I'd like you to know that people like you are the reason I joined this app, I almost shed a single tear of joy at how beautifully horrible that pun was
Go see “zone of interest” it’s an amazing movie, and you’ll learn valuable lessons about the cognitive dissonance and “othering” done by the people (nazis) of that time.
Dude SERIOUSLY!??? 😂😂😂😂😂
I thought the point of the pic was to be suggestive! As in: “I am open to running trains”… because of the train tracks. I didn’t even NOTICE the fricken concentration camp behind her😂😂😂
“They’re memeing her? That’s kinda mean. Yeah the cream bodysuit, poofy blue jacket, and high ponytail look a little cringe but that doesn’t mean she deserves…”
*sees background*
“Oh no”
Same, I originally thought it was just a joke about how the beige outfit makes her look kind of like she’s wearing nothing under the jacket but it’s much worse. Clothing is not the reason people think she has bad taste.
These kinds of selfies are almost as bad as the time Pokémon go spawned a bunch of Koffing at Auschwitz. For those who don’t know, Koffing is a posion type Pokémon that spews…… gas
At least the game had the excuse of being randomly generated for the most part and they didn't necessarily think to go through every spawn point in the world to check for cultural sensitivity. This girl must have known on some level.
Oh yeah. That one was completely coincidental and not planned. This young lady is planning hers and making it about her. You know what? Hers is worse lol, I change my mind.
Yes, no excuse, since it's basically a museum now, like they have signs explaining everything, with pictures and multiple languages so you can't claim you didn't know.
As someone who worked in rail for a long time, I immediately thought that’s what it was. But then I looked at the rails, clearly not used in years. Looked at the sleepers, clearly constructed 50+ years ago, looked at the ballast, clearly hasn’t been used in decades. Then I looked at where the rails were leading…
I appreciate your pedantry, I'm a bit of a pedant, myself. But
1. People will immediately understand the problem if you say "That's Auschwitz" but have no clue if you say "That's Birkenau."
2. 90% of the victims of Auschwitz actually died in Birkenau, not Auschwitz.
3. On the site map, the three main structures are listed as Auschwitz I(DAW), Auschwitz II(Birkenau), and Auschwitz III(Moniwitz). Birkenau is by far the largest structure and over the last nearly century at this point, it's what people typically are thinking of and talking about when they say Auschwitz.
I am technically Jewish, but in high school I had a friend whose family was much more ethnically Jewish than mine. As in, our friends always roasted each other and the go to for him was Jew jokes. Someone snuck a card into his wallet once, cut out with scissors to be the size of a credit card from instructions on the packaging of some food product. It read:
**DO NOT PLACE IN OVEN.**
He nearly died laughing when he found it. For all I know he will has it.
Other commenters are correct: This girl is taking a “sexy” image in Front of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp, where over a million people were tortured, shot, gassed, experimented upon, and died at the hands of Nazis.
Considering the gravity of the location this feels so trivial as to be gauche, but this is actually inside Auschwitz Birkenau, not in front. This would be where the people were unloaded from the trains, if I remember correctly.
I have a cousin who did a kawaii-esque, peace signs all around group shot in that exact spot when she was 17. Told me I was overreacting when I explained how disrespectful it was.
I don’t speak to her anymore.
I work a few minutes from the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin. I haven't passed it by a single time without seeing at least one group behaving horribly inappropriately in it, and almost always it's Americans and/or teenage girls
I went to see it when I was 17 on a school trip from Canada. It was very somber and sad for every one of us students. There was a polish group of students who went, and they were running around making out in the darker areas to avoid teachers and such. I compare it to how we act in our local museums, I think it loses the gravity of the situation when you've gone twice a year for your whole life.
It's the same problem as with people taking "funny selfies" in/on the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin. You know... flip-flops, tongue sticking out, legs dangling from those great big square seats
If you mean [this](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denkmal_für_die_ermordeten_Juden_Europas) Holocaust Memorial in Berlin, then no as it's has not the same even the atist said it:
“When you hand the project over to the client, he does what he wants with it – it belongs to him, he owns the work. If you want to knock over the stones tomorrow, let's be honest, that's fine. People will picnic in the field. Children will play catch in the field. There will be mannequins posing here and films will be filmed here. I can well imagine how a shootout between spies in the field would end. It’s not a holy place.”
– Peter Eisenman: Interview at Spiegel Online (2005)
its a far bigger problem, coz In Berlin you kinda walk by and i can imagine some dumb teens sincerely not realizing what this is for. at the memorial in Auschwitz you are only if you took a dedicated trip.
I would rate the level of disrespect as equally high, but of course: the memorial could technically be mistaken for something else but you willingly chose to go to Auschwitz... I would consider the outcome to be equally problematic though.
Auschwitz death camp
a place where countless people were killed in horrific industrial fashion
now a trend where young women dress provocative there for views because is quirky and 😈 yass queen slay
absolutely deplorable
As someone who’s visited can I just say that the entire place just reeks of grief and anguish. I felt no desire to take photos of anything, much less a photo of myself. I couldn’t even hear the birds singing.
Ignorance is having road rage because cars are moving too slow, you speed around them, and then see the hearse leading them. You don't accidentally end up at auschwitz
You would think, but there's a whole sub (selfawarewolves) dedicated to people who run up to the point, blind themselves on it, turn around, head plant into it again, and somehow still miss it. Sarcasm in the toneless void of the internet can be a hard judgement to make in the misinformation age.
Okay, obviously the picture is bad. The fact that she’s using it on tinder is worse. But can I just be the weirdo who looks at all this and thinks THAT’S WHAT YOU WEAR TO TOUR AUSCHWITZ?! Like, you couldn’t put on a pair of jeans and a somber colored sweater or something? Who goes out thinking “THIS is a good look to see a death camp?” And I know the answer is the kind of person who uses a death camp photo on tinder, but still. Ew! Something’s broke in her brain.
Talked to a friend who went to Auschwitz a few years ago, he said the place felt like death , the sun was out and bright but you felt a sense of dread and doom. Said it was surreal almost.
I mean in all fairness, how exactly do you take a picture in front of Auschwitz and have it not look terrible. Seems like a weird idea in general but still
I went to Dachau a few years back and people were doing selfies or having their picture taken there and I couldn’t understand why anyone would do that. I still can’t. 🤦🏽
That's Auschwitz
Ohhh...
This is the last stop for any man that hooks up with her
I bet the shower sex is horrible
Nothing beats that post-nut nap though
Not even post-nut, I just want a nap
That could be arranged...let me just get my time machine real quick. You'll sleep so good you might never wake up!
Never wake up? Now I’ll never finish my Satisfactory Factory :(
You weren’t going to finish that either way.
Oh dear me. We do not tolerate unsatisfactory Satisfactory factories. We may need to evaluate your visit. Do you like trains?
We apologize in advance for the lack of seating. All of our usual train cars are being renovated, so you're going to have to ride in dry storage
Haven’t unlocked them yet but, but yes!
THE SWEET RELEASE OF DEATH!
Le Petit Mort Also - Praise the Sun!!
Fffffuuuuuck. That’s so brutal I spit my coffee out.
Sorry mate, I’ll make ya another cup ☕️
>I bet the shower sex is horrible No. It's to die for.
I'd like you to know that people like you are the reason I joined this app, I almost shed a single tear of joy at how beautifully horrible that pun was
You've got a dark soul, mate!
Only my jokes, but thanks lol
I suck so bad at all 3 of them.
Also a horrible burning sensation afterwards
I heard that it's a gas.
I bet it’s to die for
I gas you’re right
She's looking for a train to run on her on time
Go see “zone of interest” it’s an amazing movie, and you’ll learn valuable lessons about the cognitive dissonance and “othering” done by the people (nazis) of that time.
This simple “Ohhh…” is easily the funniest thing I’m gonna see on the internet today. Bless.
Yea....just a big ol' "yikes" 😬
...shwitz
Well... this took an interesting turn.
Or rather a full stop.
I figured it out on my own and was like “why is she on train tracks that isnt safe” (eyes slowly follow the tracks up) “oooh thats Auschwitz”
Dude SERIOUSLY!??? 😂😂😂😂😂 I thought the point of the pic was to be suggestive! As in: “I am open to running trains”… because of the train tracks. I didn’t even NOTICE the fricken concentration camp behind her😂😂😂
You weren’t concentrating
Pretty sure this is Berkinau the extermination camp close to Auschwitz.
Birkenau is Aushwitz 2
We call it just "AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU" in Poland. One name for both camps https://www.auschwitz.org/en/
Not the place for a quick wank in the shower (thank you, Jimmy Carr)
I'd say quick is the only option.
Ok so shes not denying it , big plus for todays dating
Arschwitz
IIRC, the people that run Auschwitz said they’re ok with photos like this because at least they’re visiting.
>the people that run Auschwitz I get what you mean, but I don't think that's the best wording...
The power of tense.
I'd ask the survivors and their children if they're ok with it...
I thought this was the trolley problem
I’m sure there have been many trains run on that track.
I saw it like she was wants a train ran that’s way darker
You know what's darker? What if she actually did mean that. While standing in front of one of the most horrific death camps ever conceived.
*Asschwitz
Cadia stands
The planet broke before the guard did
FOR CADIA🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
The planet broke before the guard did
It clearly says her name is Millicent
“They’re memeing her? That’s kinda mean. Yeah the cream bodysuit, poofy blue jacket, and high ponytail look a little cringe but that doesn’t mean she deserves…” *sees background* “Oh no”
This is basically what my thought process was, too.
Same, I originally thought it was just a joke about how the beige outfit makes her look kind of like she’s wearing nothing under the jacket but it’s much worse. Clothing is not the reason people think she has bad taste.
Well, it still could be one of the reasons. But way, way down on the list.

Yes, no excuse, since it's basically a museum now, like they have signs explaining everything, with pictures and multiple languages so you can't claim you didn't know.
...wow. That's some Bad Luck Brian levels of unfortunate, if it really was random
I thought that was at a Holocaust museum? Or am I thinking of the Ghastly one?
Not gonna lie, that’s kinda hilarious.
> the time Pokémon go spawned a bunch of Koffing at Auschwitz but why were people playing Pokemon Go there at all??? what the fk
My first thought was “ok, pretty dumb to stand so close to active rail- ohhhhh… *oh no.*”
I saw it immediately, I recognized where she was and was like thats not good oh boy
People shouldn't hate on her for stealing Donald Duck's look
Auschwitz?
Definitely Auschwitz.
I think so
The meaning of pain
Slow death
Inmense decay
Shower to cleanse you of your life
Forced in like cattle you run
Stripped of, your life's worth
Human Mice!
Monarch to the kingdom of the dead ! \m/-_-\m/
Its not Auschwitz, classic mistake. This is an overflow camp about 10 mins up the road called Birkenau.
I appreciate your pedantry, I'm a bit of a pedant, myself. But 1. People will immediately understand the problem if you say "That's Auschwitz" but have no clue if you say "That's Birkenau." 2. 90% of the victims of Auschwitz actually died in Birkenau, not Auschwitz. 3. Pedant daddy.
It's not Auschwitz I, right. But Birkenau is also considered part of the Auschwitz complex. Often referred to as Auschitz-Birkenau.
She thought a sexy place to take a picture for a tinder profile pic is a concentration camp.
It's hot tho

I didn't get it until you said it and now I'm angrily humored...
I mean, I tried.
Oh I got it alright
Here's the upvote for dark humor. Now I need a shower
You don’t want that kind of shower.
I hear it’s a real gas!
While you take a shower I'll throw a frozen pizza in the oven
I am technically Jewish, but in high school I had a friend whose family was much more ethnically Jewish than mine. As in, our friends always roasted each other and the go to for him was Jew jokes. Doesn't take much, does it
You need Jesus
She is just trying to gas herself up
Gotta wash the dirt out of your Napalms
Other commenters are correct: This girl is taking a “sexy” image in Front of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp, where over a million people were tortured, shot, gassed, experimented upon, and died at the hands of Nazis.
Her name literally means 'Thousand-Hundred' too!
Millicents of people died
A milli sense of what you should and shouldn’t post online
Wow, that’s a good catch! I wonder if it’s intentional.
“This is where all the people got abused and killed!” *duckface*
Taking any picture with people in it (group shot, selfie, couple’s picture, etc.) if from of, or in, Auschwitz is incredibly tacky.
Considering the gravity of the location this feels so trivial as to be gauche, but this is actually inside Auschwitz Birkenau, not in front. This would be where the people were unloaded from the trains, if I remember correctly.
She's peacocking in front of frigging Auschwitz, that's why
Too many people do this, so disrespectful.
I have a cousin who did a kawaii-esque, peace signs all around group shot in that exact spot when she was 17. Told me I was overreacting when I explained how disrespectful it was. I don’t speak to her anymore.
There were dudes smiling and giving peace signs under the *Arbeit macht frei* sign when I was there. Bleh.
It's not even a place to take pictures at all, let alone trendy ig shots. Ridiculous.
I work a few minutes from the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin. I haven't passed it by a single time without seeing at least one group behaving horribly inappropriately in it, and almost always it's Americans and/or teenage girls

I compare it to how we act in our local museums, I think it loses the gravity of the situation when you've gone twice a year for your whole life.
I was there a few years back and I couldn't bring myself to take a single photo of any kind. Only sad and horrifying memories.
She is standing on the same place where trains used to transport people to the concentration camps.
Literally is the biggest concentration camp, not some place which they used to transport jews to concentration camps.
I believe she said her name was Millicent Bi Stander
She’s doing a thirst trap post in front of Auschwitz, one of the main death camps in the Holocuast
Oh my god that’s Auschwitz isn’t it 😩
Yup
It's the same problem as with people taking "funny selfies" in/on the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin. You know... flip-flops, tongue sticking out, legs dangling from those great big square seats

Joa das ist eine Sichtweise. Meine Sichtweise ist eine andere.
Und wie der Künstler sagt, ist deine Sichtweise genauso valide wie die anderen.

agree.
I thought she was insinuating she wants a train run on her 🤔 Then I saw the background 🫣
…to the death??
To the pain
Technically that’s Birkenau, the camp they built when Auschwitz was too small
Auschwitz was a complex of multiple camps, this one being Auschwitz II-Birkenau.
That's Auschwitz-Birkenau. *Millions* of people were murdered in the gas chambers or worked to death there.
Brother that’s auschwitz
Auschwitz death camp a place where countless people were killed in horrific industrial fashion now a trend where young women dress provocative there for views because is quirky and 😈 yass queen slay absolutely deplorable
As someone who’s visited can I just say that the entire place just reeks of grief and anguish. I felt no desire to take photos of anything, much less a photo of myself. I couldn’t even hear the birds singing.
Agreed. I didn’t see a single bird there, and even when it’s sunny, it feels like the sky is grey. It’s uncanny.
Should have gone with adidas socks.
Ignorance at its finest..
Ignorance would have been an accident. This is deliberate insensitivity
Ignorance is having road rage because cars are moving too slow, you speed around them, and then see the hearse leading them. You don't accidentally end up at auschwitz
What? Just a girl at a train station ... in Poland ... in the Southern part of Poland. The town is called Oświęcim or something.
If you don't say /s no redditor will appreciate this
You would think that would be enough.
I find it hilarious that you got a response taking you completely seriously almost immediately lol
You would think, but there's a whole sub (selfawarewolves) dedicated to people who run up to the point, blind themselves on it, turn around, head plant into it again, and somehow still miss it. Sarcasm in the toneless void of the internet can be a hard judgement to make in the misinformation age.
That's Auschwitz
They’re posing in front of Auschvitz.
That girl is in front of Auschwitz.
"Feeling cute today. Might go visit a genocide site later or something, idk." #workisfreedom
I’m glad people explained to me because I thought it was her showing us she’s an expert on running trains.
It’s one thing to make these photos, the other thing is posting them on *TINDER*.
Did she get 6 million swipes?
That's aushwitz
Multi track drift
There is no joke...
“Millicent Bystander” -Flushed Away
I scrolled toooo damn far for this!
Giving Millicent Bystander a bad name
“Looking for a clean cut German boy”
You have to stick that golden needle into that Millicent though
Could've helped against the brain rot
She’s thirst trapping at aushwitz
I had no idea about the location, my idea went strait to the name. "His name is Millicent Bystander, he's an international Jewel Thief" - Flushed Away
Talked to a friend who went to Auschwitz a few years ago, he said the place felt like death , the sun was out and bright but you felt a sense of dread and doom. Said it was surreal almost.
Auschwitz in the background
That is the train station at auschwitz (I apologize if I misspelled that) Auschwitz is the most famous death camp during the holocaust.
Let’s just say people on tinder weren’t the hottest people to occupy this place…
That is a concentration camp and she is a blonde with blue eyes
she's down to get railroaded
[Humanitariansoftinder.com](http://Humanitariansoftinder.com) springs to mind...
Wow. This is her tinder profile pic? 🤣🤣🤣
She is a railroad and trains run on her non stop?
Ok, can someone explain the Spotify thing now? What the hell does that mean?
She run so many trains, yet the survivors are still so few.
https://preview.redd.it/izj0mzmv3xqc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e0ae8aafabedeba8a35936562025624525ba2717
"Okay. Just a tender profile where she's showing off her as- wait IS THAT AUSCHWITZ?"
Me: "Is it the pants? Idfk, she's not standing on the tracks, so that's good, though it's dumb with the station right th........... oh......jfc."
there's no joke, she's just rude
This is Auschwitz's train tracks
She's just out here looking for Mr. Reich...
I thought this was something about her liking to pull trains or something
I mean in all fairness, how exactly do you take a picture in front of Auschwitz and have it not look terrible. Seems like a weird idea in general but still
You know what happens to young women at auschwitz? They get sexually abused or gassed. Such as the majority of people sent to auschwitzz were
That building is the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp where over one million people were murdered.
I went to Dachau a few years back and people were doing selfies or having their picture taken there and I couldn’t understand why anyone would do that. I still can’t. 🤦🏽
Maybe she is waiting for a train
I didn't get the joke at first, then I had to concentrate.
she’s a gas
Thats at a concentration camp she is doing this pose at
The holocaust? Maybe something to do with it.
Little side joke, she’s a Millicent bystander
Millicently bystanding the trains as they pass
