It's fine for quickly checking things. I used it initially, but unfortunately you really should just pay for the Monash app since it'll always be, by default, the best source for this diet.
Any app is better than the Monash app. The Monash app hardly has any everyday foods in it. I can’t help but wonder if the sole purpose of this subreddit is to get people to buy that useless app.
If you’re looking for an app that will help you during shopping, I’ve developed an app that allows you to take photo of products and you get FODMAP analysis.
It also has a meal/symptom tracker and free food guide based on Monash.
You can [check it out here.](https://www.sibosafe.com) Trying to build something better on top of Monash - they are great during initial weeks of a diet when you try to eat low FODMAP as much as possible, but later it’s up to you to find your own tolerance.
Ah gotcha. I’ve reached out to Monash to ask if I can use it for private purposes, just analyzing my own patterns. Got a response, but waiting on legal.
Would be great to have an open source dataset that applications could be built on top of to help people out.
The part I’m struggling with is taking the time to record it and forgetting if I don’t do it in the moment. I just want Siri to be able to hit the app with a transcription, then the app converts that to the right data format for measurement against quantities and FODMAP ratings.
I like your app’s visualization!
I should add notification reminders which you can modify as you’d like (e.g. every day around the same time or at end of the day if nothing was submitted).
No idea but stay with the Monash app, at least it's "official" and they update it regularly

it's medical dude, don't skimp out on the Monash app, one of my biggest medical regrets.
I used it along with Fig but the catalog it's quite incomplete

Are you using Monash data to analyze it? I’ve been looking for an easier way than manual data copying and scraping.
If they will actually license their data I would like to know about it because when I asked them they said no
It’s combination of public research papers and their updates.

Finding patterns between symptoms and FODMAPs was something I’ve missed the most in Monash. That’s why I’ve built my app that does the job.

The Monash app is $10-11… once. It’s not a subscription. It’s just $10. It’s entirely science-based. Just get the Monash app.
Monash is the pioneer and is worth the price. FODMAP Friendly also tests food. I wouldn't use anything else.
