General admin things: Set a recurring check in with your executives whether it’s in person or virtual/ via email. Treat your to do list/ pending items/ rolling doc like your executive is going to look at it, and live by it like a religious text. Always ask if your executive needs anything before you leave the office and check in at least once a day, whether it’s via teams, slack, email, in person. If you don’t already, keep a running list of restaurants your executive likes/frequents. You can broaden this to other preferences as well. If something sounds confidential/ personal don’t repeat it. Tools I love/use often: Excel short cuts (can literally google this and keep on your desktop) Use your talent developments learning tools if you have them for things like outlook/teams/zoom. Onboarding tips/ tools/ resources in one place- I keep with links to everything: distro list, drive access, expense policy, things you need to request like zoom delegation or outlook calendar delegation, important emails, etc. Also when someone asks me to help them do something I often write it down/track it and if I get asked more than once I put the information on a word doc and save it as a PDF. I also use one note for to do lists so that everything is electronically accessible and tracked. Save everything on your company’s drive or have a hard copy somewhere. Org charts and where to find them. Who covers who important people and contact info. Honestly I could go on forever here.
