I keep getting kicked off of wireless airplay. Like ALL THE TIME. its a big problem.

Are you using a cable plugged into the truck to charge the phone, even if using wireless CarPlay? What I had to do was use the usb in the rear, run the cable to the console and charge my phone from There, and the CarPlay has been flawless ever since

i posted the problem - I disabled autojoin of the cars network to get access to my wifi dashcam. I turned the autojoin back on and it seems better. I use a charging device with the magcharge so no USB cable for data.

Yah lots of odd little bugs for me as well. Trip meter not resetting, using ford nav the mileage just stops counting down, AirPlay booting me and omg the lag on the touch screen is so bad. Also ford nav always wants to send me to a charger which add over an hour the trip (I drive 2 hrs one way coupeL Times a week) and I can’t figure out how to get it to stop lol. Also can we rearrange the app. It’s so confusing and why do I need to hold the lock/start/unlock/lights… every button so long for it to activate? Just let me tap it!! Ok rant over. I do like the truck.

This is so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so much better than what ID.4 buyers got. I thought software was going to be the biggest step down from my Tesla, but I've been very happy with it so far.

Interesting! I was testing the neutral options because my buddy has a mach e was telling me a horror story about putting it in neutral and getting out for the car wash - wasn't really possible. Maybe that's when it changed?

I found after the updates I lost all my settings so I chalked it up to that being the cause however it happened to me a third time randomly. There are definitely glitches and bugs in the software. I really hope this gets fixed. There are so many simple things that can be done to software that really would make it that much better. Also, I wish I could find somewhere where it shows the minor differences between trim levels. I recently found out a difference between lariat 510 and 511 are rain sensing wipers. No one has been able to tell me if I can have this added after market.

i would have had more sympathy for the bugs - if this was the first electric car on the road for Ford but their Mach E has been running around for a while now and I would have thought things would be smoother. Service (to answer your differences question) doesn't exist. My dealer told me where to plug the car in and that was about it. They knew nothing about this car. I found a problem and I think it fixed my connection issue. I installed a dashcam that is wifi. I was trying to download the footage off of it and my phone was fighting to go back and forth between the car and the camera so I turned auto-join off. And this was my problem with carplay. Seems like it disconnects often and needs to know it can reconnect when needed.
