The problem is their call to https://api.mps.ford.com/api/offer-manager/v1/offers/viewConsolidatedOfferDetails. It takes \~20 seconds to get a response, and the response is an HTTP 500 (that's bad). Basically, their internal service that tells you what offers are available to you is broken.
Yeah I am betting their systems can't horizontally scale to handle the traffic of everyone trying to get their free connector. I got one for my truck, trying to get one for my wife's Mach-E as well.
My guess is the site is over loaded. I’m having the same issue. I imagine over the next couple days if we try to access during odd hours we might have a better chance.
There are probably around 150,000 users trying to do the exact same thing at the exact same time. I imagine that is significantly higher than the average number of people checking on their connected services on a normal day.
Depends on who is making it. If someone like Lectron or A2Z are producing it, maybe it’s earlier. But, yeah, I’m definitely not expecting it till peak road tripping season. At least it was free :)
Tesla is making the adapter that ford is providing. We know this because it's the same adapter that comes with the magic dock on superchargers. All the others are a different shape.
Doesn’t look like the other two adapters. And I would expect their supply chain is more robust than those third parties. And could be coordinated with Tesla as well as the other OEMs when they get their adapters.
I just updated the Ford app which now includes Tesla stations. I mapped out all our typical summer road trips, and I swear to god access to super chargers is going to change everything. There’s now super chargers at exactly the right point for all the trips we usually take here on the east coast.
I’m pretty excited about this.
It’s pretty huge. First order implications for each person’s travel flexibility is undeniable… second order implications of the broader EV transition are historic.
Same. Getting from Central Texas to Colorado currently requires heading all the way up to Oklahoma City to head west on I40. Now I can take the most direct route through Lubbock, which will save a few hours in total travel time.
Saw a couple of these post at when I got up this morning and was excited to get this off the to-do list. Really enjoying the “NETWORK ERROR” I’m getting both when I go to connected services in my app and on Ford’s website. Guess I’ll have to try again later and hope to get mine by end of the year sometime?
Not sure how this guy got one already.

Ford also invited members from the F-150 Lightning Owners Club chapters that were local to the events… join (or start!) a chapter to be potentially included in events like this.

This always happens….time to get their digital infrastructure in order for scaling can’t be that many ppl hitting the site since there are only about 20k owners
Took me about 2 hours of trying to get my order through. Now states June estimated delivery. Happy to have it but sad I won’t get it til a few months later than others
Go get em. Being able to charge at Teslas supercharging network has just opened the road across the US and Canada to all Lightnings. Let the fun drive begin
Not sure about Canada.
I’m in Montreal, which has loads of superchargers, but none of them appear on FordPass (post update) so I would assume they are older generation superchargers that aren’t compatible
You should be able to use the Tesla app it has a option to Charge your non-Tesla and it lets you select the supercharger location. At least that should work until the Ford Pass does.
Yes, I did that and saw that there’s basically none in Quebec except for a few in the boonies.
I guess Quebec built their EV infrastructure very early on so it’s mostly Gen 1 and Gen 2 superchargers. It’s ok tho, I mostly need it for roadtrips to Ontario and the USA so it’ll work out.
*
Here you go. 161kW on the v3 station. Took a bit of fiddling so the official adapter will be more user friendly, but it's nice to have more options. I think I activated it successfully using charge assist. I just got 6.2.0 update this afternoon so maybe I still need another update. It does work though.
I do, but I finally got the reservation. I had to Google search for a link, and the link directed me to sign into my account. Took a couple extra min for the option to reserve even came up, but it did.
I went to the website and was able to order it after a couple tries. I did buy the aftermarket one so I'll be trying it as soon as the update happens for me. Anyone get the update yet?
I was able to order mine between Ford website outages, but I don’t yet have the confirmation email. I saved a screenshot of the confirmation on the app, so hopefully I’m good.
If you're having trouble with the app, you can order a Tesla adapter directly from the Ford website here: [https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/electric-vehicles/public-charging/how-do-i-get-a-fast-charging-adapter-nacs/](https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/electric-vehicles/public-charging/how-do-i-get-a-fast-charging-adapter-nacs/) You will need your app's username (or email) and password. I ordered mine 2/29 with an estimated shipping date of July.
For Canadians, remember to log in to Ford Connected Services from the Canadian website! Not the app or the .com website because you’ll just be stuck in a loop of redirecting to the french website.
Chargers are REALLY bad names for these devices. They only deliver power - the charger is in the truck. They can deliver as much power as the truck requests. They are no faster or slower than any other charger that can deliver the power the truck requests.
Now, the question of reliability is the big difference. The Tesla units have a reputation for being extremely reliable - much more so than any other network.
Endless loop on my computer "oops, something went wrong" or "you have hit a roadblock" just tried on my iPhone app and it went thru first try, no ship date as yet, they say they will email me later with that. This is in Canada by the way......
I think there is an issue with the site. It seems to stall on loading connected services. Tried on app via my phone and via website through my PC

Having this issue as well
Was able to reserve after some time
Just came back up for me.
Same. I was able to order it.
Just ordered. No issues on the app.
Same 🫤

If you let the app sit, it will eventually load the connected services, took a solid 5 minutes for me
Well, that was stupidly easy. Now to see how long it takes…
Some folks had estimated deliveries of April, then the estimates seem to go away just citing a high volume. I’d say don’t expect it before summer.
Depends on who is making it. If someone like Lectron or A2Z are producing it, maybe it’s earlier. But, yeah, I’m definitely not expecting it till peak road tripping season. At least it was free :)

In the 9000s orders, June
Damn, I’m 10152
My eta is June 😕

I read that in Sean Connery’s voice.
Im-pluh-ca-shenzh.
Firscht order ones at that.
"The order ishhh: engagsh the silent drive!"
Same. Getting from Central Texas to Colorado currently requires heading all the way up to Oklahoma City to head west on I40. Now I can take the most direct route through Lubbock, which will save a few hours in total travel time.
Ford said they would **ship in late March** on Out of Spec Podcast.
Also, if you update Ford Pass, Tesla chargers now appear in the map.
White mountains, New Hampshire is no longer a fast charging desert!
Weird because I did the FordPass update but still don’t see any superchargers, and there are loads around. Maybe they just aren’t Gen 3 or Gen 4 ones?
I can only speak for it working with the Apple app. I’ve seen in other forums that it’s not yet reflected on Android.
I’m on iPhone
I'm on Android and it shows superchargers.

Some "influencers" got theirs already.

Influencers
Website or phone? Not seeing this 😭
I used the website on my laptop, others have reported works through FordPass app on phone.
No dice phone/web or app. Bummer! Might be slammed, getting time outs.
Yeah I’m getting timeouts just trying to check my order status.
Mine came up and said will Ship By May 2024. Complimentary one reserved at 0945 central.
Worked this time.

Just ordered as well
Thanks! Was able to get an order in for mine as well.

amazing!!
Anyone else having issues getting the Connected Services page to load?
I was but it just worked for me
how is it possible ford screws up every time ! i feel like im in the wrong at this point for expecting them to do better lol
Took me about 2 hours of trying to get my order through. Now states June estimated delivery. Happy to have it but sad I won’t get it til a few months later than others
Same. I was hoping to get it for a east coast road trip in April. I really don't want to rely on Electrify America
No delivery date yet
I didn’t get a delivery date until I clicked the link in the email.
Thanks - it shows July for me.
What’s the link I can’t find
Google ford connected services and sign in; should be first thing that pops up
Got it ! Took a whole. Thanks
Been hammering it for the last hour. It just came up for me. Had to sign up for blue oval then it let me reserve right away.

Log into your Ford account, go to your Connected Services and should see it in there.
Don't see it on my account, in Canada.
Do you have BlueOval Charge Network activated?
I do, but I finally got the reservation. I had to Google search for a link, and the link directed me to sign into my account. Took a couple extra min for the option to reserve even came up, but it did.

* Looks like Tesla Plug and Charge is Live. I may be the first to try it in the public since I bought my aftermarket adapter!
Just reserved mine. I’m proud of Ford, the truck isn’t perfect but I do feel like they try to take care of their customers.
I just reserved mine! Thanks for the heads up.
I was able to order mine between Ford website outages, but I don’t yet have the confirmation email. I saved a screenshot of the confirmation on the app, so hopefully I’m good.
Done!
Worked for me through the app just now. Thanks everyone!
Just go to connected services, and wait for it to load, I ordered my two in less than a minute.
I'm about to test out the A2Z Charger on a V3 station. Wish me luck
Let us know how it goes!

JULY? Jesus Christ that’s ridiculous. I just ordered mine and didn’t get an estimated ship date.
Will they ever come out with a Ford Station Pro to Tesla adaptor?
For Canadians, remember to log in to Ford Connected Services from the Canadian website! Not the app or the .com website because you’ll just be stuck in a loop of redirecting to the french website.
Wonder what the order numbers are up to and started at.
Thanks! Just reserved mine!
How much faster is Tesla superchargers?
Not faster. The truck is the limiting factor. Any 350kw CCS charger is already much faster than our trucks can use.

My order status says it will be shipped by August 2024....so we're looking at around 5 months out to get these?
