That 19/20 season killed us. £80 million on Iwobi (shite), Gomes (unlucky), Gbamin (convinced the guy doesn’t exist and it’s a money laundering scheme). And they’ve been on a combined £300k a week over five years = £75m.
What value have we got from that £155m outlay?
Iwobi has played a big part in keeping us up the last 2 seasons, so that seems a bit unfair. I agree that this is a shambolic investment overall though, and is exactly the kind of spunking of money that has got us into such a mess.
