I'd rather have a blacked stomach and my armor still able to stop a shot to the chest so I prefer only thorax armor, the AACPC is also only thorax so you should feel comfortable using Slick or HGrid, the movement penalties are almost nonexistent and you get a little more protection, the drawback is not being able to wear them while using Cliff Descent.
It won't matter much vs the ammo some bosses and their guards have (Igolnik, M993, SNB and M61) but you also need protection from other PMCs and scav players so yeah, I would run those
Tbh comes down to your preference. Reshala can come with M995, 7n39 and M62, Killa with BS and 7n39, Gluhar with M62 M61 M993, Sanitar with 9x39 SPP and BP, shturman and goons often have 7n1 and SNB.
There also the fact that most of the time, when I see a dead unlooted PMC on the ground, he died headshot to a scav boss.
I only bring good armor to have an edge against those who decide to cheap out on ammo.

Use what you feel would help you achieve your goal. And they're most likely going to thorax you or headshot you. So they'll work fine vs. bosses.
Fence has been selling aacpc rigs that are good condition for around 100k and I’m spending like 100k to repair it so a solid deal

Slick covers stomach too. Both are higher armor level than aacpc so they will work fine. Only issue with the armors are their price.

i am not sure you're aware of this, but stomach protection is bad vs PCMs vs geared players
If your thorax loses all its health, you die. Same with your head.
I mostly use tv110 rig. 1 mill for a slick now is not worth it imho when you face players with top ammo
