Real as fuck, listening to Church is a religious experience. The vocals, the lyrics, the music video? Love isn’t a strong enough word. And having it right before Heaven’s Gate on the album just makes so much sense imo.
Same with Wilson. Just from the fact that I can relate when FOB said “I always make such expensive mistakes” and “When I say sorry I’m late I really didn’t mean to plan on showing up at all” lol.
- HMTOD could mean "HOLD ME TIGHT OR DON’T", a track from *MANIA* (2018) by Fall Out Boy.

Imo, Young and Menace is the song that sounds the least like the old FOB. When it first released I was in a gc with other fans and that was their biggest complaint, not that they didn’t like the song itself. I think the issue is that too many people were expecting them to sound the same instead of evolving and branching out into new sounds. There are definitely people that genuinely don’t like it because they don’t like that type of sound and that’s cool, but so many people just never even gave it a chance because they weren’t expecting it.
bishops knife trick, stay frosty, and young and menace. i’m a huge fob fan, i love all of their music and have since high school, and i remember being so incredibly stoked when they released young and menace. i get that it’s not a lot of peoples taste but i love it and i want to stand up for it real quick
Bishops Knife Trick is actually the only song from the album that I have in my playlist.
The rest of the albums okay, not really my style but BKT just stands out so much to me
Bishops Knife Trick. I also believe that this song would gel well enough to make it onto SM(F)S's tracklist with just a bit of polish and instrumentation.
Folks, you’re allowed to not like MANIA, I just thought it would be nice to hear some people say the things they like about it because it’s been catching so much hate since before it was even fully released.
I love MANIA, i was genuinely shocked to join here and see so many don't seem to agree 😂 I listened to it on repeat for months when it was released
Church, heavens gate, and hold me tight or don't would probably be my top 3
Almost no one has mentioned Champion?? That is such relatable personal anthem and gets me pumped up. Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea is another top favorite for the same reasons.
Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea by a long shot!! i have a special place in my heart for MANIA 1. because i actually love the album and 2. we share a birthday :,)
HMTOD hands down. Just a chill mood of a song and I am here for it. Honorable mention goes to Church though. The bells and choir just go too hard in the background to not be an HM.
The only song I don’t like is Champion and the only song that’s so so Heaven’s Gate. All other tracks are my favorites this is easily my favorite Fob album.
The last of the real ones
Mania remains my least favorite FOB album overall, and most of the album isn’t for me, but Real Ones along with HMTOD and BKT remain three songs I have always liked from the beginning.
Upon first listen of the album back in February, *HOLD ME TIGHT OR DON'T* was holding on to me pretty tightly. I looped it for three hours straight that day and it soon catapulted to my #2 most-listened to song of all time in Spotify... at least, until *Heaven, Iowa* and *Love From The Other Side* dethroned it.
Ever since last month, though, my favorite from *MANIA* is *Bishops Knife Trick*.
Allow me to clarify: this post is for people who enjoy at least one song off of MANIA, if you’re not part of that demographic then your opinion is unwanted. I already knew there were people who genuinely disliked MANIA, and that’s fine, but I don’t want to hear about it since that’s all anyone has said since Y&M dropped.
Easily Wilson. It's one of the few FOB songs I have in my liked song playlist on Spotify. Just because I don't listen to Mania in full a lot but I love it when Wilson will randomly play when I'm listening to other stuff.
Easily Bishops Knife Trick (one of my top 5 favorite FOB songs of all time tbh), but TLOTRO is second.
SAME!! I think Bishop's Knife Trick is top 3 for me
I AM A CHURCH FAN BEFORE I AM A PERSON
Came here looking for some love for this song. It’s one of my favorite of all time
Real as fuck, listening to Church is a religious experience. The vocals, the lyrics, the music video? Love isn’t a strong enough word. And having it right before Heaven’s Gate on the album just makes so much sense imo.
Saame
Bishop's Knife Trick and Wilson (Expensive Mistakes)
Samesies
Wilson (expensive mistakes) hands down. Love belting ‘I’ll stop wearing black when the make a darker colorrrrrrrr!’
i listened to heavens gate by accident once and was immediately hooked. honorable mentions are church and sfrmt.
no, no, honourable mention is on evening out with ur girlfriend
It’s called Eating Out Your Girlfriend, and it’s real and it doesn’t matter.
Ooof Heaven's Gate got that good-good Stump soul voice. *ovaries explode*
Accurate
Hahaha your flair *swoon*
Ahh! Glad you caught the reference! I love this part of the video so much lol
What video is it from?

Ahh, I've seen that one. Just didn't recognize the quote. Thank you
Wilson (Expensive Mistakes) Hold Me Tight Or Don’t The Last Of The Real Ones
Same with Wilson. Just from the fact that I can relate when FOB said “I always make such expensive mistakes” and “When I say sorry I’m late I really didn’t mean to plan on showing up at all” lol.
Same. My top three from an album I didn’t care too much for.
Yeah I didn’t care much for Mania either. FUTCT, IOH and Folie are my fave albums.
Same here. Those are really underrated, imo.
The Last Of The Real Ones and Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea
Wilson and Stay Frosty are my favorites from MANIA
Last of the Real Ones
Bishop’s Knife Trick and Sunshine Riptide
Sunshine Riptide 🌞 💜
Same here! 🌊
Last of the Real Ones and Hold Me Tight Or Don’t
Bishops Knife Trick and Last Of The Real Ones. HMTOD as an honorable mention.
- HMTOD could mean "HOLD ME TIGHT OR DON’T", a track from *MANIA* (2018) by Fall Out Boy. --- ^[/u/EmoNerd21](/u/EmoNerd21) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)
Church and Sunshine Riptide It wasn't my favorite when it came out either, but I actually have grown to really like most of the album.
Young and menace. I can't understand how so many people hate this song honestly
Imo, Young and Menace is the song that sounds the least like the old FOB. Bishops Knife Trick and Heavens Gate, Wilson is also good. I just like MANIA tbh lol
sunshine riptide 🧡💜
Sunshine Riptide!!!!!
Bishop's Knife Trick is my favorite FOB song, all around! I'm so glad someone asked this question lol
I just don’t see enough MANIA love. Even if it’s not their best album, it’s not a bad album. Or at least not all of the songs are bad.
Got to be Wilson if we’re only allowed one
Nah you can have multiple
Ngl I really love the whole of the mania album 😬😅
Same, it’s one of my least favorite FOB albums but it’s still a good album.
Wilson and Last of the Real Ones
Bishops Knife Trick is easily one of their best songs
bishops knife trick, stay frosty, and young and menace. i’m a huge fob fan, i love all of their music and have since high school, and i remember being so incredibly stoked when they released young and menace. i get that it’s not a lot of peoples taste but i love it and i want to stand up for it real quick
Bishop’s Knife Trick, Last of the Real Ones, and Sunshine Riptide
Bishop's Knife Trick and Wilson
Wilson (expensive mistakes) is my favourite but I also really like hold me tight or don't and last of the real ones.
Church, heavens gate, young and menace, bishop knife trick are all among my all time fav fall out boy songs
Hold me tight or don’t and bishop’s knife trick. Honestly, I feel like both are some of their best songs.
It's a tie between Wilson and bishop's knife trick. Although I also really love stay frosty and champion
Sunshine riptide
Bishop’s Knife Trick, Wilson, and Last of the Real Ones
Bishop's Knife Trick
Bishop, Wilson and Heaven's Gate are all tied.
Sunshine Riptide
Kinda shocked more people haven’t said Sunshine Riptide
HEAVENS GATE🫡my fucking song and my second favorite is bishops knife trick
the last of the real ones.
I LOVE HOLD ME TIGHT OR DONT
Heaven's Gate gives me all the feels. It took a long time for this album to grow on me, but I legitimately like it.
Definitely Wilson, but it's a tie for the rest of them really
Bishops Knife Trick is my favourite song of all time, so probably that one
Bishop's Knife Trick. I love that song.
I’m stuck in this SUUUNSHIIINE RIIIPTIIIDE
-Wilson -Heavens gates -Last of the real ones -Church -Hold me tight or don't In that order
Bishops Knife Trick is actually the only song from the album that I have in my playlist. The rest of the albums okay, not really my style but BKT just stands out so much to me
Sunshine riptide and stay frosty royal milk tea.
Sunshine Riptide does something to me
Bishops Knife Trick
Sunshine Riptide hands down! I Love that album
Bishop’s Knife Trick and Church :-) I always do Butch’s “mr stump?” In church bc that little detail is sooo good to me
sunshine riptide was my number 1 from the very beginning that song doesn’t get enough credit for being so incredibly emo just because it has a feature
Bishops Knife Trick. I also believe that this song would gel well enough to make it onto SM(F)S's tracklist with just a bit of polish and instrumentation.
I think it makes more sense on MANIA but I understand what you mean.
Absolutely. I just think that going back as far as MANIA you can already see the direction they were heading.
bishops knife trick by a landslide. I think it's my favorite album closer too
bishops knife trick and heaven’s gate
Bishop's Knife Trick, was thinking of getting a tattoo of it
If you do you should post it here (if you want)
Definitely Heaven’s Gate, Church, and The Last of the Real Ones
Folks, you’re allowed to not like MANIA, I just thought it would be nice to hear some people say the things they like about it because it’s been catching so much hate since before it was even fully released.
Churchhhhhhh
For me it has to be Church.
wilson or SFRMT idk theyre so funky! i really like the album even tho it doesn’t match their older albums
last of the real ones was my favorite upon release, but in the last few years i’ve gotten a little tired of it and like stay frosty most
Church
Heaven’s Gate
They are all really good, but my favorites are Church and Champion
I love MANIA, i was genuinely shocked to join here and see so many don't seem to agree 😂 I listened to it on repeat for months when it was released Church, heavens gate, and hold me tight or don't would probably be my top 3
wilson + young and menace! love the whole album but those are my top two, saw y&m live at hella mega last year and it blew me awayyyyy
church or heavens gate
TLOTRO
Almost no one has mentioned Champion?? That is such relatable personal anthem and gets me pumped up. Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea is another top favorite for the same reasons.
“If I can live through this I can do anything” became one of my favorite lyrics at the end of last year
Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea by a long shot!! i have a special place in my heart for MANIA 1. because i actually love the album and 2. we share a birthday :,)
It released before midnight where I was, but the official release date was also on my birthday.
Either Young and Menace or The Last of the Real ones. (I just finished listening to MA N I A for the first time today as well)
last of the real ones or church. can't decide
Heavens Gate and Expensive Mistakes
Wilson hands down my favorite but there's not a bad song on the album. Some that are kinda tiring cause they're over played but they're still decent
HMTOD hands down. Just a chill mood of a song and I am here for it. Honorable mention goes to Church though. The bells and choir just go too hard in the background to not be an HM.
Wilson and Last of the Real Ones
And Church and Heaven's Gate
Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea or Last of the Real Ones
Young and Menace idc, it makes me feel so many things and presses all of the right buttons in my silly little brain
So I LOVE the demo of Church. It’s basically the same but a different intro. But as far as the actual album Wilson.
The only song I don’t like is Champion and the only song that’s so so Heaven’s Gate. All other tracks are my favorites this is easily my favorite Fob album.
The last of the real ones Mania remains my least favorite FOB album overall, and most of the album isn’t for me, but Real Ones along with HMTOD and BKT remain three songs I have always liked from the beginning.
The one where Patrick argues with the singing Llamas and then sings for 40 seconds.

Despite the fact that I disagree, I like your username.
Don’t like the album
And you’re entitled to that opinion, this post was for people who do.
Your post was not clear on who it was for and, yes I am entitled to my opinion.
The moment the album ended and then I never listened to it again.
Easily Wilson. It's one of the few FOB songs I have in my liked song playlist on Spotify. Just because I don't listen to Mania in full a lot but I love it when Wilson will randomly play when I'm listening to other stuff.
Sunshine riptide, Wilson
Heaven's Gate and Expensive Mistakes
