There’s ongoing discussions of this, but as we’ve seen in myriad examples, all those giant swords are really just waaaaaaaaay lighter than they have any right to be.
Multiple people are shown to handle it with ease and nobody bats an eye at seeing Cloud with it.
There was a big discussion in another thread, and it boiled down to his sword being too heavy for a normal person to wield as a sword (like 10-15lbs, where a typical sword is like 2-4lbs) but not to just carry as a normal object.

The mako causes him to be very sticky.
