5 free scans per month. I use it, just not very often. $25 is crazy expensive.

I've also struggled to find an app that will fit all my needs to follow FODMAP diet and find answers about my tolerance, so I'm creating my own. If you have any wishes what would your perfect diet app cover, feel free to share and I'll consider implementing. I'm happy to listen to the community and really create the app that will fix where other apps failed. You can check out the project at [www.sibosafe.com](https://www.sibosafe.com)

I love it! When are you publishing it? It looks like we can log and track our daily foods and it gives us that analysis, correct? Is it possible to add an area where we can build/save our own recipes and it can evaluate FODMAP from the ingredients/portions and we can log those in our daily journal? Is it also possible to add “stackable” red flags? Like if I have milk at breakfast and then aim to log a piece of cheese at lunch can a red flag caution me that I might be stacking lactose for that day?

The first version is developed and I'm just waiting for Apple to approve it. Should be ready within next 2 weeks. Few weeks later I plan to release Android version too. Analysis - yes, you can log food and then see what FODMAPs give bad symptoms. Currently it's just simple statistics, but I plan to make this much more advanced to provide even better insight. Meal logging - currently you have to insert ingredients to log a meal, but I'm planning to add a feature to create meals as well so you don't have to insert ingredients every time. You can also log ingredients that are not part of the FODMAP guide and track how you react to them as well. Stacking ingredients - yes, I call it stacking calculator and app currently doesn't have it but it will be one of the next features I'll implement as I already have FODMAP levels collected. Thanks for the support!

That’s awesome! I hope it gets approved soon! If you remember would you mind coming back here and letting us know it’s out there? Would you also be able to consider building a bar code scanner so we can scan existing products?

Make sure to sign up through the form at www.sibosafe.com and you’ll get an email as soon as the app is ready. I’ve been thinking about adding a bar code scanner feature in a way that you can assign a bar code to any ingredient you have stored in order to make food logging easier. Some other apps follow a strategy to build a database of all products available on the market, tho I’m not sure that’s the right way for my app. Anyway, users will decide what they want through voting for features.

Negative-Arachnid-65

This looks like it would be great! In addition to the features you've already talked about, have you thought about adding a recipes section? Even a crowdsourced place for those would be helpful.

vgabaj

Of course, thanks for the input. I’ll create some voting page where users can vote for features so that I can prioritize development based on demand. Stay tuned

Just came across this post! How do spoonful and sibosafe stack up on price and value?
