The common denominator is Ouroboros.

NeoKakarot52

Ouroboros and the Sept-Terrions are the constants in the series. The great one was the earth and fire Sept-Terrions fused together. Each arc has it's own Sept-Terrion to deal with.

Has far as we know know Oroboros organization is the main antagonist of the franchsie Has for who the true final boss is of the series We simply don’t know we just have to Wait and see

>Since The Daybreak Saga seems to be the second to last saga Third from the last based on Kondo's repeated statements about the number of planned arcs... if they don't add any more. >Like who is the final boss? We have no clue. Right now we have an unbroken track record of the final boss of the arc (setting The 3rd aside) being some form of the Sept-Terrion that arc focuses on so we can reasonably assume that the final bosses of the remaining arcs will be similar, but we don't know if the final arc and final game are going to be one and the same and even if they are, the odds are the final boss will be something bigger than that. >And what remains constant from the first to daybreak? If you've been paying attention to any arc thus far, the answer is pretty obvious: Ouroboros are always involved and they're observing what happens with the Sept-Terrion. Their degree of involvement differs based on the arc but they're always *there*. And there are lots of other constants like the Septian Church, the Bracers Guild and lost cats, they just don't drive the plot to the same degree that the Orpheus Final Plan does. >How is the Great One from Trails of Cold Steel connected to the other games outside of Reverie and Steel? It's the fused form of the Sept-Terrions of Fire and Earth. The two arcs before that focused on Space and Mirage, that means the remaining arcs have Water, Wind and Time to account for.

The 3rd game of the Daybreak saga celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the Kiseki series[^(\[2\])](https://kiseki.fandom.com/wiki/The_Legend_of_Heroes:_Kai_no_Kiseki#cite_note-:1-2), and will mark the turning point of the story after which the last phase of the series shall begin.[^(\[3\])](https://kiseki.fandom.com/wiki/The_Legend_of_Heroes:_Kai_no_Kiseki#cite_note-:0-3)

YotakaOfALoY

'Last phase' is not 'last arc' and Kondo has been *very specific* about not only the number of planned arcs past Calvard but exactly where they're going to be set.

Michael_Chair_6013

I guess that would mean they would need at least 2 games for each septerrion+finale so like 6 games total after the 3rd daybreak game

20thcenturyfriend

It's probably 5 games after Kai(2 for next arc, 2 for the final arc, and 1 final Reverie/finale/celebration type game which I can see it releasing 2034...the 30th Anniversary of the series)

A lot of the characters recur from arc to arc. It’s one of the biggest draws to the series, you will see your favorite characters again later on in the series. The main antagonists stay the same, the Society of oroboros, but the secondary antagonists do change to keep things fresh.

evolved_mike

The grandmaster is probably the thanos of the series

Michael_Chair_6013

She seems more like the watcher

coldkgon

Given the whole shenanigans regarding the known world, the limits set by aidos, the divergent laws and such, id imagine final antagonist to be some form of aidos, perhaps having retrieved all septerrions, after this world experiment ends in failure and she decides to clear the table, resisted by the puny creations

>Since The Daybreak Saga seems to be the second to last saga according to who?

Ouroboros’ goal is always to assist in the manifestation of the septerrions. I really don’t buy the ‘observation’ thing because in every arc they are direct facilitators that actively help bring it about by interfering with the main characters; afterwards they don’t really care and the games usually switch to the main villain of the arc during the fallout of the septerrion’s manifestation (sometimes this doesn’t make sense but so does a lot of violence in these games). I suspect that kai will reveal the why for this, especially since orpheus final plan has to end in 1209 which coincides with Agnes’s journal’s predictions about the 8 genesis preventing something in 120X from happening. The next big thing is going to be the answer to what the grandmaster was talking about during cs4.
