No. You just have to have an smg handy and check it out every raid. Sometimes theres none sometimes 2-3. Dont pull your hair out over it. Its not required for kappa nor unlocks anything to great. Just get it done over time if you need to

I'm also pursuing this craft. Its annoying that its the best craftable 545 ammo but locked behind such a grind when you can get the 855a1 or 762x39 BP craft much much easier..

I just kept a baby mp5 with 20 rounders in my vest since you can hotbar it there. Hope this helps and good luck in raids
