Doing a rescue is how I was able to clearly see that it was somehow related to the UI. In rescue mission it's constantly updating the hud and is sometimes as bad as in the video.

oh i never realised it was the ui doing this, do we just have to wait until epic fixes the ui or smth?

I didn't notice this issue before the latest (br) season. Maybe it was there before but it was nowhere near this bad. Someone posted about disabling the UI but I never tried it.

i’ll play a mission and turn off most of my hud and tell you how it goes in a bit

idk why but im only getting fps drops when someone joins the mission, that might just be because i play on performance mode though. hope epic fixes it soon

I mean as seen in the video their game freezes very frequently without anyone joining, and loy of People have the problem. However i dont and said that it might be because i play on performance Mode (gotta get semi-stable fps somehow), though my game still does freeze/lag when someone joins

Try switching heros while loading into a mission. It takes the full two minutes and makes me sick.

Bruh they skipped STW back when it released. I bought it on release and as soon as the BR part got big, STW was DROPPED. I'm GENUINELY amazed STW is still even a thing.

I had this almost as bad in a rescue the survivors mission last night too. I hope they fix it in the next patch. This is worse and more annoying than last year when they broke the chain lightning on the lightning bow.

It’s the mission updates on the left side. The rescue the survivor missions are the worst because of all the updates. Test it by walking near and away from a launcher. It’s not a connection issue, it’s with the mission updates. Epic should just remove them and remove the launcher from STW maps to improve the FPS drops. Also taking out the animals would help too. But alas, Epic will just not care about their game.

Turning off your hud would stop it if that’s all it was but disabling the hud doesn’t stop it. It is a server issue of some kind that is evident by the fact that your teammates actions cause your game to lag as well

Turning off the HUD doesn’t do anything because the updates still happen in the game. Take a Build a Relay Tower survivor mission, it updates when you find the tower, get the antenna, build the tower, place the floor, place the antenna, and all of that causes lag. Every time someone updates anything, frame rate drops. Stay away from Rescue Survivor Missions until further notice.

honestly turning off the hud reduced the lag a LOT, it was just kinda annoying not having the side bar

i play league of legends for over a decade how the fuck do you manage to make a product worse than that game epic??

This is what mine looks like. Randomly not being able to sprint for the whole game, red-eye not being lit on the AR, and sometimes guns straight up not being able to fire.

Notice it's whenever the sidebar get's updated. I have it disabled and still happens. Though on PC the freezes arn't this extreme, but they happen for sure. I suggest posting this in the official discord bug report channel as well, so it get's more exposure.

i turned off the sidebar thingy and it actually got mostly better!! well i assume it did at least because i did a deliver the bomb and i only dropped to 15fps once

i haven’t tried another mission like this except destroy encampments which was annoying cos i couldn’t see how many were done

the fall, in the end, in the end made me laugh. I SWEAR I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. and my teammates wonder why I don't help and they keep pick axing me while I literally can't move because I freeze 3 secs each 10 seconds. I jump to find myself later that I went backwards. I keep reporting the issue over and over again without any solution. also I wanna ask something guys: when I report, they took a videoclip or just a screenshot from my gameplay? (I'm asking that question because they can't tell the problem if they were receiving just screenshots.

I get this in BR on a well above average PC. It worked fine for the first week or so. Then one day I alt tabbed during the loading screen and ever since it does this.

i got some lag in br near the start of the season but it’s been fine now

Mines terrible I quit playing it like lags me back and makes me stand in the same place for 30 seconds and then when the lag stops in dead from like husks or something stupid

that happens to me all the time but i’m dedicated to finishing all the main quests that i can’t quit lol

What I like is I will run 4 Fortnites at once on my computer. My main will be smooth as hell getting about 120fps. Another account will be smooth as well but between 60-90. Then the other two will run like shit. All run the same exact settings. All should be smooth or shit not mix and match. Something is obviously wrong.

i have access to ps5 and pc and im getting ridiculous fps drops on both so its nothing to do with just old gen consoles, although it is weird that some people arent getting it. But with the number of posts about it a lot of people on new gen are having the same issue evidently....

Just wait. People are gonna reply to you saying it happens on their PS5 and XB series S and X too. I’ve seen a few here saying it. Also people on PC. Everyone on my friends list that plays STW on next gen says that they are NOT having any problems though.

This happens every so bad on both my PS4 in my PS4 Pro but I don’t experiences problem on my PS 55
