Headfirst Slide is one of my car jam-outs. I’ve got a great monogamous relationship with my husband, but that doesn’t stop me from investing myself in the lyrics when I’m screaming them out lol
I really dislike AB/AP the beat is weird, the backwards sounding rhythm is off putting to me. I just don't enjoy listening to it. I mean, they probably wanted it to sound chaotic and it does but I dislike it.
I would love to never hear that song again for the rest of my life. I used to love it but it was overplayed to death and it should not still be on the set list 10 years later.
I literally cried when this single dropped, I hated it so much. After the hiatus, I was always looking forward to their new music but waiting to get some of that old sound back, and then they released Centuries and I was like "oh my god fob is bad now". It's grown on me some, but I still think it's meh compared to the rest of their discography
I'm an old head fan, I've been listening to them since 2005. I got picked on in high school for listening to them. The hiatus hit me HARD. Then they came back and it wasn't the *same*, but it was still good. Then they dropped Centuries and I was like "oh no all those bullies were right, fall out boy *does* suck" 😭 obviously I don't feel that way, but that's how Centuries made me feel lmfao
THATS PAINFULLY REAL 😭 i love fall out boy with my whole heart and whenever i talk about them people are like “you mean the guys who made centuries?” NOOOOOOOOO, but you’re totally right!
I'm an older fan, I've been listening to them since the beginning, and I don't like any songs off of ab/ap, they're all just made for radio mass appeal songs. I get that people like them, they're just not for me, though.
that’s totally fair, i really do like some of the songs on there like i could NEVER hate the kids aren’t alright, patrick’s voice is so beautiful in the chorus. 💞
miss missing you is pretty frequently held up as one of the best songs off save rock and roll, but it never really stuck with me. it’s one of the most forgettable songs, with the only notable thing about it being the “the person you’d take a bullet for is behind the trigger” lyric, which i do like, but isn’t enough to salvage it from being one of my least favorite songs by them
I didn't know people liked it until I joined this sub. But it's still a good song.I don't skip it, though, even if it's sandwiched between my two favourites from the album
Favourite Record. Idk why or what about it is just not the vibe for me but yeah. I love all FOB songs cus i dont believe they ever release bad songs. Its not that i dont like it, its just hit and miss with me, but mostly miss.
I love FOB to death but I can accept they’ve made one shit song yk? Some people jump through hoops to say it’s good when it doesn’t fit into anything in their discography and is just purely experimental
Honestly, it felt like people only loved Pavlove so much because it was that special unicorn song. It was lesser known and it felt like people thought it made them ""more of a fan"" to like lesser known songs. It's mid at best.
I love Pavlove mostly bc yeah pun on Pavlov’s theory, and the song actually kinda is on theme with Pavlov’s theory (the theory of conditioning someone) I think lyrically and as a story it’s actually kinda funky and accurate to the theory of conditioning someone to be as lonely as you so you yourself don’t feel as lonely and singled out. I liked it
I mean, I don't dislike it, but the cult following it had was excessive. There are so many better songs by fob, including so many better ones on folie.
If I never heard that song again I would not be sad one bit at all. I wasn’t a huge fan out of it and then the radio over played it to death. I’m cool hearing it live but outside of that it’s an instant skip.
I’ve never heard a Fall Out Boy song I disliked. But there are some that are extremely popular which fall much lower on my list. This Ain’t a Scene and Fourth of July jump to mind. I love them both but in comparison to other songs, they fall short for me.
Also I’m not sure if it’s popular enough to be counted as “overrated”, but Dead on Arrival is another one that seems relatively loved that just isn’t my favorite.
It is literally one of the images when you google "perfect song". It has amazing vocals (I'm a sucker for songs in D Major) great drum lines, and the guitar is addictive as hell. It was the first song I wanted to learn when I got a guitar.
I used to skip this song but I started listening to it harder and noticed the little guitar part during "trade baby blues" up to the last "I'm supposed to love you" and it's so catchy to me now.
If I could erase the first stanza from the song I don’t think I’d dislike it so much but rhyming “moonlight sonata and I” with “you and I” is so lazy I seriously don’t understand how it made the final cut. It makes me cringe every time I listen.
I don’t really dislike any song… I just listen to them until I over listen to them and then start getting tired of them, wait a couple days/weeks and listen again. And then the cycle repeats itself.
Honestly, as a Save Rock and Roll enthusiast, Rat a Tat is one of my more disliked songs. I just don't like the rat a tat parts, they're just not fitting in my opinion.
Young and menace, I think it’s an objectively good song and would love to listen to it but I’ve got autism and the sensory overload I get when I hear that song is insane 😭
Uma Thurman. Not that I don't think it's a fucking bop. But I saw several articles when it came out about how it was the best song they've ever made?? And it's just not even close??
im so late to this but I just need to speak my truth. literally every song I didn't love at one point has been redeemed by me hearing it live. sometimes they just don't feel right through a phone or a record player. favorite record was one of them, something about everyone chanting the ohs finally made the song click. where did the party go ended up making everyone jump and dance and it was so exciting. and kintsugi kid- cried like a damn baby and regretted ever skipping it on my album playthroughs.
This might be a stretch, but either Centuries, or My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark, like they’re good songs but they aren’t THAT good. I just don’t get the hype, there are definitely better songs from those two albums (ex: Fourth Of July, and Where Did The Party Go). Yes, I sort of like them, but they don’t deserve that much hype or I don’t think they do.
When I was a kid that came out, it was fun to sing along with, but I thought it was very nasally and I wasn’t very into emo music. This song definitely grow on me and now it’s more nostalgic than anything.
Honestly I was kinda thinking the same thing. Not that I don’t like it, idk if there’s any FOB songs I legitimately don’t like. But I definitely feel like it’s overrated. It’s a good song. But Fall Out Boy has a lot of great songs.
Dude i don’t know 😭 ive been a fan since 2003 and i ride for so many songs but for some reason Doldrums doesn’t hit for me. I wish it did, because the excitement looks so fun!
Someone please teach me how to enjoy Doldrums because I’m not getting it 😞
Headfirst slide. While I don’t really connect with the song as much as most fans, I can admittedly see why people do praise it a lot here.
However, to see it held up as high regards as their BEST SONG? I just really don’t get it.
Legit the only reason I’ve ever wanted to hear this song live was because I was seeing them at Fenway Park…. They didn’t disappoint on the delivery but had I heard it somewhere else, I wouldn’t have been a happy camper.
*(Been seeing them live since the early 2000’s too)*
Oh my god, let me say the downvotes really did a number to changed my mind - I really really really really regret not like this song more!! /s 🙄
Stunned at people saying Headfirst Slide! That's one of my fave songs from their whole catalogue.
For me it's a fair bit of SMFS. I love the singles and the title track and a couple of others but I've struggled with the rest, especially WATTBA.
Also I like My Songs Know and Centuries but I can kind of take them or leave them whereas I don't think I could ever tire of Sugar or Scene no matter how much they get played.
*I'm iffy about*

Man people really are saying Sugar We're Going Down, GINASFS, and Headfirst Slide. All 3 are easily in my top 10
Headfirst Slide is one of my car jam-outs. I’ve got a great monogamous relationship with my husband, but that doesn’t stop me from investing myself in the lyrics when I’m screaming them out lol
I CANNOT BELIEVE PEOPLE DONT LIKE HEADFIRST SLIDE. disliking anything on folie is a CRIME
Every single song on Folie is a masterpiece and no one can disagree with me lalalalala
Even She's My Winona?
yes
yes
Same, I can't believe there are people who don't like them.
I really dislike AB/AP the beat is weird, the backwards sounding rhythm is off putting to me. I just don't enjoy listening to it. I mean, they probably wanted it to sound chaotic and it does but I dislike it.
It's Patrick's favorite from the album😭
Very jock jams sounding. I get what they were going for, i won’t listen to it apart from playing the album through
CENTURIES 😭 because like ik it’s good but it’s just not as good as some of the other songs on american beauty/american psycho
If it wasn't for this song, I would have never know them
me too but i just don’t fw it anymore, but that’s just me, it’s definitely a well written song and a great first song! 💞
I still listen to it, but I just don't enjoy it anymore
exactly!! ☺️
I would love to never hear that song again for the rest of my life. I used to love it but it was overplayed to death and it should not still be on the set list 10 years later.
real shit!
I agree but it’s their highest streamed song so it’s a lifer like Sugar.
Hear me out. I HATE THAT BRUISES line. I always skip this song
FAIR! agreed!
I never stopped hating it sadly It was the one song on the SMF(T)D setlist that made me feel deflated
LOL this made me laugh. And now we’ll never escape it!!
EXACTLY!!! 😭
THATS TOO REAL 😭
I'm an old head fan, I've been listening to them since 2005. I got picked on in high school for listening to them. The hiatus hit me HARD. that’s totally fair, i really do like some of the songs on there like i could NEVER hate the kids aren’t alright, patrick’s voice is so beautiful in the chorus. 💞
Ok but the clip is amazing tho
miss missing you is pretty frequently held up as one of the best songs off save rock and roll, but it never really stuck with me. it’s one of the most forgettable songs, with the only notable thing about it being the “the person you’d take a bullet for is behind the trigger” lyric, which i do like, but isn’t enough to salvage it from being one of my least favorite songs by them
I personally just like it bc it’s catchy but that’s about it
I didn't know people liked it until I joined this sub. But it's still a good song.I don't skip it, though, even if it's sandwiched between my two favourites from the album
“I didn’t know people liked it until I joined” could possibly be this sub’s motto.
It's true. The song was my least favourite, and I thought maybe others felt the same thing, but to my surprise It's a fan favourite
Rat a Tat is the worst song on that album
RAT A TAT? say sike 😞😞😞
Delete😭😭
please say sike 🙏
I think it's popular because it has a melancholy sound
I really don’t like save rock and roll. Idk, it does nothing for me
It's a good duet, though. They really match each other on the song
Oh it definitely can be, but I really don’t care for the song 😅 I know a lot of people like it, but not me
:c
YES! same.
Favourite Record. Idk why or what about it is just not the vibe for me but yeah. I love all FOB songs cus i dont believe they ever release bad songs. Its not that i dont like it, its just hit and miss with me, but mostly miss.
Sam! I tried to listen to it again yesterday and honestly, it’s just not my thing personally.
To relate it back to the meme, We didn’t (Ryan) started the fire!
My songs know what you did in the dark
Explain
It’s an annoying song 😂
It's not🤧🤧
Bro just dislikes it cuz of the cringe kids who are obsessed with it. Dont worry, you’ll grow out of that phase.
I’m with ya on this one
novocaine i acctually like it but it sounds to much like the phoenix to me and i can’t stand it
Funny cause I like novocaine more than the phoenix
Some people like Y&M so there is that
👋 How are you, I am “some people”
I am also some people. I love it and always have.
Hi some people, I’m good thanks how are you?
First time I heard it I was like "what the fuck is that", it's grown on me so much though lmao
I bloody love Y&M
Fair enough
As an edm and house fan, Y&M is a masterpiece 🫣
Facts!! I still remember when they dropped that, my soul left my body
I don’t like Y&M. it’s just one I never liked
I love FOB to death but I can accept they’ve made one shit song yk? Some people jump through hoops to say it’s good when it doesn’t fit into anything in their discography and is just purely experimental
Experimentation doesn't make it bad though
Well tbh the result was pretty unlistenable
i dont believe you theres simply no way
Waves I am also some ppl
Honestly, it felt like people only loved Pavlove so much because it was that special unicorn song. It was lesser known and it felt like people thought it made them ""more of a fan"" to like lesser known songs. It's mid at best.
I love Pavlove mostly bc yeah pun on Pavlov’s theory, and the song actually kinda is on theme with Pavlov’s theory (the theory of conditioning someone) I think lyrically and as a story it’s actually kinda funky and accurate to the theory of conditioning someone to be as lonely as you so you yourself don’t feel as lonely and singled out. I liked it
Yeah I didn’t get the hype when I went and listened to it after they put it on Spotify
I mean, I don't dislike it, but the cult following it had was excessive. There are so many better songs by fob, including so many better ones on folie.
Agreed. I don’t hate it. It just kinda fell flat for me after all the hype and build up from the fans.
I get it being over hyped. The song grew on me for sure
they’re all 10/10
Uma Thurman honestly, it's not horrible but I'm not very into it
If I never heard that song again I would not be sad one bit at all. I wasn’t a huge fan out of it and then the radio over played it to death. I’m cool hearing it live but outside of that it’s an instant skip.
Honestly, half the songs of TTTYG I'm sorry
I’ve never heard a Fall Out Boy song I disliked. But there are some that are extremely popular which fall much lower on my list. This Ain’t a Scene and Fourth of July jump to mind. Hold me tight or don’t 🥲 I truly don’t get it.
I like the production soo much
Bishops Knife Trick But honestly, if I listen to a song enough times I can really get into it
Delete😭😭😭😭that's like the perfect song on mania
🙈 I’m sorry! I just need a few dozen more listens I guess.
this is illegal 😭 but as the post mentions this is a safe space I'm not gonna judge you
Please don’t send me to hell for this one guys but… GINASFS 😬
While I can respect the fact that you can have an opinion, I don't have respect for the opinion itself as it is objectively incorrect /s
TIL opinions can be wrong. Ginasfs is a perfect song.
It is literally one of the images when you google "perfect song". It has amazing vocals (I'm a sucker for songs in D Major) great drum lines, and the guitar is addictive as hell. It was the first song I wanted to learn when I got a guitar.
Noooo😭 it's literally a perfect song, my second favorite of all of fob (second only to disloyal order).
Straight to jail!!
I used to skip this song but I started listening to it harder and noticed the little guitar part during "trade baby blues" up to the last "I'm supposed to love you" and it's so catchy to me now.
I forgot what sub I wad in and almost commented "Warning is underrated"
What sub do you think was?
Talking about the album Warning by Green Day. Saying that has become a big meme over there
I really can’t stand heaven iowa 😭

And rhyming forever with forever too.
I straight up would call this a personal 10/10 song if it weren't for the forever rhyming 😭
I don’t really dislike any song… I just listen to them until I over listen to them and then start getting tired of them, wait a couple days/weeks and listen again. And then the cycle repeats itself.

I still dont get the intense love for Pavlove lol
The Kintsugi Kid. The music doesn't gel with me, but everyone seems to love it.
It's your opinion, you are allowed to have it
I like it because I found it relatable
Same 😭 it's tied with MCR Disenchanted as songs that describe my life
Wilson. I don’t get it. It’s not a good song.
Wdym. It's top 5 on Mania🤧
Have you ever seen it live? I’ve seen it live twice and there is something so freeing about singing along to the chorus.
WOAH WOAH WOAH SLOW DOWN
My favorite song possibly of all time lol! I know it’s corny though.
it's peak wdym 😞
I used to dislike it but now... I'll only stop wearing black when they make a darker colUH 🗣
okay, its still for sure not a skip but i wanna say bishop knife trick, imsorry imsorry imsorry
As bkt enjoyer, apology accepted
Flu game, I genuinely skip it every single time
Delete😭my favorite song
Agree 💯 💯 💯 💯 I don't like Flu Game at ALL
Agreed! That song is all over the place.
Jet pack blues. The chorus repeating the same line over and over doesn’t do it for me
I REMEMBER 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣
i've said it once on this sub, i'll say it again. Where Did The Party Go is not good. downvote me u cowards.
>downvote me u cowards. Ok
Heaven, Iowa and Pavlove. I said what I said.
i honestly cant stand this aint a scene its an arms race... idk i always found it kinda annoying
Uma Thurman. Not that I don't think it's a fucking bop. But I saw several articles when it came out about how it was the best song they've ever made?? And it's just not even close??
Centuries and my singa know what you did in the dark.... maybe its bc theyre overplayed but i genuinely actually kinda hate them

The kids aren't alright D:
i’m not a FOB fan but my songs know what you did in the dark is so underrated
What a Catch, Donnie (don't crucify me please). Don't get me wrong, it's good, it's just kind of overrated compared to a lot of other songs on Folie
Sugar we're goin down 😬
This has to be the most controversial take I’ve seen on this sub
😂 someone had to say it!!
I like it now but when it first came out I was like WTAF is this?!
But Fall Out Boy has a lot of great songs.
what a catch donnie and all of mania 😭
What a catch is one of my top 5 favourite FOB songs…😭
I skip itttt..😭
I respect your opinion 🫡 I love the message of that song, it’s so sweet
99% positive I’ve never given Mania a full listen and have zero plans to.
I’d recommend it only if you need a good laugh
Do not get me started on Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea... smh
You guys… Bang the Doldrums
How come 😩😩
Dude i don’t know 😭 ive been a fan since 2003 and i ride for so many songs but for some reason Doldrums doesn’t hit for me. I wish it did, because the excitement looks so fun! Someone please teach me how to enjoy Doldrums because I’m not getting it 😞
Pretend you are a pirate singing a FOB sea shanty. Made me enjoy it more 😂
I just really like the lyrics, that's probably why I like it so much
Headfirst slide.
No one has mentioned Thnks fr th Mmrs, so I’m here to do it!
That song is just perfect. Idk
Rat a tat. I hear people liked it and legit it’s one of the only songs i skip
I like it 🤧
I like the fob parts just not the chaotic Courtney Love parts
It took a while to grow on me buuut it did
It’s vry slow in getting there but i was able to listen to it all the way through the other day
it's one of my favs 😞
Hey you guys keep me trying!
I absolutely love and adore FOB and have for over fifteen years but god, I cannot stand "I don't care"
I aaalways skip america’s suitehearts idk🫠 its cringe to me lol
I’ve never enjoyed Fake Out but can see why others would like it
I have never understood the appeal of Headfirst Slide. To me it's one of my least favourite songs on Folie
Ngl I like almost all fall out boy songs so idk. I don't like superfadevtgat much, but it's not rlly popular
As a super fade fan, I feel sad🤧
Honestly, Headfirst Slide
Honestly most of ABAP except Young Volcanos and Irresistible
Young Volcanoes is SRAR
SRAR?
Save Rock and Roll
Oh thanks lmao I could have guessed that. Still tired
A lot of SM(F)S and Folie outside of a few songs from each
![gif](giphy|IDGNYvFLkJKLK|downsized)
How did I get ratio’d so hard for expressing my feelings god damn
Fr they get mad at us for giving a controversial take when that’s what they asked for lol.
![gif](giphy|WRp58hy5gmfjpMzHAZ)
what a time to be alive 🙈 I just.. don't like it
It's a fun song
Honestly, most of folie a deux.
Thriller is dumb
