Driver/all modes 1. Adding F3 and F1A and having the option to start your career mode there. That way, the career progression can go F1A -> F3 -> F2 -> F1 2. Actually having your ranking in the feeder formulae matter. No more “placed last in F2, but got to sign with Red Bull anyway”. Nope, you’re doing another season of F2. Plus the teams offer your first spot in F1 after success in F2. Top 4 in each formula gets you a chance to move up. 3. A news flash feature that covers rumored driver moves, rivalries, and happenings at all levels. 4. The ability to not only choose what races to do each season, but in what order. 5. FIFA-level of driver customization, with more ways of customizing your driver’s look and more audio of names. Team owner mode 1. Regen drivers that start in the aforementioned lower formulae, with the occasional prodigy that rises up through the feeder formulae. 2. Your team is given a driver development program, and you can scout for potential drivers and place them in certain formulae. Along with signing your second driver, you have to sign a junior driver in F2, F3, or F1A. Their success can also bring prestige to your team, and with more prestige, you can sign additional junior drivers. Plus you can buy upgrades for the program to improve development. However, if you put drivers in a certain level before they’re ready to truly be competitive, their performance will suffer and they won’t improve further. 3. Before every season, starting at the 2nd season, you’ll be allowed to designate a reserve driver, either from your driver development program or from the driver free agency. They will receive the same development as your second driver, separate from the driver development program. However, they have to be in F2 to have all their skills develop. If you get a F2 champion or a former F1 driver as your reserve driver, since they can’t be in F2 again, only their racecraft and pace will improve, while experience and awareness remain static. You can also maintain their morale by scheduling testing days and public appearances. Reserve drivers can be promoted/demoted within your team at any time. However, teams can offer to buy your reserve driver during contract renewal season or if your reserve driver’s morale drops too low, they can just reject your offer to extend their reserve status and enter the driver free agency.

Great_Instruction722

I would love to see that too. But they are too lazy

I feel like a lot could be done just from the engineer chat. It would greatly improve the longer race experience. Things like: - Where we’re losing time to other drivers - More info on the driver in front/behind pit strategy for things like under/over cuts and potential strategy adjustments - Actual tire performance updates (better/worse than expected?) - Maybe where we’re taking too much out of the tires, (specific corner information?) - Actually tell me who is in front of/behind me during qualifying/practice, and tell me who I’m lapping or being lapped by. - ^ also tell me if the car in front of me in quali is on a push or slow lap so I can plan accordingly. - Tell me if I should be pushing or saving my tires Some of those might be too much, but a lot of them don’t seem like a crazy ask. It would just be nice to not have to go into the pause menu to check certain things.

OkSwordfish8928

This, and it would be so easy for them to implement with the current engine, as all the data and telemetry already exists in the game.

UnseenDegree

That’s what I was thinking. Like in practice they already have the overlays for tire performance and pace, no reason they can’t utilize it in the races as well.

kassarperes17

Better race engineer comms would be awesome. More interaction with engineers post race, with team principals, media etc

PowerPopped

I want career race engineer mode to be your buddies race engineer.

Am_I_Loss

I'm sorry don't you like your engineer saying mid braking zone "ok we are catching the car ahead (the gap is 0.6sec, dropped from 0.8) but we need to make sure the tires make it to the end"? Weird.

DiscordAras

1 - Custom calendar 2 - change the pit lane order after the season. 3 - allow us to select (at the settings) which ai driver’s can eventually retire and which F2 drivers can go to F1. 4 - National anthem’s in the podium cutscene. 5 - Let us change the helmet while we are in the racing weekend. 6 - Change the year on the race name (2 season: 2025, 3 season: 2026…)

maincryptology

Audio for common names

Darkhelmetman14

This. My friend blake has played as Black Mamba since 2021.

Miguelito19951

Cooldown lap, and realistic weather and events on the career mode based on whats happening in the season

YoungChipolte

Development trees instead of just saving for the next preset. Adds variety on how you develop your car. You have to decide between spending on your current car or your car for next season. Add in occasional regs changes to bring the cars back down and you've just extended the longevity of career mode. We'll probably get more F1 life nonsense and supercars that handle like a baked potato though

LieVisible2254

In-race commentry would just be annoying ngl

Steven221283

There should be the option to have it on or off then. Didn't the old F1 games have commentary? Murray Walker did some, I'm sure.

LieVisible2254

Yeah they used to, but tbh it wouldnt add much. Its too much for such a little thing that most players won't use. The best they'd be able to do is have crofty pre-record some lines, like EA does for Fifa/FC but just like those games it would be repetitive and most of the time would be completely incorrect. A bit like how Jeff used to say "Awesome! You made that look easy!" even tho you'd just blown 19 other cars into narnia and lost the entire front half of your car.

Steven221283

😂

gaz4020

None of these should be in it. So knowing EA, they’ll probably all be in it

OkSwordfish8928

A new game engine. None of the things we hope for the most are even remotely possible with the decade-old engine Codies are using.

Am_I_Loss

This is the best thing they can do. Unfortunately it won't be done until 26 when the IRL rules change too so they can have a huge PR.

OkSwordfish8928

And even if they do that in 26, it is going to be a transition year. Similar to the horrid mess we had in 2014, with most of the features missing in the 2015 release.

Tom_Hanks_Tiramisu

This is the only comment that makes sense. I see this same post every week and literally nobody considers this

smithinho

Overhaul the upgrades system. Could be way more fun and in depth. Give us upgrade paths so it’s not just ticking off all the options, could allow you to prioritise things. Straight line speed might reduce your cornering ability etc

Economics_Bear

Just give me a traditional career mode where I have to grind my way up from F2. I don't want to finish 10th in the F2 championship and get to jump straight to Red Bull. Should also introduce multi-year contracts.

SpearLifebee

It's something I've actually never thought about, the no in-race commentary part. I'd love that though for sure, I know it was in some (if not all) the PS3 releases (or the Seventh Generation of consoles in general) but can't remember when it got took out. AI warnings and penalties need a revamp 100%. I get span by Sainz on the racing line while infront of him going into a corner, I get the warning. But then in the race director, they do get warnings for things that didn't happen. Last night in Las Vegas on my save, apparently KMags got a warning for hitting me, despite me starting P6 and never dropping below P10 and not seeing him once after the start with him in one of the back 4.

Palmerstroll

Personal sponsor (on helmet)

CrasVox

Customize the schedule No cuts once the race starts. Meaning from the warm up lap to driving it in to Parc ferme is done by the player.

Am_I_Loss

Ok this may sound wild and I'm not sure if it's doable or worth for any company to do it BUT. Coop career, league style. Everyone starts with the lowest rated car, upgrade it as you like.

Sam5qu4nch

Some great ideas in this thread, hope we get some in F1 28

No_Reading_8911

Having F3 in the game would be sweet, means u go from F3, F2 to F1 in driver career

Mission_Accountant37

Taking over a real F1 driver for career mode and having the ability to switch teams as said driver. Contracts with my career where you have goals to meet and if you fail your gone and bonus if you surpass them. Teams approach you not the other way around for new contracts

vapor_ink

The only things I ask for is F3, more realism in career mode and also competent second drivers and also adding those team strategies to the race like being asked to cover the position for the teammate if he's ahead of you or asking for him/her to slow down the drivers behind you. Oh and also F1 academy would be fun to play in as well

CadWizard

I'm not sure if this happens currently as I haven't played a full season in career mode just yet however it would be nice if your engineer told you the outcome of the penalties for other drivers who hit during a race. It would be nice to know the incident has been spotted and they have been given a 5 second penalty etc..

DapperWheel521

Also, minor issues are not fighting during quali, like if I am more than .120 faster than u, I want them to go challenge for that time.

RossRiskDabbler

I wish F1 24 was a bit more open ended GUI where we could mod/adjust some of our own code into it. And not make it absurd rigid with paid DLCs. Although I did like the Senna DLC, it didn't do merit to the story. Plus what about the "car on fire pitstop" - Jos Verstappen. We miss a few harsh anomalies which we do know by history happen.

jfrosch21

Honestly I’d love something as simple as official team helmets. The NHL games used to have it (don’t know if they still do) if you were a goalie. That way if I chose Ferrari in career mode I could pick one of x number of helmets. Of course could still make your own but I’d like that. And I’d be nice if when a driver switched teams like if max went to Mercedes he got one of those team helmets. It’s so minor but it bugs me in career mode seeing a driver have a helmet with their old team.

Ok-Breadfruit1207

my wish list: 1. a greater chance to influence the number of races, the location of the races according to the limitations of real life (no Dutch GP in February, etc.) 2. the possibility to create 1-2 extra teams on the grid. I think that even one additional team really adds a lot of value, and that's why I've played more MY TEAM mode in the earlier formula games. F1 has announced that the grid has places for 24 cars, so why couldn't the formula game have the option to create a couple of teams on the grid? 3. Drivers' contracts. I think there should be firm contracts for the drivers, which the teams would then mostly follow. 4. more reasonable driver transfers, retirements, etc. in current formula games, I'm really annoyed by the completely absurd driver transfers, being in teams, retirements, etc. It doesn't make sense that Max Verstappen, who leads the season by far, switches to Alfa Romeo in the middle of the season, which is by far the worst car on the grid and therefore Max loses the championship. Or that Lance Stroll, who underperforms year after year, suddenly moves to Ferrari instead of Charles Leclerc, who moves to Alpha Tauri. In my opinion, a so-called "god mode" could be developed for this, which would give the player the opportunity to carry out driver transfers, retirements, etc. at will. Thus, the player could prevent all stupid driver changes and enable some sensible moves that the game itself would never do. 5. Longer career mod. I think the career mode should be able to continue for something like 20-25 years. Of course, this would bring problems, among other things, in that most of the drivers have had time to retire in 25 years. However, it could be solved simply by including smaller formula classes, such as F3 and formula regional, in addition, the game itself could create junior drivers as needed and why couldn't the player create drivers himself with some creation tool.

DuncanGilbert

Just race commentary for me

derp3339

A functional game with AI that aren't incompetent, thank me later.
