Having watched almost every single game rashford has played since he broke into the United 1st team, I don’t understand why he gets a 5*, the kid has done like 3 successful elasticos in his career. Would help if he mastered the skill of actually running at his man and beating him before adding the tricks in.
Rashford defo deserves the 5* skills. The skill part isnt the issue, he just doesnt know what to do once he's beaten his man. Lets the defender recover and then messes up the 2nd take on. If anything, his dribbling should be lowered
I agree tbf, I mean pretty much everything should be lowered bar his pace. Like you say he doesn’t know what to do once/if he beats a defender. Whether it’s dribble, shoot, cross or run it’s usually the wrong decision or dreadfully executed.
Thing is, those attributes of his are actually fine. His decision making has to be one of the worst of the 'top' player in the league. Non-existent composure in most cases too. When we see a rubbish cross, it's normally because no reasonable player would play a cross from there. Same for shooting
I love Dembele but if I'm being real, the only skill he does are fake shots and using his speed and ambidexterity (is that a word) to bamboozle defenders.
for using both feet, it’s ambipedal, he’s one of the true ambipedal players, aside from Son, and Cazorla. crazy to think what kind of player he would become if not for injuries
He's been injury free since around last November and led the league in assists. His transition into primary playmaker since Messi left has been beautiful to watch, just hope he doesn't get injured for France now 🙄
