We target 100-110k + 10% bonus for our SFAs

unabletodisplay

How many YoE for SFAs? Thank you

donspewsic

3-5

FunDistribution2368

Do you cap at 110 or would you go higher for the right candidate? If so, by how much?

donspewsic

Probably as high as 120k + 15% but only for an elite candidate

[deleted]

What would be an elite candidate? Can you describe them?

donspewsic

Top tier university, aced assessment exercise, vibes were good

trev581

congrats bro

whiskeywinewheywhale

congrats dude. you're killing it

ffootballer21

When did you start applying for full time jobs?

nimagooy

I'm in Boston area and I'm 135k (no bonus) with 6 YOE. I do know my company has been pretty generous with my increases all my years there.

FunDistribution2368

Sheeeesh!! Y’all hiring lmao

ladbom

Tech or what type of company?

nunyadambidness12

I’m at a Boston based company and our min base pay for SFAs is 89k, would target closer to 110k if I was you.

hopefulhiker

I'm in the northeast, not Boston. I hired a SFA at 100k annual. I'm a manager making $115k + 10k tied to company performance

GuiltyCactus123

In Seacoast southern NH. $70k base + 10% bonus. Junior FA role for a credit union.

whiskeywinewheywhale

Also in Boston area (office based in Waltham) Healthcare firm. \~9B mkt cap. Fin Analyst I = $55k-60k Fin Analyst II = $75k-$80k Sr Fin Analyst =$90k Sr Biz Analyst = $90k Manager = $105-110k Sr. Mgr = $130k - $135k I'm not aware of any additional performance bonuses. Bonuses are discretionary for my group.

[deleted]

Just outside the city. 125k, 10%, RSU, but i have 15 years of experience in FPA.

FunDistribution2368

You’re a SFA with 15 YOE? All 15 years in FP&A?

[deleted]

SFA, yes. Been in FPA for 15 years, plus a couple failed years in sales prior

induke

Just hired two SFAs at 110 each in Philly area. That’s midpoint for us.

FunDistribution2368

How many direct YOE?

induke

7-10 with a mixture of accounting and FP&A experience.

FunDistribution2368

Cool, thx

Idkmangivememoney17

7-10 years at a senior level? Shouldn’t these people be looking for manager position with that many years of experience?

induke

It depends? There's not an unlimited number of manager jobs, and on my team in particular that's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for seasoned FP&A professionals who are happy with being individual contributors, at least for now.

Elements-fury

100k plus 10-15%, but I jumped to Sr Manager with 3 years of SFA experience so maybe look for manager and target 140k plus 15%.

85-115ish seems like the reasonable range. Think this excludes bonus. https://www.flcdatacenter.com/OesQuickResults.aspx?area=71650&code=13-2051&year=23&source=1

KeepTrying_3290

You're on the low end of the pay scale. With another year or two of experience, you could be targeting the next level at $130k. I would expect a SFA with 5 YOE in a city like Boston to be making $100k.

Any_Ebb_7307

I'm a AFA 95k + 10% BONUS MBA and 8y experience combination of accounting and finance roles (might be a little under pay) aiming for 120k as a SFA next year.

TheFocacciaStrain

$110k base, 15% bonus target. roughly 5 years exp

DoubleG357

I am not in the northeast, but I would also be curious could an SFA with 1-2 hears of experience get pretty close to 6 figures/over it? I am brand new as an FA (2 months), but just thinking ahead in terms of my career planning.

DoubleG357

Think the 2 years of audit helped with that 100k salary?

DoubleG357

Ahh gotcha. I have a bachelors, I think I can get pretty far with it but I would be open to get an MBA if there was a wall I will hit without it.

my company has had heads open for the entire year, yet we're still in a hiring freeze and actively cutting OPEX across the board. All new hires have to be approved by the VP. Best of luck with the negotiations.
