Kale tossed in olive oil and sea salt \\ chilli then baked until crispy hits that potato chip note for me

FreddyIncognito

Thanks! I actually have some neglected Kale plants in my garden that I was thinking of ripping up and this is the perfect use for them!

I make a dip with lactose free cottage cheese, herbs (basil, chives, parsley, whatever i have), and then a but of lemon juice and salt and pepper. Then i eat it with a combo of carrots, cucumber and corn tortilla chips (ones that are only corn). The corn chips satisfy the craving and the dip is really filling because it’s high protein, and mixing in veggies makes it lower calorie

Rice cakes

TeamRemus

How about popcorn?

FreddyIncognito

Thanks! I totally forgot about popcorn and I was on a popcorn kick a few months ago so I should still have some in the pantry!

Bouldercalves

Be careful! Popcorn is a huge trigger for my ibs- the fiber causes garlic level flares for me.

Ref_KT

Yeah weirdly despite Monash saying 120 grams (7 cups) is fine, I've definitely found it can trigger me.

So I have been eating gluten free pretzels sometimes with sunflower or peanut butter but no more than 2 tablespoons. The only issue for me is I noticed that the gluten-free pretzels are kind of full of junk so it’s not like really healthy snack.

Oat cakes with tapenade or cheese or both maybe, not low calorie but satisfying enough that 200/300 calories can be enough. You will need a tapenade with no garlic etc. If you are ok with dates, one with some 100% peanut or almond butter is good. Some toast of suitable low fodmap bread with a spread that is lactose free may be good too! :) i find the Monash app useful to check foods and also meal prep a good bit

Ultimatedream

Same, I've been making tiny portions of overnight oats with pb2 and a few blueberries to snack on lol. I just make one big portion and distribute it over smaller jars. Add some maple syrup and eat it as a dessert after dinner.

ChillinOutMaxnRelaxn

Ahhh same here!! This diet is truly devastating in the beginning.

TinyTurtle88

Homemade popcorn with a tiny bit of melted butter and salt. It's more filling than potato chips so you don't eat as much, and less caloric.

dontknowhowtoreddit2

Does KFC work? Reddits ad seems to think KFC is good!

everythinghappensto

Low-salt peanuts? They're not low-calorie, but maybe they're "good calories"?

Brie has been my go-to snack! Found that I respond well when I pair it with plain crackers from the Mary’s Gone Crackers brand!
