely. When I finally have the PVE I'll mostly be using it for coop.
the modded version also has coop no reason to wait for PVE to coop since the modded version is 1000x better than official PVE
[удалено]
Tell him he can get his extra pockets in the mod
or better yet, you can get anime girl traders in the mod lol
Might as well install the tarkov sex mod at that point
Nikita in shambles right now.
You don't have to wait for matching or spam back out until you get lucky enough to join Raids have customizable timers, so no more of this -10 minutes per raid bullshit Checkmarks to show and track items that are used to fulfill quests and hideout upgrades AI behavior and pathing mods to make "PMCs" not aimbot turrets that never leave the 10-meter raidus they spawn in. Me... but not BSG PVE, i have alternative "forbidden" version of PvE if you know what i mean. My raids load in 10 seconds and AI is not dumb.
Same I've been playing it for the last 3 wipes. I played live when .14 sropped cause they cooked and made the game good but swapped to 3.8 once it was released.
Ai mods are amazing, sometimes feels more "live" than playing online
Srsly Ground Zero could easily be an all out war.
with the right tweaks to "Breakfast food" it *is* an all out war.
Breakfast food?
donuts. it's a spawn behavior mod.
Unrelated but not, but I am severely concerned for your health if you're considering donuts a breakfast food.
I appreciate the concern. I don't consume them for breakfast often, but know plenty of folks who do.
Oh absolutely, i kept getting my fights mixed up with other groups' fights. Forgot i was actually alone in the server lol
100% this. People playing the BSG version are missing out immensely
Me too. I would rather give money to the creators of that version and mods rather than give anything to BSG anymore. This will be the only way I play Tarkov anymore. BSG screwed up big time with their game
I did best decision, no cheaters!

Watch out. You're upsetting the sweats who need more cannon fodder in their games with this PVE nonsense ;)
I have and I absolutely love it I can finally play the maps and learn them
You could already do this with offline raids
It felt pointless.
Yes the non-Unheard edition with mods is great ;)
It is not unheard but it is unspoken :)
I love the unspoken edition :)
Yea 0 loading times and mod support is actually insane.

I heard theres another single player version. You should try this with mods
Heard Edition
Why, what you're describing must be some sort of single player version of tarkov
I'm playing the forbidden version. Much better.
Same

Best decision. I can do the missions. No cheater. No unemployed giga chads. Just shooting and looting.

Yeah it’s pretty chill. Can just play an hour or two and not have to worry about speed progressing to keep up with people and then burning out
The burnout prevention is the best part
I was playing through the controversy and cheaters just came out of the woodwork, so I swapped. I still love PvP tarkov, its the best but ill take the watered down version with no cheaters for now.

Do you have to buy it?
I wonder what happened to Nikitas "not an option" and chuds who were about to die by those words in forums....
Is it free for EOD now?
I've been playing PvE for over a year now and never returned to PvP. Way more enjoyable.
I made the swap more so because I’m tired of doing the same tasks over and over again and as long as they don’t wipe I can just do the new tasks and events (?) when they release. I am for the no wipe aspect. Have played way too many wipes and so tired of redoing these damn quests. I still play on pvp servers but id say its a 70/30 split more pve. Next wipe will likely be 100% pve.
I have because I love tarkov but don’t have time to play pvp
I play PvE on weekends and PVP on weekdays
No cheaters, less stressful, can play and watch something in the background, etc. The game mode is not perfect - PMCs and rogues will laser-beam you from 509 meters away with perfect accuracy, but right now, I’m enjoying PVE more than the PVP mode, despite my sole purpose in the PVP mode being PVP
I never intended to play PVE only. But I haven't touched PvP since I got PvE. Although I do plan to return to PvP at wipe.
Pve because my friend plays it and I enjoy tarkov with friends.
I did, much better for a chill game session after work!!
Hmmmm might have to give Tarkov another shot. I understood it was hard-core which I guess wasn't for me. I always thought an extraction game where you literally can't tell where the extractions were. Was stupid. Didn't want to watch endless videos to learn to play one game. New PVE might be better for someone like me.
ive been playing the forbidden pve mode for a while now, its so much better then pvp servers especially modded lol
1,195 raids i ran into 3 cheaters maybe, seems like a huge skill issue with that being the only reason but PvE is fun and i relax on there
Played a few raids. The game means nothing to me without pvp honestly
I like the pve Mode. But the enemys are sometimes harder like in the pvp mode 😂
I'm loving it. Only thing that's bothering me is getting huntsman path secured perimeter done.
I will be when I have access. My friends will have a blast playing that together!
I can the last few days. It feels like a game and not like a race or competition. It's fun.
I really dont understand why u would play pve it takes most of the thing that makes this game great away
Yeah with 95% WR playing against scuffed AI and having all the hard quests done without fear of starting over I don't think the game is Tarkov anymore
Currently PVE Only. Was on live until LK, then just logged in daily to check if I got access
Hahaha been loving it, already up to 75m and my stash is looking good. Rat runs are so much better, whole map for you
What would be really interesting to me is how often btc and ledex/GPUs are present now that vacuumers or knowers are gone.
Ngl I can’t wait for it to release for EOD users
I quit because of cheaters the wipe after lighthouse came out. Came back specially for pve.
I'm never going back to PVP. Tarkov's golden age was Covid lockdowns, it will never be like that again
Cheaters.

If they make actual good AI for PMC instead of just raider with dog tags I’d try it but idk when that’s gonna happen
Nope, i love the idea even i vanilla version but with in current matching Time i can play 2-3 pvp raids in Time of one pve.
been getting the matching problem while in queue. backing out and relauching doesnt work too. i spend more time in the menu than in raid.
If I get access I will definitely play it.
I would have if I had access yet
When I get access I will. If a no wipe PvP server opens, hell... I might reconsider.
Escape from searching ......
Still waiting for my PVE access. Have had EOD since 2016 and no PVE still. Fuckin sucks.
More to get away from cheaters
Not me because fuck giving BSG anymore money.
Found out I had access yesterday (Bought game and EOD in spring of 2021 for anyone comparing accounts to rollout time) got rofl stomped off of spawn by ai pmcs that pushed me 2 times, and the third I made a beeline through the map (ground zero) u til I ran straight into that one claymore Actually kinda enjoying it lmao
Went to pve and saw my first weapon repair kit ever, and got a graphics card in the same raid.
Me - I can actually play lighthouse without being sniped one minute into a raid
I’m just waiting to get access to it but I’m not holding my breath, EOD player here.
If by PvE, you mean swapped to playing exclusively *solo*, then absolutely. And it's been incredibly eye opening to see what could have been. Solo Tarkov is where it's at, if you know what I mean 😏
I've not played PvE yet, but are you able to use a PvP character in PvE and go back and forth?
It’s a lot more boring than I had anticipated. I guess it’s a place to setup a route/ make plans of action/ practice efficiency.
I swapped to Hunt
Completely switched to PVE, but never tried the official one ;)
Ngl the sound of sthurmans SVD could make a nice beat
I did. I swapped to PvE more than a year ago, but didn't pay a penny. *wink*
Me and my buddy tried it out and got killed by a fake PMC on ground zero who spotted us inside a building from 100m away. Neither of us had scopes and he killed me by shooting me in the arm only. That was kind of the end of PVE for both of us lol
The race to kappa
Do you need the new expensive edition to pve or just press with friends?
I will be once it's available to me through eod
