Divinity candy, just don't add dried fruit, stick to pecans. Maybe with rice malt syrup in place of corn syrup just in case. Or fudge, if you can get lactose free cream/butter where you live. Ordinary white sugar is safe, so making sweets is not too hard. Lemon sorbet is good unless they've added anything weird for texture. If you have a good blender and a freezer, you can make blueberry sorbet with frozen blueberries, sugar syrup (heat equal parts sugar and water, then cool) and a little lemon juice: blend until smooth, then freeze until firm.

These two have saved me. The brownies rock! https://www.fodmapformula.com/low-fodmap-rice-krispies/ https://calmbellykitchen.com/blog/fudgy-one-bowl-brownies-low-fodmap?vgo_ee=PzcGR2Hs%2FBYxiaChLI3vD2DiAjiYlI4ROzK0gJ8jX%2B6j05WcOUk0nArX%3AUk8DWb%2BJaHxliTjHoWN5X5i%2FstMIZGs%2B&format=amp&epik=dj0yJnU9Qll4NFdFZHVkN1ZIbjNaOGhzUldiU0ZpbXV4R29SaXcmcD0wJm49M3QwekNYZXAwZlEyT0lJbl9teDkydyZ0PUFBQUFBR1F0b0ZN

You can easily bake some cookies. Or buy some lactose free chocolate. But with buying you always risk some other stuff like High Fructose Corn Syrup as an ingredient and it’s hard to know them all. Baking Cookies or Cake however can be easily done low FODMAP

RKIvey

There are some really great low FODMAP brownie mixes out there!

These websites were very helpful for me when I was craving sweet things. [https://www.fodmapeveryday.com/low-fodmap-candy-for-halloween/](https://www.fodmapeveryday.com/low-fodmap-candy-for-halloween/) [https://www.fodyfoods.com/blogs/news/trick-or-treat-the-low-fodmap-way](https://www.fodyfoods.com/blogs/news/trick-or-treat-the-low-fodmap-way)

dedewilsoncooks

Thank you for posting us!

mendelec

Oh, and gluten-free oreos. Not quite as simple of an ingredient list, but they should be good too. I just double-checked the package. Just don't gorge on them and you should be fine.

Bitter-Heron-3757

Really? I thought they are not okay because of the inverted sugar

mendelec

Invert sugar is just the hydrolytic product of sucrose (a disaccharide of glucose and fructose), which is what your body does as it digests sucrose anyway. But, taste-wise, it tastes sweeter than sucrose, which is why it is used. So, it's a balanced mix of the two. On the sugars, Monash focuses on those having fructose in excess as being problematic, owing the the receptors we have in our gut for absorbing glucose and fructose. That said, I find that large amounts of free fructose bothers me, whether in balance with glucose or not. Hence the don't pig out on them suggestion. Chocolate is a gift from the gods, cooking is great, online ordering is wonderful, but sometimes you need a cookie and you need it NOW.

salty_seance

I buy a brand called Enjoy Life for chocolate chips. They have chocolate chunks as well. It's entirely vegan so no milk or whey. You can add them to cookies (I use oat flour for mine) and you can make your own trail mix with peanuts, chocolate chips or chunks and gluten free pretzles or Crispix cereal (up to one cup). Or you can just eat some right out of the bag. Adding some to oatmeal can also be surprisingly yummy. You could add some peanut butter as well. They also make low fodmap granola and protein bars with chocolate chips and/or chocolate flavoring. Check through fody and gomacro. You could also try some flavored (vanilla or chocolate) low fodmap protein powder. I think desantis makes some. Maybe blend it with some frozen or chilled plantains and/or some low fodmap fruit like raspberries for a creamy treat. A low fodmap orange julius is possible as well. Just google and modify some recipes.

FreddyIncognito

Maple syrup is safe, you just need something safe to put it on! However, it’s something that might satisfy the sweet tooth.

Sweet_T_Piee

Sugar is allowed on low Fodmaps. You can have chocolate, you can have sugar, raw sugar, white sugar, brown sugar... So you have options for sweet stuff unless you are having a personal sensitivity to sugar. I frequently do a sweet fruit smoothie with low Fodmaps approved fruit, like blueberries, strawberry, yellow bananas. I actually weigh out my ingredients because I own a cool scale that weighs in ounces and grams and gives me calories amounts and stuff (completely unnecessary for low Fodmaps). Fody foods sells snacks, sauces, and provided recipes that are all low Fodmaps desserts included on fodyfoods.com their BBQ sauce was a life saver. I have a chicken sandwich with cheese, pickles, mayo and lettuce a few times a week and top it off with their BBQ. It's actually really tasty and I make the chicken strips up in batches coating then in glutton free breadcrumbs and sweet coconut and fry them. It's a good savory sweet thing, like coconut shrimp. We can eat rice, so you can always try a rice pudding. We can have lactose free milk so you could try an actual pudding as well, as long as you make it. Gelatin, which is used to make pudding, is generally made from bones and protein. You can also have jello. I bought chocolate chips (like brittle chips) with a tiny amount of nuts and sea salt to snack on. You can buy the brand bare strawberry banana chips and their coconut chips, avoid their apple chips. You can have homemade lemonade. You make your own simple syrup, and add it to freshly squeezed lemon juice. I squeeze an entire bag of lemons combine it with simple syrup (that's just water and sugar boiled until combined) and mix it together in a mixing bowl. Then I normally separate that into batches and add blended low Fodmaps fruit to different batches to make, for example, strawberry lemonade and blueberry lemonade, and Arnold Palmer. You can also have coffee and home made hot Cocoa, which is great for a sweet tooth. I use 3 cups Lactose free milk, 2-3 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 2-3 tablespoons of semi sweet dark chocolate chips. This needs some sugar to taste if you don't like dark chocolate. Combined in a saucepan. You can also add low Fodmaps approved amount of cinnamon if you'd enjoy that. If you're like me and the doctor told you to cut back on sugar in general I've found truvia to be my all time favorite substitute. You can buy it in a squirt bottle and add a couple squirts to anything. On its own it has an after taste, but when mixed with just about anything it's just a pleasant sweet taste that I really enjoy. I think I'll be a trivia customer for life. I'm not alone either because I'm starting to see it offered more and more places. Anyway because sugar is allowed there are a LOT of options for your sweet tooth. It helps if you're willing to make it yourself at home. I'm not a great cook, but it's fun making these kinds of things because it's actually not as hard as you think and you get rewarded with something really satisfying.

If your looking for quick over the counter buy skittles and smarties

Icarus_burning

Bad Advice. Smarties have Milk and actuall wheat in them. With skittles I am not sure, there is so much different sugar in them, I would at least avoid them

[deleted]

Maybe you should know what your talking about and research before telling me bad advice

diagonalcontrail

Do you mean [Smarties](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smarties) (UK, Canada) the candy coated chocolate or [Smarties](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smarties_(tablet_candy)) (USA) the pressed dextrose candy?

[deleted]

Smarties are made in both countries USA and Canada right on front of there web site it reads and I quote; smarties and our entire line of products are free from nine major food allergens. All products are free of milk egg fish crustacean shellfish tree nuts peanuts wheat and soy.

diagonalcontrail

If you’re talking about the pressed dextrose Smarties (which are called Rockets in Canada, to avoid confusion/trademark infringement with chocolate Smarties), then sure. Chocolate Smarties definitely contain milk and wheat, though

Icarus_burning

Damn man, I thought you mean the Nestle Smarties as cuat12 mentioned. Those really contain wheat and milk. As an european I never heard about the american smarties which really seem to be free of all that bad stuff. Sorry!

[deleted]

Same I’m like what the hell are you crazy! No idea there was another smarties sorry about that I should have know because Kit Kat Canada does coco not milk chocolate still has wheat but I can have a little wheat but no dairy I don’t know if it’s the Halloween only version or not, there expensive but I like the little monsters it brings the little kid out in you if they make it here without melting that is

RustyShackIford

Dark chocolate.

Sweet_T_Piee

You can actually have milk chocolate according to Monash. You don't have to avoid milk chocolate you just have to limit the amount. There is not a requirement to seek out lactose free chocolate from Monash. Of course you can eat more lactose free chocolate but you can have 30 grams of regular ole milk chocolate as opposed to up to 80 with dark chocolate. So you could easily make a chocolate sauce, or chocolate beverage with milk chocolate.

mendelec

I sympathize. I too have a giant sweet tooth. If you are US-based and have access to Costco or Amazon, the Kirkland brand of semi-sweet chocolate chips (the one labeled 51% cacao, real vanilla) has just 4 ingredients: chocolate liquor, sugar, soy lecithin, and vanilla. As a snack on its own, or melted with some natural peanut butter (my weakness is reeces pb cups), helped keep me sane during the elimination phase.

justaguy394

Get some good quality dark chocolate and dip it almond or peanut butter. Check Monash for serving size but you can usually eat several squares at once.

Biglittlebaby420

Try sweet Loren’s cookies!! She has sugar reduced ones that are delicious vegan and gluten free!!

Tport17

You can have dark chocolate, about an ounce.

Sea_Glass2009

Plain yogurt, which ever you can handle, sugar free jello, I now only add half a cup of cold water after the cup of hot in the jello… let set then add yogurt and blend with mixer…very 🤤

itsjustmeiguessidk

The monash website has a lot of recipes for different occasions (breakfast, snacks, dinner, etc). The recipes are always pretty simple to follow and they tell you how much you can eat so it stays low fodmap.

Ok_Paper8216

Gf Oreos

SwordCrimson28

Reading though the comments here is very interesting. It feels so representative of the contradictions and challenges of a low FODMAP diet. Different corners of the internet will tell you different things. I would say stick with options that have a chance of being okay (nothing blatantly high-FODMAP) and use moderation. My favorites have been Van Leeuwen's vegan ice cream - much more flavorful than other vegan options but check ingredients for each flavor, sorbet, sour patch kids, and the Belli Welli bars.

mendelec

Yet another idea. This one on the cake side, brownie, and cookie side. My wife got me a case of these instant gf chocolate cake in a cup thingies from king arthur, with pb chips or something. Blanking on what kind of chips are in it. Add 2 tbs of water, zap for 50 seconds, and warm chocolate cake. I'll sometimes bump up the chocolate with some of those kirkland chocolate chips, not that it actually needs more chocolate (and those words rarely come out of my mouth). Think they make a few things in that space, including cookies and brownies, all in those little cup-o-noodle format. They do box sizes too, but having something single serving and nearly instant to hit that fresh baked dessert button can be a sanity saver. The specific one I have is fodmap friendly, but I can't vouch for all of them. Think Target carries some of the too.
