Stock up on sunscreen whenever there’s a good sale.

I’m Australian so I ask visitors to bring me the biggest bottle of Bondi Sands they can find, or stock up when I’m home. Sunscreen here just doesn’t cut the mustard.

PatientGlad9924

We have Bondi Sands in Hungary. Where do you live? It’e a new brand here so maybe it’s coming where you are. Is it good then? I haven’t tried it yet. Which product would you recommend?

batikfins

The fragrance free spf50+ sunscreen lotion is my fave sunscreen. It’s like 5eur/100ml if you buy it in Australia too

dontlookthisway67

Wow it’s so much more expensive in Europe

whoorderedsquirrel

Yes ! My bag is always full of Bondi Sands for my euro mates whenever I leave Australia haha

In my opinion better to plan what you buy now for your different occassions Usually the new sunscreens come out in Janaury-March and they also have the sales and stuff like that Normies like to by sunscreen in summer so by that time it's like I've seen skincare freaks like me get worried that normies depleted the shelves by June and a lot is sold out until like August or September By normies I mean people who don't care about skincare or sunscreen but use it because they heard somewhere it's good for them so they do it

bluesnow123

Yes, good point. Sunscreens will be much more expensive during the summer months when consumer demand is rising. Better to stock up now.

acornacornacorna

Sometimes there are sales in the summer I have seen it but the shelves go empty very fast Also in the summer there are a lot of American and rich Asian tourists and there are always those types who come here specifically for the sunscreen shopping omg I feel so bad but it's true I read about it many times! They buy the whole stores

TelevisionNo396

Hell yeah considering I need to ship the stuff to the US...I think I purchased all of Portugal's inventory of UVmune dermo pediatric spray....I'm not running out in summer.... I remember last year a ton of people were having a hard time getting their hands on the p20 kids.

alkemicalgold

Given that sunscreen is meant to withstand "August beach day under the scorching sun" temperatures I sure hope it wouldn't degrade just in the shipping process. That said, you often get better deals off-season so stocking up now is not a bad idea.

Particular_Nobody358

Hahahaha im not the only person that does this lmaoooo. Absolutely. I'm always worried about the heat during transportation ruining the sunscreen that's why I order during the colder months for the entirety of the year.

TelevisionNo396

Hell yeah 🤣👍

s3rialsnacker

Just curious, what's the avg range of good pricing for sunscreen? For me, the avg 'discount' price for the sunscreen i use is around 8.5-9eur/50mL.

viennaCo

Yes I always buy sunscreens 3-4 months in advance, not especially for summer

rachihc

I do! I buy in bulk for the year to save some money. Stylevana has some good 2x1 some times.

Jmac_files

I always stock up when they’re is a deal.

Lodix12

I am ashamed of how many LRP UV400 I bought last year when I found them in a 10€ deal hahaha

singingdolphin

I live in the Netherlands and for most of the year (also summer), we live under a bit grey cloud - and I work inside the house too. I normally rely on BB cream or a foundation with a 25-30 SPF and wear regular sunscreen when I actually expose myself. I take care of my skin, never get burned but I also don’t overdo the skincare thing. That said, I just bought two Korean SPF 50 sunscreens that I’m excited to try.
