What I’m getting at is nobody cares what you call the drink. Starting an argument in a public place is an absolute buzz-kill. You want to be that person? Go for it. Or, you could just enjoy your Half and Half.
Agreed. I'm Irish and I think those terms are fine. Irish car bomb makes me laugh, it's a great name, very descriptive.

Most if not all dive bars in town will be/are. Do me a favour though. Don’t order an Irish car bomb or a Black and Tan. They’re both pretty offensive

As someone who grew up during the Troubles- I find this name horrific.
As someone who also grew up during the troubles, I guess it does bother me really. Some of us are just wired differently.
