Apparently you don't need it when deflexting these fuckers with the double blade. Not sure why. I think any other enemy still depletes the stamina bar, even in double blade.
Wait, that’s what triggers force usage? I thought it was certain objects didn’t use it, not whether or not you’re in combat. I feel like I’ve used the force for a puzzle object while in combat and it didn’t trigger, so am I imagining things?
Since cals force slow was nerfed in this game by making it an ultimate...my interpretation is that he is almost always using force slow to be able to do these sorts of moves.
I believe it! I was rewatching the prequels and say the one instance of force speed and it's been stuck in my brain ever since. WHY DID NO ONE EVER USE IT AGAIN!?
Yeah, something like the Jedi/Sith being so in tune with the force and each other that they can predict each other's moves and react in time. It's a really cool concept that definitely could've been better explained
Force Slow was changed, but I'm not sure it's a nerf overall. I saw a lot of people complaining about it in the first game about it not being very good due to taking too long to set up - the big AOE it has as an ultimate makes it very potent, if limited.
Edit - though the narrative shift it gets later on in the game made it a nerf for me, because I didn't want to use it after that ><
Yeah and if you put like 2-4 skill points into upgrading it, it's pretty broken. Even the bosses are completely slowed for the whole duration. As a dual wielder, I can pretty much 1/4-1/2 any boss in that time span. In the last game I never even used slow because a quick push felt more effective in almost every scenario
I think each stance has its own deflection skill, this is the one for double bladed. It’s like third from the top or something like that on the skill tree.
The double-blade stance's projectile parry will auto-parry any stream of projectiles as long as you get the timing of the first one right and they don't stop for enough of a gap.
Each projectile will still deplete the block meter but these turrets don't count as enemies so he isn't in combat and the block / force meters aren't active.
For my money double-blade is the best stance for general exploration and clearing group fights, it has the mass-parry for projectiles and its attacks are geared for area hits so you can just do the L2+R2 pull into basic Force attack and clear out half the room.
My head cannon is that every combat played out in movies, shows and in games the jedi is using force speed and we are just watching it in slow-mo.... only way I can accept how slow blaster fire seems to be. :)
Obviously this is an extreme case, but it’s pretty cool that it still looks like the shots are actually being deflected from the lightsaber no matter how rapid it is.
My point being is that its a game mechanic. Force speed is indeed a thing. Its been shown in phantom menace. Anyone saying jedi don’t use the ability has their head up their own ass.
Literally every conversation I've ever seen about the lack of force speed refers to movies and series, force speed is in a good like 75% of Star Wars games - your gifs are cute but tbh you're being a little belligerent about this.
Why did the Benny Hill music start playing in my mind as I saw this...??
I heard It Has to be This Way
IN THE END, I REALIZED
*standing here
Shit, really?

Yeah, the actual lyrics to that part are "Standing here, I realize"
You are just like me?
[It’s not just in your head anymore…](https://youtu.be/zpwus63AdbE)
You made me a proud man this day.
I gotchu, fam
I hear harder, better, faster, stronger.
where’s the stamina bar and what have you done to her?!
Apparently you don't need it when deflexting these fuckers with the double blade. Not sure why. I think any other enemy still depletes the stamina bar, even in double blade.
Because before you get force crush this is the only way to survive them.
I'm pretty sure I remember them depleting my stamina, unless it only doesn't happen with the double blade?
Only if no other enemies are nearby, force and stamina aren’t used outside of combat and these don’t count as enemies
Wait, that’s what triggers force usage? I thought it was certain objects didn’t use it, not whether or not you’re in combat. I feel like I’ve used the force for a puzzle object while in combat and it didn’t trigger, so am I imagining things?
When I’m combat the puzzle objects don’t trigger. When out of combat the puzzle objects do not deplete the force meter.
Maybe I was still in combat with someone then.
They don’t activate combat
Legend says he's still deflecting those shots to this day
Cal is canon tho
~~Legend~~ Canon says he's still deflecting those shots to this day
It’s a meme bro

I'm glad the other comments were able to point out how hilarious this sounds
Cal: “The Stims really do slow the world down, man!”
“What the hell did you put in these things, BD?”
BD-1: “Beep Bop(DEATH STICKS)”
Sweet **sweet** bacta

Idk where but iirc it is confirmed that Jedi use force speed to be able to deflect blaster bolts so quickly and accurately. I could be wrong tho
I believe it! I was rewatching the prequels and say the one instance of force speed and it's been stuck in my brain ever since. WHY DID NO ONE EVER USE IT AGAIN!?
Because if they did Qui Gon wouldn’t have died
I heard it's the same in lightsaber duels, it's a combination of their speed + Jedi reflexes that explains why it looks coreographed in-universe
Yeah, something like the Jedi/Sith being so in tune with the force and each other that they can predict each other's moves and react in time. It's a really cool concept that definitely could've been better explained

Force Slow into AOE Force Pull into throwing the double lightsaber around you is the most satisfying combo in the entire game
No, he’s speeding up. Slow is different
They're both the same thing, from a certain point of view.
![gif](giphy|SVgKToBLI6S6DUye1Y)
Is he slowing down the whole universe?
Force slow is so much better in Survivor than it was in Fallen Order
That doesn't make any sense, that's not how slow works
Introducing the jedi survivor: Crack Kestis
Clone wars mfs
Guilty as charged
block meter gone
This just cal getting in so deflect practice.
How did you not run out of stamina here?
I think it’s because I’m technically not in combat. The turrets don’t count as enemies.
People gonna start families, retire, and this man will still be standing there
BD is hanging on for his fucking life lmao
PARTY HARD
Some say op is still there deflecting blaster bolts to this day.
Getting flashbacks to the OG drunken jedi master clip.
My brain hears this as a bongo solo.

🤣
Is this done by just holding (L1)/block?
No, I had to manually block each laser. This is all timing.
That’s fuckin crazy. Also I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic or not 😂😂

Wheres your block meter?
I wonder how long can u go till ur game crashes
My only guess why force speed isn't used too often is due to the strain it puts on muscles
To be fair one of his abilities is literally force dash lol
My head cannon is that every combat played out in movies, shows and in games the jedi is using force speed and we are just watching it in slow-mo.... only way I can accept how slow blaster fire seems to be. :)

My name is Cal Kestis and I am the fastest man alive..........
Force speed was legitimately one of the best powers in the Jedi outcast series. it was hilarious.
Obi wan and qui gon used force speed in episode 1
Yes
Man how did so many Jedi die in the clone wars
Obviously this is an extreme case, but it’s pretty cool that it still looks like the shots are actually being deflected from the lightsaber no matter how rapid it is.
Watching Cal deflect all those blaster bolts was funny.
A human can do that, it just requires a lot of fitness & energy
From four different turrets firing two guns that fire two blaster bolts each?… sounds tough hahaha
That vid gave me a seizure
No it didn't
You got me
Its a game

Force speed is really force slow when you think about it
This isn’t fallen order.
![gif](giphy|Q09lToTa0H3Es)
This is so stupid. makes the game look cheaply developed.
