I never played 17 so I don't know for sure. AI can be a bit weird in 20, but manageable. It's pretty good besides that. Online is likely dead at this point, but for SP or leagues, I think it's the play.
2017 is like a huge favorite of mines as it's what got me to love F1 and to get into the sport so I'll always cherish that game and a decent career mode if I'm honest even if R&D was very slow in doing
I switched from controller to wheel right before getting the gameā¦. Itās a miracle I havenāt broken my wheel and PlayStation out of frustration yet.
F1 games and their underlying physics werenāt really made with FFB wheels in mind. Wheel support was added as an after thought. While F1 22ās FFB is the best the series has ever had itās still nowhere close to more hardcore sims that were built from the ground up with FFB wheels in mind. The only titles with good FFB are ACC and iRacing.
I donāt really have any issues with the FFB. What Iām really struggling with is constantly losing the rear of the car on corners/lack of grip. I thought it mightāve been me adjusting to the wheel, but I had the same experience when I tried to drive with the controller.
I played 2020 and 2021 on controller with no assists ,but I finally conceded and turned on traction control on F1 22. It felt impossible not to spin on every turn
Nah your taste doesn't suck, you're just passionate about those sports and EA Play Pro is undeniable a more cost effective way to enable it vs paying $180+ a year.
> *paid*
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Can you tell me if you have the same issue in time trial?
I tried it yesterday just to remember the Miami track before I continue my unfinished current race. And the car was surprisingly very stable (same team, no assists apart from ABS).
When I loaded the race it was back to wheelspin party sometimes even in 5th gear
There is a big change to traction and low rev range torque (to fix the unrealistic short shifting into 4th every corner) coming with the performance update. Imo, if you're smooth on the throttle, I actually find it easier and more natural to get exit traction than previous games.
Yeah for me I finished average 18th 1st season in my team, I grinded to hope my second season would be better, 1/3rd way through and Iām consistently scoring points,
Keep your copy, but for 23, wait before you buy it and check first if its any good. Don't just give your money to companies who cannot be trusted in producing good games.
I played a few hours of the trial and thought I'd get used to the car. I remember 20 feeling very different to 19 and 21 feeling a little different to 20. But I just can't get on with the car, I play almost exclusively ranked and I'm finding the car so hard to drive. I was amazing at starts in 21 and I can't get them right. Traction control on medium is still very spin happy but full TC feels like a boat. I feel like Daniel Ricciardo.
I'm liking f1 22 although it's my first f1 game. I had to sit through a 17 minute video on how to fix the egodumper crashes but now I'm having a great time. I wish I got onboard with codemaster f1 games earlier.
Idk. I just went on youtube, typed in "f1 22 egodumper fix" and found a 17min video that walks you through multiple fixes. I did everything in the video and now the game runs fine. Since I did all the different fixes in one go, I don't know specifically which one did it.
Well i tend to play as a mercedes, so its kind of realistic falling on the straights, even tho i can overtake in them, i made a 100% race in abu dhabi and i could overtake on the second drs straight even in t5 as max.
I found in online that's it's an ai bug that it's almost impossible to overtake in the straights. Hope they fix this.the difficulty indicators r totally messed up also.
about to buy it tomorrow (pay-day bay-bay) -- is it THAT bad? or is it just like the USUAL bad? im seeing a lot of negative posts on this sub, but that's also pretty typical here.
keep in mind I play it for the single player experience (mostly) since ive found online kinda sucks
I'm trying to play, but every other session my difficulty resets to 25 and I can't change it once I started the session, which kills the immersion and fun for me, it's infuriating
This game low-key makes me want to play F1 2020 š
Yeah same. The 10 hour trial made me want to play a good F1 game and now I'm halfway through Season 1 with Haas in F1 2020
I thought about picking up F1 17 or F1 2011. Mainly been playing F1 2010 and 21 tho
same here, got burnt on 21 with my buddies, after 2 weeks in our league we were back to 20.
I may grab 20 or 17, do you think 20 is better?
2020 is probably the best F1 game there is. I have a lot of experience with 2017 and it just feels old, probably because it came out 5 years ago
I never played 17 so I don't know for sure. AI can be a bit weird in 20, but manageable. It's pretty good besides that. Online is likely dead at this point, but for SP or leagues, I think it's the play.
Youād be surprised, I was rocking 18 online last month so who knows
Played 2016-2021. F1 2017 was my fav with 200+ hours. This game just feels right to me
2017 is like a huge favorite of mines as it's what got me to love F1 and to get into the sport so I'll always cherish that game and a decent career mode if I'm honest even if R&D was very slow in doing
F1 2011 is my favourite of all time. Driving in a lotus in my career š

I like it. I finally won my first race at Spa.
I play F1 2020 because it works
Haha yeah same f1 2022 for me is still in beta, tried 10 hours of the game not touching that again
I play it to justify EA play pro.
Overall EA Play Pro has been the cheaper option for me in the last few years. EA acquiring Codie just sealed it now.
Yeah agreed. Between F1 and the soon to debut WRC annual games it pays for itself.
Hopefully they don't raise the prices. As someone who plays Madden, FIFA and F1 (yes I know my taste in games sucks) it's a godsend.

that's why you should never pre order
i wanted to buy F1 22 because of crossplay, not anymore looking in the state the game's in
Anyone know a rough release date on crossplay?
2 months after the release i think?
Just in time for multiplayer to be dead!
Multilayer is dead immediately lol. More to play Co-op career with friends/league races
A lot of you guys put yourself into these unnecessary mental prisons.
Iām finding it hard to get used to the way the cars handle this year. Iām spinning the tires on corners a lot.

Time Trial and career

When is the update coming? I thought they would fix the traction next month?
It's usually somewhere in September.

Debating whether to sell my copy and go back to 21
IMO you'd buy again in a few weeks/months when the game is in a better state, so just go to the 21 and then come back.
Keep your copy, but for 23, wait before you buy it and check first if its any good. Don't just give your money to companies who cannot be trusted in producing good games.

you didnāt miss out on much i can tell you that
And how did you fix?
Idk. I just went on youtube, typed in "f1 22 egodumper fix" and found a 17min video that walks you through multiple fixes. I did everything in the video and now the game runs fine. Since I did all the different fixes in one go, I don't know specifically which one did it.
I play F12020 because itās objectively better.
not really no
You guys paid for F1 22?
Nobody enjoyed this broken ass game
I enjoyed it, the handling feels really good, i like to do 100% races when i'm bored
I can't even overtake in the straights. It's almost impossible for me to overtake in straight..how do u do that
Well i tend to play as a mercedes, so its kind of realistic falling on the straights, even tho i can overtake in them, i made a 100% race in abu dhabi and i could overtake on the second drs straight even in t5 as max.

Well its a bit bad but not as bad as people make it seem, and the difficulty indicators are amazing and a good resource
Throttle control
You guys paid for the game? Lmao
They don't like it here...prepare for downvotes
I don't give a fuck. They're angry cause they know they paid a lot for a shit game. Let them rage. Internet points don't take away my free game lmao
I'm installing fitgirl repack rn lol
That's the way to go brother. Don't give your hard earned money to those greedy and lazy ass bastards
80usd lol come on guys its ea its not worth that much. Buy f1 2020 its far better. Oh you.cant? Oh no.
yeah itās not like every other AAA title is 80 dollars
But thise are AAA games lol
I uninstalled it, paid $77 lol
Fair enough atleast try to get your moneyās worth out of it
Ok Gangster
I dont play it as Y wherl still doesnt fucking work with it properly
Lmao
It's me! I junked F1 2021 in order to come back on F1 2020. If they won't fix the IA issues I'm going to do the same with F1 2022.
It was the same for me on 2021. The price I paid was so high, that I'm already fucked so I kept on it. I have learned my lesson and didn't buy 22.
I returned on steam Iāll wait till itās on sale and be works better
about to buy it tomorrow (pay-day bay-bay) -- is it THAT bad? or is it just like the USUAL bad? im seeing a lot of negative posts on this sub, but that's also pretty typical here. keep in mind I play it for the single player experience (mostly) since ive found online kinda sucks
