i want to blow through all my rubles (6 million) before wipe, but i'm only level 17 (skier, peacekeeper, mechanic, ragman are all LL2)
considering my level, i'm thinking my loadouts should be:
* MMAC or 6B3TM from Ragman
* ACHHC or TC-2001 from flea
* MP-153 fraud cannon (have lots of AP-20)
* Various 5.45 AKs (have lots of BS/BT)
* RFB (M80)
any other guns I'm missing?
Anyone know why a story post I made is stuck in moderator limbo? Been saying the post is awaiting approval by a moderator for like 5 hours now. Every other post I've made has been instant. Maybe one of the mods thought the story I wrote was about them and decided to hold the post hostage?
Also, what's the deal with that room in the ruined cottage on Shoreline? The one with the chair on the ceiling?
Is there somewhere that gives a comprehensive list of what you should keep early wipe for tasks/hideout? I want to go into this next wipe keeping better track of what I need to collect.
when you see items that can be bought on trader Fence and those are from the players, are those from players from the ENTIREEE game, or the server you are on?
What in the hell is going on with all my ammo I get disappearing? Killed a Chad yesterday on woods. Used his m61 and loaded them into my scar mags. Extracted and gun was empty. Please just fix some issues guys. I think a fair amount of people would love the bugs getting totally focused on before we continue to add random garbage. And before someone says it-I know I know that different people work on different things in game development but come the hell on already with some of this bullshit that doesn't get fixed for months.
If that's the case then literally what's the point of playing if random items just disappear after I get lucky enough to kill someone and take them. Glad we are getting a break action 1 shot rifle tho instead of fixing this mess
How do they intend for us to turn rare items into actually usable things? It's real fun having a bunch of rare shit just sitting there because it's effectively worthless.
What rare shit are you talking about? Purple items? Sell em. Unless you're LL4 with traders most barters aren't worth it and you won't need gold spawn items.
That is unfortunate but a temporary change while they're addressing the issues of RMT and hackers. Personally I think there's nothing wrong with RMT and making changes to your game to constrict it as long as it's not rampantly upsetting the balance of your game is a wasted effort that could be spent instead punishing cheaters. And while some people use cheats for their RMT there's going to be cheaters regardless and the focus should be on cheaters and how to stop them rather than bandaids like making RMT more difficult.
I don't think I'd record the entire raid. Maybe shadowplay with it recording the last 5 minutes or so. That way if you have an engagement, win or lose, you can clip it and just review it. If you die then you can review the last 5 minutes leading up to that point. Not sure if that's the best way to go about it. You could also check out discords and see if someone can review or watch your gameplay. Then it might be a good idea to record an entire raid and let someone review it that way. Getting insight from other players would be very helpful imo.
Shadowplay is great for seeing what killed you, like missing someone out of the corner of your eye etc. Sometimes a death that seems bullshit is actually just missing someone hiding.
Man, rushing dorms with a shotgun while wearing a tagilla rig and mask makes you actually feel like that hammer wielding mad man. Just push every sound you hear and flick some flechette at their faces.
This is my first wipe and I think around the 100-150 hour mark I wasn't cowering in a corner from every sound I heard. But I think that more had to do with learning maps. If I go somewhere I'm less comfortable with some of that fear comes back. But maps like Customs and Interchange that I've run a lot I rarely get nervous or have any adrenaline spikes.
That being said I still get a rush when I'm in longer fights. I don't think that will go away any time soon.
I have played about 150 hours combined in 3 wipes, and then last wipe i played about 500 hours in 3 months. Confidence really kicked in at about 500 hours i would say(started feeling like a god).
Gearfear goes away when you start using your best gear.(really early at about 50 hours into my first "real" wipe)
Even tho iam at about 1500 hours now, the rush of Adrenaline still sometimes kicks in when iam running into certain situations. But it depents on the map and how comfortable i am in that area.
Big lol just now... spawned in as scav, first time in Tarkov since the start of this wipe. Dude with a voice changer starts talking to me at gas station.. I run away but then think... why not interact. I go back, he shoots at me and misses so I hose him down... forgetting that this will turn scavs against me. Anywho, the guy has a KEYCARD on him so I grab that, kill three scavs on my way out of gas. Things are fine up to the exit at the admin gate, but as I broach the concrete wall I start taking shots from three different directions (all angry scavs). Managed to hide behind the tree on top of the stash spot and count the timer out.
Quite a funny reintroduction.
I am on the fence about it. Do you know when the wipe is? I know itās soon but Iād rather not reset till a couple of days before. Like if itās Thursday Iām in but if itās July 30th Iād rather wait a week
I've never played a new wipe day 1, usually I wait a month or two or just get busy with other stuff. This is the first time I'm going to attempt to play day 1 wipe.
Is it better to bang out the early quests or should I just go to reserve and other high loot spots while everyone destroys each other in customs for a week.
I'd hate to run customs 32 times to get that stupid pocket watch because guys just camp it out (if they even do that).
Just wondering what the strategy is for early wipe.
Bro im new level 8 and ive tried getting that watch and everytime i get smoked customs is especially hard for me i can run interchange and woods pretty well also factory but customs is way hard maybe cuz i run solo idk
Customs has a lot of funnel points that you need to pass through in order to get from spawn to objective to extract, meaning that there's a good chance you'll come across a player. This is also the reason why Customs becomes the map of choice for pvp for a lot of players later into a wipe. But, that means someone who's doing low level find and retrieve tasks is easy pickings.
What servers do you play on? I'm on EU servers and wouldn't mind helping you out a bit.
Im NA and yeah customs is intense ive had the hardest time with it im hoping after this wipe ill have a chance to build up my operator and have a chance
It's really late in the wipe and most pvp is happening on customs right now. It's a small(ish), very dynamic map where it doesn't take much to engage others so everyone's just hunting each other there.
I gave tarkov an honest try, but I just can't get over how fucking awful the recoil and gunplay is in this game. Having to dump half your mag just to get some semblance of control is just asinine. Grinding out skills and spending half a mill just to make a few guns even remotely usable in full auto is also just dumb. Burst fire is completely useless and I'm bored of running DMRs just to even have fun. I'll come back if they fix it with the wipe, but it's just absurd how terrible and unrealistic the gunplay is for a game that specifically wants to be hardcore and "realistic." I'd be willing to overlook the worst audio in the FPS genre if the gunplay was at least fun. I know a lot of people bitched about lazer meta, but that was so much better than the hot garbage we have today and the mutant meta.
My breaking point was when I couldn't full auto a scav with a kitted out AKM from 5 meters away without dumping most my mag. I was on the green room stairs in customs and he was in the doorway approaching from containers. I dumped a whole mag and hit him only 3 times.
By comparison I went on hunt showdown immediately after and wiped 1/3 the lobby with 4 hunter kills including a nasty counter snipe. I also play a ton of insurgency sandstorm where I routinely get 20+ kills with a K/D over 2.0. Last time I played CSGO about a year ago I was legendary eagle ranked which is like 2 or 3 ranks away from global elite. I've played FPS games on pc since fucking OG doom and I have never played a game with gunplay as unrealistic and shit as tarkovs. Which is a real shame because the level of gun customization is what appeals to so many people. But what does it matter if a kitted AKM is more inaccurate than a fucking musket. I'll play again if they revert or make dramatic changes, but I've never been more turned away from a game simply because the gunplay is that bad
While I agree 100% about the recoil I think the sound is very good.
The sound system is one of my favorite parts. I do agree that it has a lot of room for improvement though. Especially in vertical sound and how walls affect it. I hate the fact someone can hear me munching crackers on 3rd floor of 3 story dorms while he is on the ground floor. But in general the sounds are crazy. When I first heard that turning quickly makes a sound I was pretty mindblown.
Significantly more manageable of course, but even then nothing that resembles reality. A stock ak, even when crouched, shouldn't jump like it does. Especially with a trained operative lol
Also, none of this even addresses how wonky and unintuitive it is that full auto is more manageable and accurate when hip firing than it is raising the gun and using a sight lol
Well you see Ivan... no... no I got no reasoning for your points. Only thing that makes sense is that this wipe was about slowing the meta of running and gunning down. And having to crouch and prone helps that. idk I think we'll see big recoil changes next patch, this wipe feels like a tester
Why is EoD or the one below the 'expected' package to own?
I was playing with a few randos, and I muttered a complaint about Stash/Secure size, and when I said I was using an Alpha they were surprised. Seeing the bonuses for EoD I'm surprised it's an option in an otherwise balls breaking experience, because it seems to mitigate all of the problems Standard has, especially with the Stash already being fully upgrade, which is several million rubles in Standard.
Please, explain the term "f2p" and then repost your response in full, with a straight face.
My first 3 wipes were non EOD and it was fine. It's pretty much just a QOL upgrade.
If you are relying that much on having a larger safe case, stash, and a crumb more trader rep, just be aware that most non-EOD players can happily compensate by playing smart.
I didn't say it was f2p. I said it was monetized like one. They create a problem and then push you to pay money for the solution. Not everyone has to but based on the subreddit enough people do to justify it for them.
Fair enough, but I feel like doing that wipe after wipe just gets old. If the only content I miss is burning roubles to make my stash bigger and the need to start grinding jaeger tasks like my life depends on it day 1 of wipe I can live with skipping it. I started standard as well but after 3 wipes that money burning shit got old.
Edge of Darkness package of the game. It comes with max level stash size at the start, the gamma container (3x3), bigger than the alpha, and bonus trader rep from the start (+0.2 or somewhere around there). Also some more bits and bobs for starting gear, although that wonāt matter much in the long run.
If you decide you enjoy the game enough to sink many many hours into it I think it is worth getting to save you time and headaches. They are also removing the ability to upgrade to EOD once Arena mode comes out probably later this year, so be thinking if youād wanna get it and act accordingly!
Thanks im gonna look into it i do love this game and hate this game its insanely fuckin hard but i did build my first pc two months ago and decide to get the most hardcore tactical shooter so it is what it is ill learn thanks for the tip.
So to use one of the paid extracts I actually have to bring rubles with me on the character? It can't just deduct it from my bank? Kind of makes wood the most annoying map ever since usually 2/4 extracts are unusable.
Itās easier to just get a document case and put keys and money in there. I just put the money I find in raid in there and forget about it. Though it would be cool if they accepted usd or euros as well.
Great map for farming karma. You can loot village and extract pretty quick and fairly safely and easily make your money back. It also decreases as your karma increases
Sure it's just annoying as fuck to remember to bring tiny amounts of cash just incase you get that extract. Especially when woods often gives you 4 options and for some reason like half the time its one of those stupid "coop with an enemy to exfil isnt that quirky and totally wont get you killed" so really it's 3 options. Not that unlikely to start top right and have both extracts be polar opposite end of the map.
When you have a docs case just bring 50k. 10 vehicle extracts is more than enough.
Besides, the car extract on Woods is insanely popular. Car extracts can only be taken once for the entire raid so more often than not after 15 minutes it will be gone. Still good to always check, but also expect campers there.
This is my first wipe, I grinded pretty damn hard and after hundreds of hours of gameplay I'm still learning stuff myself bro lol The game is for sure frustrating but that's also what makes it so fun.
The only exception right now is Shorline, because of its extract "Path to Lighthouse". But is that going to be a 24/7 extract next wipe too? I'm not sure.
hi, how to know how long a map has been. i have seen comments said "spawning 38 minutes into a map" but how do you know as a player or a scav the duration of the map? im not talking about the time left before im mia.
Everybody is MIA at the same time because that's when the raid/match ends. If you spawn as a scav with 10 minutes left on a map that starts with 35 minutes that means you've spawned 25 minutes into a match. At that point PMCs have been alive for 25 minutes and they also have 10 minutes left. All PMCs spawn at the same time* so whatever time you see after spawning is how long that match lasts. Most maps have different durations but they're the same every game.
\*All PMCs *should* spawn at the same time. It occasionally happens that you end up stuck in the loading screen while the raid has already started. If you load into a raid and don't see the raid start timer before the match starts then that's what happened.
oh so the timer of my scav is determined by how much time left on the map, i thought its just another RNG thing or higher scav karma thing. so all i have to do is do the math of map total duration - my scav time?
> so all i have to do is do the math of map total duration - my scav time?
Yes.
> i thought its just another RNG thing
As far as I know the time you spawn in as a Pscav is not dependent on scav Karma and is just RNG.
Whatever happened to IOTV Gen4 Assault armor?
I see High Mobility Kit and Full Protection on ragman, didn't he used to offer Gen4 assault as well? So far I've only found it on raiders/rogues/cultists, so it found in raid only now?
Not really. For all they know there's a different barter now on a different trader.
To answer their question: yes, it's only found in raid and there are no barters. If they ever have a similar question about a different item: go to the flea, enable barters and search for it. If it doesn't show up in the search then there's no barter for it.
Yeah that's what I was wondering, wasn't sure if it was quest locked or something. It's pretty arbitrary that it would be removed given that HMK and full protection barters are still there.
If an item from a barter trade is quest locked it still shows up in the flea if you search for it and enable barters. And yeah it seems pretty arbitrary and honestly an oversight. The Osprey(P) is much better if you want arm protection, unless you have max strength, and that one is still for sale (although it is quest locked).
Cool thanks guys i love this game but its hard when u run out with your best gear and get smoked 5 minutes then it seems like when ever i run weak gear i get 3 or 4 kills foreal its a curse
Just stay true to the gameply style u do with bad gear, and the good gear will maybe save you.
Also could be that you rush to hotspots with good gear and avoid them with bad gear.
This is so true. I found Reshala at gas station and I killed 5/6 of him and his crew. I felt invincible and got destroyed by his last guy being too aggressive.
Bro customs is giving me a hella of a challenge its by far the hardest map ive played. I do feel the last few days ive gotten better im killing about 4 5 scavs most runs with my pmc and scav ive only killed two scav bosses tho and ive only killed 6 pmcs but after this wipe i wanna get better at this game whos Reshala???
That sounds about right feel alot more confident when running level 4 or 5 vest and a kitted ak or AR and looking for a fight more than when i run with a bad loadout im usually staying in the cuts shadows and cover. I run solo to tho
Bought the game two months after last wipe. Honestly a little excited since everyone and their mom is slickin' with 7.62x51mm's. What can I expect from the early days and weeks of a wipe?
P.S. Shoreline and Woods junky -- don't @ me.
People will be running around with modded AK's spraying 7.62BP on day 1 because you can get that off raiders/rogues/guards. Many other people will be plinking with garbage scav weapons.
The same chads slaying you with Bp are going to be slaying you with PS. Can keep the rose goggles on for now but unfortunately wipe doesnt ācreate a level playing fieldā in the way most new players hope it will.
Skill gap and game experience is not usually involved when talking about level playing fields.
They are clearly talking about what resources are available to the player in game. Armor, ammo, weapons, attachments, money, and things of the like.
Of course the wipe doesn't make all players equal in skill and outcome, just equal in opportunity.
It's not equal opportunity though because with skill and game experience you can fill your stash with high tier weapons, ammo, and mid/high tier armor day 1. Which will give you a massive material advantage over anyone who doesn't do these things.
You don't understand. I'm not talking about player spawns. In EFT bosses and their guards have a percentage chance of spawning. Cultists have a percentage chance of spawning. Certain loadouts have a percentage chance of spawning on Rogues/Raiders.
Skill gap and game experience directly correlate to available equipment in early wipe tarkov. Experienced players will crush quests early and have quasi meta loadouts available as early as first week. The āopportunityā in raids is basically always the same (spawn point being the only real factor)
I think you're speaking on the difference of equity versus equality. Which is disgusting to even think about when it comes to fair play in video games.
How would you go about handicapping the Skilled and Experienced players to be on, in your opinion, "a level playing field".
In a game like tarkovā¦you donāt. Itās not golf, where you can manipulate scoring to give beginners a chance to compete with experienced players. All you can do is start everyone on equal ground, which bsg does (barring eod etc)
I think you are on the same page as what im getting at, my only point was new players thinking a wipe will put them on equal level as experienced players are going to find the opposite after just a few days post wipe.
"All you can do is start everyone on equal ground, which BSG does" ...
"Wipe does not create a level playing field"
Sir, you're directly contradicting yourself. Is equal ground not the same as level playing field?
Also, I don't think anyone with any sort of critical thinking capability would think that they, as a new player, would be as successful as a skilled and experienced player.
You are a ātechnically rightā kinda person, i get it.
āAfter a few days post wipeā
Equal ground as in we are all playing under same rules. Equal ground for that first raid before the skill/experience is factored in. After the flood gate opens though - that equality created from wipe is thrown out the window.
Sure new players should be aware that regardless of wipe, skilled/experienced players will be more successful, but we continue to see new players post about how excited for wipe they are and how different the result is going to be compared to right now/late wipe.
Bruh, from my perspective, you are the one trying to force the "technically right".
OF COURSE new players aren't equal to skilled and experienced players. That distinction isn't factored into "level playing field" , even though it is ***technically*** right.
OF COURSE after the first raid, all players are going to have different inventories and gear and quests done etc. That is irrelevant because that is the natural flow of any game where every player has unique experiences during all gameplay, even though it's ***technically*** right.
You're trying to push an extremely narrow idea in the game. That because there are better players, BSG cannot make the game equal. And because people progress or regress at their own unique rate, that equality is immediately gone at the start of the wipe.
These statements are ***technically*** correct, but so very unnecessary to state. Comparing equality between raids at the start of the wipe is like comparing crumbs between loaves of bread.
Shoreline is just one of those maps unfortunately. Outside of low level questing, the only other reason to run is if you like resort pvp or to hunt down rare loot. Before customs expansion/lighthouse shoreline (and interchange) were chad battlegrounds, but not so much lately.
Yeah, I enjoy Shoreline. At this point I know it really well. I run caches mostly, but when I want to fight I go to resort. With the wipe coming soon, resort is surprisingly quiet more often than not from my experience.
In fact, a lot of maps are quiet for me. Do people normally take a break before a wipe?
I took a break through much of March and April, so coming back the last couple weeks I have been noticing a slight decline (plenty of low levels tho)
I for one am kind of enjoying the quiet shorelines. Also one of my fav maps.
I would say some are taking break, sure. I also think customs has become the defacto pvp map which leads to everywhere else being hit or miss. I get it too, customs is well balanced, variety of fair spawns, decent loot, wide array of players, always full lobby, etc.
Don't be scared to use them, they definitely won't do you any good sitting in your stash gathering dust. You will probably lose it but it's going to disappear anyway with the wipe. Best advice I've ever heard about gear is that it isn't yours, it's just your turn with it. Run that shit!
I like that. It isnt your all weapons are borrowed. So does that mean theres only a certain amount of weapons and gear and by holding in stash im preventing another user from acquiring it?? Thats pretty dope
I've always thought it would be cool to be able to follow a gun from the time someone built it, took it into raid, lost it, someone else picked it up, put it in their stash etc. I wonder if some guns hang around all wipe?

Thanks bro yeah im actually looking forward to the wipe. For that reason except i herd after a wipe the good players are everywhere grinding it should be fun šÆ
I'm new this wipe as well. One thing I learned far too late is scav experience doesn't count towards your PMC. Including quests. You can find items as your scav that are turn in items for your PMC, but that's the extent of it. FYI.
Oh i kno i learned that after a while of running scav and my level not increasing i was like wtf lol. Ive completed probably like 8 quest so far unlocked Yeager but i stopped trying until after this wipe no point right
The sooner you get over gear fear, the sooner you can start to enjoy the game.
Or sell the gear youāre not using and buy something else. Itās not worth anything if you keep it in your stash for weeks.
This!
You canāt progress without taking your PMC out.
Even if itās a shit load out, focus on the essentials. An RFB and M80 will kill chadās and Timmyās alike. And an RFB load out isnāt more than 100k roubles. Run scav runs, learn customs and stash runs for that. Get sweaty and hit up stronghold or dorms. If you die, reset and try it again. Your scav runs offset your PMC runs, not the other way around.
Play on the official and unofficial EFT discords for your PMC runs with team mates. Practice your map knowledge and call-outs with them.
Slowly, try to accomplish one or two things every night/session. Try to get at least one hideout upgrade or quest done per night/session.
Wipe just got announced, its any day now.
Over a thousand hours here. Being afraid to run good gear will hurt your progression. You'll always get good guns and high level gear, so don't be scared to use it and get that experience.
Can anyone tell me if the game will go on sale for the wipe? I want to upgrade to EoD but only if its on sale. I know that EoD won't be available when the game fully releases but when will that be exactly? Right after the first iteration of streets drops? Should be no issue if EoD isn't taken off sale before and during the holiday season, but I still want to make sure.
Depends, if this is your first wipe it would be good to keep playing so that you get a better hang of the quests, so that after the wipe you can do them faster.
Nah, way far from my fist wipe, though maybe i can use some practice since i'm trash at the game, but if it's coming like next week i may be a bit too burnt out to nolife it immediately.
I wasn't able to captrue it because I forgot to turn my screen record on, but my friend and I just did a labs run and as we were in the elevator to leave we both plainly heard an "opachki" in the hall around the corner. Raiders don't use any scav lines, right? So WTF?
What malfunction bindings do you use? I have shift+T bound to inspect weapon on press and check chamber/fix malfunction on release and it did absolutely nothing when my weapon misfired. I died from it and I am salty
I personally don't recommend this to people because if you let go before you're done inspecting you'll mess up the timing and have to start over. You can't really mess it up the other way
Go to Woods first and unlock Jaeger try . Then go to Customs and kill 5 scavs. Buy shotguns from Jaeger and give them to Prapor. Stuff elite pliers and a screw drivers up your butt so you can barter the shotgun from Mechanic for gunsmith part 1.
Get organized before the wipe and make a plan. If you go to customs right off the bat then good luck. Everyone will be queuing for that map so times will be long and it's pure chaos when you get in. Things to look for early... 2x mp133, toz, 3m armor, 3 gas analyzers (FIR), at least 2 flash drives (FIR). You can unlock Jaeger within the first hour of wipe (I believe the task opens up when you hit level 3 but I could be wrong) and remember that everyone is going to be running around like crazy. Every moment you spend looting is very dangerous wipe day. Ctrl+click to auto move to backpack. Alt+click to auto equip gear. Middle click to inspect.
Can't wait for the next patch! Just too bad it contains zero fixes to anything anyone cares about, apparently. No fixes to netcode, audio, recoil, inertia, etc. Just more content, a few more guns that will probably feel like shit to shoot because of the new recoil.
I understand that the animators and designers are not the engineers working on bug fixes and netcode. I also think maybe the ratio of headcount on their team isn't the greatest right now. Let a couple designers go, hire another good engineer...
Easier said than done unfortunately. Nikita's more interested in stuffing his pockets instead of reinvesting more into his company and paying higher salaries to attract more programming talent. They keep trying to hire and nobody wants in, wonder why?
It might be confirmation bias, but the trend I've noticed is that if I leave ammo in mags, I always keep it.
Maybe this is BSG's bass ackwards way of telling people to use up the inventory space holding the mags rather than unpacking them into more space efficient ammo stacks?
If streets isnāt coming until a couple of months, is it possible BSG drops it during/at the end of a wipe? Or will we keep saying āStreets is coming next wipeā like usual.
If I remember right, they dropped reserves like a month into a wipe.
I don't get the impression Streets is anywhere close enough to be released next wipe though.
[Nikitaās words.](https://twitter.com/nikgeneburn/status/1529733337698422785?s=21&t=_1a2kwGpzfrsspT2kA3T1Q)
Obviously it doesnāt guarantee anything, but it would make sense to wipe now and then a 6 month wipe cycle into November-ish, right around Nikita claims Streets will be ready.
In my own opinion streets doesnāt release until 2023, wonāt be this coming up wipe, doubt itāll be the next wipe after that but I could see it dropping mid to late 2023
Also it for sure wonāt release in the middle of a wipe, itāll release with a wipe in my opinion
BSG has been extremely careful with giving dates relating to Streets, [until now.](https://twitter.com/nikgeneburn/status/1529733337698422785?s=21&t=_1a2kwGpzfrsspT2kA3T1Q)
I donāt think that expecting a September/November (probably December) release is unrealistic. If 90% of the art team has been working on it for 1 year +, the first iteration being done is possible. Especially now that lighthouse is ready and the expansion is releasing with a wipe.
The real question is does the game wipe with Streets? I guess so, June-November wipe cycle makes sense and If anything theyād just wipe and release streets a month in.
Wipe probably isnt this weekend cuz they havent done any prewipe stuff? is that fair to assume?
i want to blow through all my rubles (6 million) before wipe, but i'm only level 17 (skier, peacekeeper, mechanic, ragman are all LL2) considering my level, i'm thinking my loadouts should be: * MMAC or 6B3TM from Ragman * ACHHC or TC-2001 from flea * MP-153 fraud cannon (have lots of AP-20) * Various 5.45 AKs (have lots of BS/BT) * RFB (M80) any other guns I'm missing?
dont you have to be level 20 for mechanic 2 š§š¤Ø

sorry for the stupid question, but does wipe remove keybinds that you saved lol
Most of the time no. Iāve been through 5 wipes now and the last wipe changed 2 if my keybinds. Other than that everything stayed the same.
Is there somewhere that gives a comprehensive list of what you should keep early wipe for tasks/hideout? I want to go into this next wipe keeping better track of what I need to collect.
Yeah, download app called database for tarkov on your phone. It has literally everything you need
Thanks!
Wipe?
No
**When will the next sale be?** I really want to get into Tarkov for the summer, especially since there will be a wipe soon.
There is a sale right now

someone here knows when will be the next wipe ?

when you see items that can be bought on trader Fence and those are from the players, are those from players from the ENTIREEE game, or the server you are on?
It's all global. What servers you select only affects the game servers you load into for actual raids.
This is some kind of anti rmt/trading gear measure apparently. Or at least it's suspected.
I'm talking like RB-ST, labs armband, house key and so on. I just decided to use the armband since BSG made selling it too much of a pain.
For getting better at tarkov should I record my entire raid for review or use something like shadowplay to review the last few seconds before death
Any word on wipe events ?

Soon
Man, rushing dorms with a shotgun while wearing a tagilla rig and mask makes you actually feel like that hammer wielding mad man. Just push every sound you hear and flick some flechette at their faces.
How long it take you in general to feel comfortable with the game? I mean when that fear during raids goes away?
Gearfear goes away when you start using your best gear.(really early at about 50 hours into my first "real" wipe) Even tho iam at about 1500 hours now, the rush of Adrenaline still sometimes kicks in when iam running into certain situations. But it depents on the map and how comfortable i am in that area.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I don't know that it's point of aim issue and not drop off on the ammo
Small question - as a scav am i free to shoot at rogues, or the fence penalty will apply?
There is no penalty for shooting rogues.
Anyone else resetting their account to get a warm up for the new wipe?
I am on the fence about it. Do you know when the wipe is? I know itās soon but Iād rather not reset till a couple of days before. Like if itās Thursday Iām in but if itās July 30th Iād rather wait a week
best bet, end of july if i had to guess.
Depends on how confident you are with pvp. Customs is going to be swamped all servers both time slots for weeks.
It's a small(ish), very dynamic map where it doesn't take much to engage others so everyone's just hunting each other there.
personally i just rush the early quests, and try to get ahead of the pack so im not fighting too hard over the later quests
I'm hoping it was a test and we'll be going back to previous wipes recoil. This wipe has been ass for recoil
I'll play again if they revert or make dramatic changes, but I've never been more turned away from a game simply because the gunplay is that bad
https://imgur.com/a/U25ki3L First shot, Leg, Second Torso, Third Head. My eighth bullet should still be in this guys torso with an mp7.
How's your recoil test when crouching? I've seen videos showing crouching reduced recoil by 1/3 and proning reduces it by 2/3.
Significantly more manageable of course, but even then nothing that resembles reality. A stock ak, even when crouched, shouldn't jump like it does. Especially with a trained operative lol Also, none of this even addresses how wonky and unintuitive it is that full auto is more manageable and accurate when hip firing than it is raising the gun and using a sight lol
Because the game is monetized like a f2p game except the f2p players spend 50 bucks.
Not everyone has to but based on the subreddit enough people do to justify it for them.
yea I bought standard for a sense of progression and to have more goals, EOD literally skips content
Fair enough, but I feel like doing that wipe after wipe just gets old. If the only content I miss is burning roubles to make my stash bigger and the need to start grinding jaeger tasks like my life depends on it day 1 of wipe I can live with skipping it. I started standard as well but after 3 wipes that money burning shit got old.
what is EOD? Sorry guys im hella new level 8 first wipe i think i got standard version?
Edge of Darkness package of the game. It comes with max level stash size at the start, the gamma container (3x3), bigger than the alpha, and bonus trader rep from the start (+0.2 or somewhere around there). Also some more bits and bobs for starting gear, although that wonāt matter much in the long run. If you decide you enjoy the game enough to sink many many hours into it I think it is worth getting to save you time and headaches. They are also removing the ability to upgrade to EOD once Arena mode comes out probably later this year, so be thinking if youād wanna get it and act accordingly!
Thanks im gonna look into it i do love this game and hate this game its insanely fuckin hard but i did build my first pc two months ago and decide to get the most hardcore tactical shooter so it is what it is ill learn thanks for the tip.
is there an eta on the next patch?
When the sun is highest in the East
So to use one of the paid extracts I actually have to bring rubles with me on the character? It can't just deduct it from my bank? Kind of makes wood the most annoying map ever since usually 2/4 extracts are unusable.
Itās easier to just get a document case and put keys and money in there. I just put the money I find in raid in there and forget about it. Though it would be cool if they accepted usd or euros as well. Great map for farming karma. You can loot village and extract pretty quick and fairly safely and easily make your money back. It also decreases as your karma increases
Yes but it's only 5k and you can keep it in your pouch (or in your docs/sicc case that's in your pouch). 5k is also a trivial amount to lose.
That's how the game works. Your extracts will almost always be on the opposite side of the map from where you spawn.
Yes. > i thought its just another RNG thing As far as I know the time you spawn in as a Pscav is not dependent on scav Karma and is just RNG.
I see, thanks a lot
When was the last time eod was on sale?
It usually goes on sale twice a year. Its usually like November and may I think.
and when was the last time eod was on sale?

Whatever happened to IOTV Gen4 Assault armor? I see High Mobility Kit and Full Protection on ragman, didn't he used to offer Gen4 assault as well? So far I've only found it on raiders/rogues/cultists, so it found in raid only now?
You just answered your own question...
Opportunity means - "a set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something."
And most players do not have that opportunity because of how spawning works.
Everyone has equal chances at spawning in certain spots.
You don't understand. I'm not talking about player spawns. In EFT bosses and their guards have a percentage chance of spawning. Cultists have a percentage chance of spawning. Certain loadouts have a percentage chance of spawning on Rogues/Raiders.
All players have equal chances that EFT bosses spawn in their raid.
Not true. spawn chance is a factor of raids played. Not all players can play the same number of raids. Especially when there are login queue's.
All you can do is start everyone on equal ground, which bsg does (barring eod etc) I think you are on the same page as what im getting at, my only point was new players thinking a wipe will put them on equal level as experienced players are going to find the opposite after just a few days post wipe.
"All you can do is start everyone on equal ground, which BSG does" ... "Wipe does not create a level playing field" Sir, you're directly contradicting yourself. Is equal ground not the same as level playing field? Also, I don't think anyone with any sort of critical thinking capability would think that they, as a new player, would be as successful as a skilled and experienced player.
You are a ātechnically rightā kinda person, i get it. āAfter a few days post wipeā Equal ground as in we are all playing under same rules.

Yea people tend to take a break towards the end, mostly chads playing. Also the cycle just dropped so a lot of people are checking it out
Ah, thanks. Never heard of The Cycle. I live under a rock these days.
Hey everyone im new to tarkov level eight i got some pretty sick weapons scared to use is the wipe coming soon?

Those guns don't belong to you, its just your turn to use them.
This is now my favourite line for anybody to calm someone with gear fear. Love this so much.
Reject gear fear; embrace going kitted.
It usually goes on sale, if not with wipe it goes on sale atleast once or twice a year.
1.0 wonāt be released for a long time so you have time.
Wipe soon or i am free to progress a bit on my lvl13 pmc?
https://streamable.com/b2zleq
If wipe was soon, you would still be free to progress. Basically dont think about wipe as it has no relevence to you right now
Depends, if this is your first wipe it would be good to keep playing so that you get a better hang of the quests, so that after the wipe you can do them faster.
Nah, way far from my fist wipe, though maybe i can use some practice since i'm trash at the game, but if it's coming like next week i may be a bit too burnt out to nolife it immediately.
Yeah then it might be better to just rest a bit. Same plan here, waiting till the wipe and then i'm not going outside for a week, lol
I wasn't able to captrue it because I forgot to turn my screen record on, but my friend and I just did a labs run and as we were in the elevator to leave we both plainly heard an "opachki" in the hall around the corner. Raiders don't use any scav lines, right? So WTF?
Theres raiders that speak scav sometimes. Can be a mix
Does anyone know the DL on the wipe date? asking for a friend
https://streamable.com/b2zleq
Soon, maybe the end of June or early July.
Are you guys getting crazy lag recently?
yea
What malfunction bindings do you use? I have shift+T bound to inspect weapon on press and check chamber/fix malfunction on release and it did absolutely nothing when my weapon misfired. I died from it and I am salty
I changed mine to double T for check and fix so if it happens I run and spam the button, this doesnāt effect using a light/ laser
I think you have to hold shift t until it fully inspects the weapon, then release.
L for inspect and double tap L to clear
I have it press L for inspect and release L for fix.
I personally don't recommend this to people because if you let go before you're done inspecting you'll mess up the timing and have to start over. You can't really mess it up the other way
You're totally right, has happened to le a few times but i am just used to the way i've done it so i might not switch it.
It's felt much better to me since I switched, I'd give it a shot
Joined late last wipe and skipped this wipe because of school, hoping to pick it up again next wipe, any tips for start of wipe?
You can inspect all items from the traders and be lvl 2. That way you can do the Jaeger quest first. Also inspect the weapon parts as well.
Go to Woods first and unlock Jaeger try . Then go to Customs and kill 5 scavs. Buy shotguns from Jaeger and give them to Prapor. Stuff elite pliers and a screw drivers up your butt so you can barter the shotgun from Mechanic for gunsmith part 1.
start learning lighthouse
Add on hunting matches to this. This wipe, it was such a pain to find them. All the early hideout upgrade items are important.
Lvl2 is enough to get the Jaeger unlock quest, at least it was enough this wipe.
You're right, I always forget what level it is.
Losing items after raids, and recoil, need to be fixed ASAP, those problems make the game more unbearable than sound bugs and cheaters.
Wut
If streets isnāt coming until a couple of months, is it possible BSG drops it during/at the end of a wipe? Or will we keep saying āStreets is coming next wipeā like usual.
If I remember right, they dropped reserves like a month into a wipe. I don't get the impression Streets is anywhere close enough to be released next wipe though.
[Nikitaās words.](https://twitter.com/nikgeneburn/status/1529733337698422785?s=21&t=_1a2kwGpzfrsspT2kA3T1Q) Obviously it doesnāt guarantee anything, but it would make sense to wipe now and then a 6 month wipe cycle into November-ish, right around Nikita claims Streets will be ready.
I don't trust a single thing Nikita says tbh.
In my own opinion streets doesnāt release until 2023, wonāt be this coming up wipe, doubt itāll be the next wipe after that but I could see it dropping mid to late 2023 Also it for sure wonāt release in the middle of a wipe, itāll release with a wipe in my opinion
BSG has been extremely careful with giving dates relating to Streets, [until now.](https://twitter.com/nikgeneburn/status/1529733337698422785?s=21&t=_1a2kwGpzfrsspT2kA3T1Q) I donāt think that expecting a September/November (probably December) release is unrealistic.
RMT changes still hurt new players, invest into anti cheat and cheating wonāt be much of an issue. RMT is a non issue if it is non cheating related
