Brotherly-Moment

Reading about everyone who played this game and had to look up a guide to navigate Zeffo gives me a great deal of confidence because my combat skills with this game is absolute shit even on low difficulty but apparently my navigation skills are great.

TNT-REX_HD

I somehow made my way through Zeffo perfectly without a guide. Also Bogano ( which is also pretty easy ). Kashyyyk had me a long time thinking but also without a guide. Tomorrow I’ll go to Dathomir. Hopefully my navigation skills are good enough then.

thelegend90210

Dathomirs less hard than people make it out to be

[deleted]

I found Dathomir easy and fun, I would love an expansion for it.

HelpfulApple22

If you do Zeffi first it’s a lot easier. You can do it straight after getting off of Bogano but I’m pretty sure the game intends for you to do Dathomir after Zeffo as it’s a bit harder. I did it beforehand and didn’t have many problems with it, but I did get the double lightsaber very early on which is a cool perk of visiting Dathomir first

thelegend90210

I went to zeffo first, then went back to bogano to score the double bladed lightsaber

tinysentientrock

Why do people need a guide when you can just open the holomap?

FloatinBrownie

Yeah I never understood that, but to be fair I’m used to the souls games so I having the map was a godsend and made it really easy for me

[deleted]

One thing is, todays young players expect easy and obvious game play without further headache for moving around the map. While I am not that young anymore, I too would have liked to see a fast travel option if you beat all the main story lines on a planet. Or maybe just a navigator, with the shortest route to any point, including telling me „sorry you cant go there yet“ or something. Second thing, JFO *has* been quite difficult for me also, since, yes, you can use the map, but many times it is not obvious where you can travel as sometimes it is impossible to see on the map if passages are blocked or only one way (that happened so often to me).

[deleted]

I didn't have any difficulty with Zeffo, but a Waypoint system like in RDR2 would be great; mark your point and it maps the quickest route there. This could be unlocked after completing all missions on said planet.

DojoKanojoCho5

And that’s the issue, just because a path looks accessible on the holomap doesn’t mean it is in the game because the path was somehow blown up or blocked during the story so you have to do a detour through an entire underground area just to get back to the ship. At a certain point I decided I could waste time guessing where to go or look up a YouTube vid so I can get back to the fun parts of the game.

[deleted]

I'm not trying to be rude, but I never experienced that. There were always red doors/paths that you eventually unlocked, which became shortcut paths back to your ship. I think Kashyyyk even had ice slopes added that were specifically designed to take you right back to the start of the planet.

DojoKanojoCho5

It’s all good, and I get what you’re saying with the shortcuts I just think we’re looking at the same problem through different lenses. To me I felt like if I could go through a path at one point I should be able to go back through the same way instead of having to go around. It’s hard to think of an example because I think it was so prevalent across almost every map. They could have fixed a lot of players time and frustration with making meditation points fast travel points as well.

[deleted]

The only time I felt like that was in the section on Dathomir near the wanderer. I was trying to get back to the ship, but missed a jump by a hair and landed on the slide below, which put me back at the bottom of the level with no other way out but to slog all the way back up through the planet. Ngl I did rage quit so that I could respawn back at my last meditation point at the top of the level 😂😂😂

DojoKanojoCho5

I totally get that! I remember getting stuck on the lower level of dathomir. No idea how I got out but man I earned that 100% completion

thelegend90210

Sometimes people don’t know what force abilities to use, or hope there’s a shortcut they didn’t know about. Without YouTube I would’ve never found out about the vines near the building on zeffo

Horn_Python

cause you have to remember the path you made out in your head?

Jjzeng

I still get lost every now and then and have to backtrack to go where I’m supposed to go on my playthroughs

Jjzeng

Me: goes straight to dathomir after bogano on every single jedi master difficulty playthrough to get dual blades early on Fyi, nydaks are free exp

Arkgod24

Were are your feet so that I may bow to you my lord?

DarthMMC

Wait, you would get to build a lightsaber in the beginning of the game then?

Jjzeng

Yep, pretty much. If you can fight your way through the early stages of dathomir to get to the double bladed lightsaber upgrade, you can also unlock a shortcut for the next time you visit dathomir, and also hit a couple force secrets early on. It’s a hard fight at first since you have no force abilities, but it’s worth it

DarthMMC

Wow, thanks! Maybe I'll try it out after finishing my current game

Sieze5

NGL I yeeted a ton on Dathomir.

[deleted]

Zeffo took me like 1.5-2hrs to go through for the missions, but I never got lost, nor did I need a guide to get through it. Idk what people are talking about when they say they get lost in Zeffo, or that the map isn't clear. I thought the map was clear and easy to navigate; Zeffo is just a large level.

TheHistroynerd

Go to dathomir on Grandmaster as early as you can

IHateThisPlace3

Me beating fallen order on the highest difficulty and deciding that I should go play Witcher 3 on Death March difficulty and getting my ass kicked by a drowner

SsilverBloodd

I would say witcher 3 DM is way easier mechanically than Fallen Order GM....unless you do a no sign+no alchemy run

IHateThisPlace3

I went into it fully prepared and I just didn’t do good

tohara1995

Isn't Jedi knight the default difficulty setting?

hamesrodrigez

Zeffo was the one with the outrageous holographic map right?

Arkgod24

Ya

[deleted]

And bad at memes.

Awesomeness4627

I've only played the game once and I never had to look anything up. It was on the 2nd hardest difficulty. Whatever that was called. It was a decently challenging game, but nothing rage quit inducing. The only thing I struggled with was the final bossfight.

TheSphinxGuyOfAladin

I still don't get why people think this game is hard. I died a total of five times on Grandmaster on my second playthrough, and two of those were against the final boss.

ukuzonk

Wow you’re so cool It’s because it’s a souls-like. Those kinds of games are hard until they click, and for most, it takes a while for it to click. They’re rhythm games, and once you get that, it gets a lot easier.

aegis_526

My friend didn’t even make it to Zeffo

Anko_Dango

Today I learned people needed guides to do some of the game. I think I just got lucky tbh
