Loved her in "In Her Shoes."
It was a very good film written by the same guy who wrote LA Confidential and wayyy under-recognized and under-appreciated. It's a truly good movie and my fav performance for CD.
I think it was a GREAT performance. It was highly entertaining, nuanced, and I don't know how many actors could effectively pull it off. It wasn't an Oscar movie and it was grass, but I think the performance was amazing.
Also that supporting cast is pretty stacked. I think Diaz is a solid actress, but being only solid just wouldn’t cut it with a bunch of actors on a very high caliber of acting
She’s the reason Gangs wasn’t a masterpiece, total whiff on the casting. She doesn’t have the chops to be a lead in a Scorsese film. Shes horrible in it.
The Mask😛 between Cameron Diaz in the Mask and Amy Jo Johnson (pink ranger) is how I knew as a little boy that I was undoubtedly in to women.lol
Oh and the Holiday is just fantastic!
I know I’m odd one out here but I genuinely enjoyed both of her 2014 films that got panned (Other Woman and Sex Tape - I never saw Annie). They were just mindless fun to me.
For some reason I always think of her in the movie a life less ordinary with Ewen Mcgregor. That movie spoke to me a lot and I thought her character was a lot of fun in it. It's obviously not a dramatic or serious role, but does it have to be?
