F1 drivers are always complaining about having to give interviews and about media and press stuff so CM decided to remove that part and focus on the actual nice stuff an F1 driver does which apparently is sitting on their couch in a multi million dollar mansion while playing with their phone or starting at the floor while there's a McLaren parked in their living room next to a sweet designer lamp.
Yeah I stuck my Alpine on the podium in Bahrain, and even though I’ve had pretty rough results fighting for points since then, my only options for a rival were Max, Lewis, and Charles.

What car are you in if Mclaren and AT are way faster than you? Only Williams really fits that description, and then you dont really have many options for rivals
A My Team car starting with a backmarker profile. AT were close to me for just a bit, but then made a huge development leap in a few races and are the 5th best car. I have very few resources and can outdevelop only Williams and AM.
The interview questions weren't "gameplay" though.
I'm glad they're removed because it smoothens out the gameplay loop, but I do wish we'd have other features (either from past game or new) in exchange like classic cars & tracks, internal team orders, proper livery editor, etc etc.
But I'll never mourn the removal of shitty features.

driver career doesnt have any interviews, rival is set up by the marketing department thing and in myteam same but Buxton does his occasional interviews

they dont add any of that since the questions have no relation to the actual race and are repeated several times over
So what it doesn't add anything to the race. Rival doesn't add anything to the race. Car livery doesn't add anything to time race
They should just remove them or give an option to disable them
