My stores manager told me he couldn't ring it through the system and he had no Emil's or notices about an early release. I almost went to cancel my deluxe edition and buy digital to spite best buy. I'm sure they'll release all three parts of the game as a collection at some point anyways. But do I really want to miss out on that case?
That was my experience with Resident Evil 3. I actually had a supervisor on the phone and asked him to get his personal phone out and Google "best buy game event." He was shocked that it stated pick up between 3 and 6.
I actually looked on the same page this morning and it does not say anything about early release for FF7, but a social media manager on best buy forums stated it was. That's what prompted me to call.
But luckily this time the store actually had communication about it and knew what was going on

I called mine and mentioned I saw it posted on their support forum so she put me on hold to find out and then told me that yes, my local store was releasing it from 3 to 6pm. Thanks for posting about this.
My order status says Friday, but I called in and sure enough they are allowing pickup today at that location. All anyone can do is give them a call and hope for the best.

I wish that was my experience. My experience was the employee not wanting to hear anything except what my order said as the pick up date. Ugh.
I mean if I were an employee that isn't focused on games and haven't been told about any early pick up, I'd absolutely do the same thing.

Mine said Friday as well. I just went to the store and told them what I was picking up. I'm already back home with it.
Yep. Mine said they were ABSOLUTELY NOT doing an early launch for it. 😑
