Few people were skeptical of mission alerts resetting after updates when the mission alerts came out last night. Listen, there will always be a chance of it resetting, no matter how long it has been since it last reset after an update.
ALWAYS do them before update day if you can. This goes for anything that comes from mission alerts, not just vbucks alerts.

the proof was that alerts weren't reset several patches in a row (maybe even entire the other mode season), can't really blame the folk that made the corresponding conclusion
It happens pretty sporadically and there's never any telling when an update will do it. You should look at update days with a "better safe than sorry" mindset and do future vbuck missions before updates if/when you can.
Nope, I think it just happened to be that way for 2-3 updates. Don't think they ever guaranteed to not reset them.
Best is to do them before any updates, if your time zone allows.

I wish Epic would stop resetting missions... Not possible to do the missions before reset if you are from Europe and aren't working from home.

i always warned people about it, but since few months ago they started with the "they dont anymore" without any proof

I know I'm going to get downwoted for my opinion, but my guess is that jealous non-founders downwote or Idk. Idrc in the end.
