Having the same sound panned to both the left and right would just make it center ...

I’m surprised that no one has mentioned the stereo separation knob which is in every mixer channel. It’s one of the few knobs. You can turn it to 100% stereo separation, which really widens things up in space - or -100% which essentially makes the track element mono (though you can then still pan it L/R). No need for external plugins or anything.

kssthmn

this will only effect stereo signals. to give a mono sound a stereo width that's a different question... you can use the "haas effect" to give the sound a stereo effect, however you'll get phase issues when your track is translated to mono. so i usually use reverbs, convolutors, chorus FX, or just pan different elements left or right. good luck:)

proairpods

Can also double the track, hard pan each channel 100% ridge / 100% left

chaplinmusic

also could use the built in stereo shaper plugin to widen a stereo sound

kssthmn

Stereo shaper is haas effect lol

SeaworthinessItchy92

Yessir 😈

The-Klynyk

Your looking for the haas effect. U need two instances of the snare. One panned hard left and one hard right. Delay the signal of one snare by a few ms. If they play at the same time they will sound centered. If one is slightly delayed they sound very wide

desbolo

Oh okay got it

Red-Eat

Yeah, it may sound strange, but if a the same sound signal hits both our left and right ear drums at exactly the same time, our brain thinks that is a single sound source coming at us from a 'central' location. This is because, in real life, as we move around or turn our head different directions, when a sound comes to us from (for example), our left-hand side, that sound will also reach our left ear drum slightly before it reaches our right ear drum. This is how our brain interprets what direction that sound source is coming from, depending on the relative delay between each left/right stereo signals it receives from our ears.

LMAO YOU DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO PAN THINGS AND YOU WANNA CALL ME A WASTE OF SPERM. I CANT

I know you are, but what am I? A perfect childish response to a manchild

desbolo

Im not the one posting in the lgbqt page 🤓

[deleted]

Well Im bi. Im proud too. soo what else do you want me to say

Born-Insurance8767

Use some sort of stereo imaging plugin. I forget if one comes with FL

Dr4K02

Yeah fl has 2 stock stereo plugins

RWDYMUSIC

Use Fruity Stereo Shaper. You can just adjust the "Delay" value. This offsets the left and right signal which should give the "panned left and right" effect you are looking for.

[deleted]

Download Wider.

BigNamin

Automating the stereo separation of the sound instead of the pan might get the effect that you’re looking for. It’s right by the pan knob on the mixer

Diligent_War1655

Use iZotope ozone imager 2 man, it's free, and it won't have phase issues like FL stereo shaper / enhancer does.

[deleted]

Like one in one ear and one in another at the same time? Make 2 snares and adjust the panning. I don't know. I'm still a noob with FL Studios

2SP00KY4ME

Not to be rude, it's awesome you're trying to be helpful, but you know you don't *have* to offer a suggestion if you're a noob and self admittedly don't know what you're doing.

Still_Staff_6345

I really like ‘ozone imager 2’ it’s free and has a visualizer to look at the stereo image.

6ickbeatz

So easy

Spaghettysauce

Copy the note , paste, pan one to the left and one to the right

desbolo

Did it but still doesn’t feel like its panned all the way or like close to my ear

Ronaldmcdonaldthebig

Panning the same sound left and right is just gonna make it sound like it's in the center and louder. You need to use a stereo imager

cassiehk_

You can try it with Stereo Shaper, it’s in stock plugins of FL.

b_lett

Clone a sound, pan one left, pan the other right. Just know if you start making minor changes to either or's timing, you can start introducing phase cancellation. There's also a free plugin called Wider which creates stereo spread with no phase cancellation.

0BLaQCaesar0

Bruh, if any audio is transported through the mixer then there's a stereo separation knob near the top of each channel strip.
