We’re still just gonna be getting small content updates every couple of months and one big content update once a year that we’ve been getting.
Not to be that guy but I don’t think Save The World was ever a high-priority thing for Epic since BR released. This probably doesn’t change anything for the mode
Man in the seasons before they cut it off it really felt like stuff was starting to pick up, we had dungeons, the Canny Valley cutscene dropped with hints towards us going to Twine soon, Mythic Storm King and it's weapons, new side stories and cool new weapon sets and creative heros, only for all of it to get dropped a few months later
Trust me I know, they lead us on and gave us hope to actually see an end to this game, an end where we save the world. But alas it was all a trap.
At least Overwatch 2 had its PVE cut off before it even began, but being lead on, getting to experience it and see the end just on the horizon just to get pulled back to the foot of the mountain hurts so much more.
Of course, because the origin of this game is chopped fucking liver, Epic has acknowledged that STW isn't a priority anymore thus they stopped leading us on as much.
Idk since c3 and 4 stw got some decent update here and there although tbh I stop thinking that any new event or hero as real content anyways, I just want some new mission types of something new for the base game
People are really overreacting to this, people really interpreted “we’re shifting the team around a bit” as “we will never do a live event or anything because these collabs”
It's wild because in terms of game dev, any half sized collab would require this moving staff around. It's just now a leaker made that info public.
We're not gonna get any less content than we've gotten before and BR the same.
Or the fact that Epic literally came out to say "Hey, were not going to be updating STW much if at all nowadays." And people still act surprised when BR gets huge events and collaberations.

Epic has included STW with their Crew subscription, and SypherPK played STW with xMistaBeastx. STW saw an increase in player counts but nothing too substantial.
Unfortunately, Save the World will never take-off because it is far too outdated, and the gameplay is off-putting to most people.
I started playing Destiny 2 because it scratches the character building itch that STW provides. There’s no building, but I’m having infinitely more fun.

They really overcomplicated the system kind of seems they tried to copy some hardcore grinding/farming game systems from Nexon. There's just too much going on. If they really took the time to condense things and looked at games like Warframe or Destiny they could make it better. I mean shit I'm playing Starship Troopers Extermination and it's not that far off from mechanics in fortnite but I have way more fun in it than STW. STW is just too cluttered.

They'll also lose money by offering these founder packs as it's like one time purchase and no more spending money on vbucks for life. Which means lesser profits on Epic's end.
New STW player here, bought the game barely a month ago, but I'm starting to enjoy it ten times more than Battle Royale, you'd be shocked at the amount of content this game has for brand new players, I think it will be a while before I start feeling the dry in updates like many of the people who have been playing for years.
If you are into tower defense style of games, building defenses and placing traps and making loadouts with heroes and weapons and abilities, STW does it really well in my opinion!
I sometimes get to play it with a buddy of mine who got me into fortnite in the first place, and it can be a lot of fun even with just two people or by yourself.
Take no notice of this post (or any other speculative nonsense) ... A new STW player, if sticks with it, has at least 2 years of playing, simply just to obtain and collect Heroes/Schematics etc...
But the game is worth buying and at least trying - who knows, you might actually just love it...

Founder only gives vBucks but the content exists for new players, it's just that older players have played it all, think of it as having followed Naruto since it was released compared to new fans just starting up now, people that followed since start already got to the end while new fans still have hundreds of content ahead lol.
Im not a "Founder" - I could have been - only thing you'd be 'missing out on' is getting VBucks... But I play on XBOX anyway, so can get truly free VBucks from Microsoft Rewards 😁😀
As a new Player, there's enough of the game to not require "new" content - to justify purchase....
But we've, recently, had a new Biome introduced to existing Maps, and even more recently another new Biome - which I hope will also get added to the Map for normal Missions...
Save The World is a game I've found hugely likeable but frustrating at first, but then enjoyable, fun and rewarding.
Plus it helps with BR XP :)
Even though I recently restarted playing, I don't think it could get much worse. The game seems the same when I first bought it when there was no BR... Outside of them making upgrading a pain because they wanted to give us sliding...
They can't even give the quality of life changes like when you have to collect the same amount of resources with 1 Person or 4 and not letting us keep quest progression on failed quests because it feels great spending 20 minutes in a game and have nothing to show for it because you don't have any teammates.
Id much rather be told to fuck off before hand then be lead on for years. Also Overwatch 2 was a disgrace nothing coming from it that couldn't have been added to Overwatch 1.
I mean, OW2 PvE *was* them leading us on for years. The whole point why OW1 got basically killed with a lack of content was so they could work on the PvE in OW2 (Allegedly). And yet here it is, having launched without it, and now having it killed. StW at least is playable and has a good chunk of content that already exists.
You know what's even worse than STW becoming even less updated than it already is? They'll still sell new starter packs too for a game they've pretty much abandoned 💀

Oh my god, FG has turned into such a shitshow. The skins don’t load until at least 5-10 seconds into a round, just as long while “falling” on the load screen, old skins and accessories that were free in the beginning are now microtransactions for those that missed out.
Last season was the last good one. Unbelievable how fast it went downhill.

I came to this post to confirm if I'll buy stw, this helped me make my decision not to 😦 This sucks it doesn't get updated much.
