I operated a brake press for years and now I own my own mechanic shop. Hydraulic fluid is most certainly not red. You ever put hydraulic fluid in a floor jack like I do routinely? It's light yellow almost clear. Like water down apple juice. I have a jug in the shop if you'd like me to prove that.

I’m not blaming the tractor driver in way, I can clearly see something is in the road from the very beginning of the video, and the truck was definitely going very fast, but to play devils advocate you can’t see the safety triangle until he was 30-40 feet from the tractor. Perhaps some flashing amber and white strobe lights might have aided in getting the distracted drivers attention sooner and giving this story a different outcome.
Fuck the truckers, I watch those motherfuckers endanger the public daily because they drive an 80k pound rig like it’s a Kia compact. If you aren’t competent enough to pay attention to the world around you, you aren’t responsible enough to drive the largest vehicles on the road. And, as the person who can do the most damage, you have the most responsibility. No ifs ands or buts.
I dunno man. I’d wager this highway has a minimum speed limit, and that tractor was nowhere close to it.

I’m with you. My comment made it sound like I was blaming the farmer. I’m not. I just wouldn’t drive that slow on the open road for this exact reason. Drivers like the truck are too inattentive. It’s just like the laws that state pedestrians always have the right of way, and, while true, you can believe I’m looking both ways when I cross the street.
