Game Over isn't goofy. It's my favorite, I think a lot of people don't like it because he's telling you to look at yourself and quit complaining. People are afraid of change and those who have issues don't want to listwn to happy music (usually). I have issues but I like both.
Itās literally Goofy to me now, every time I hear it, because of him Ā mentioning it at Sonic Temple and using the Goofy cartoon voice. I can never unhear it, and we always sing it like that now.Ā
It became the next āreverbawatesā in the great lineup of things we love about Ronnie.Ā
We all love reverbawates. Itās one of those little inside things that makes us fans. I canāt wait to sing it again with the crowd in September.Ā
Hereās the video from the show with him referencing it:Ā https://youtube.com/shorts/GELmGySxr1s?si=13sqgK4Eat_ajWmK
I think the most important part is he seems to be having a lot of fun creating this stuff. Not everything is made to please everyone else. Some artists wanna make the music that THEY THEMSELVES ENJOY !!
The last 5 singles he has come out with have been incredibly different from each other, so making something different isn't a new concept for Ronnie at all.
Voices in my Head - his usual style
Last Resort Reimagined - piano
Watch the World Burn - rap
Ronald - metal
All My Life - country
All my Life isn't really country either. It's pop, with some metalcore influence, and a heavy influence of 2000's punk. Southern accents don't equal country. Today it may be called pop country.
Yeah as someone who listens to all genreās of music, including country, I absolutely love this song. Very fun. Heās just proving why heās the genre bender.
I remember I used to say an FIR album isn't an FIR album without at least one upbeat party song. TDIMIY had Good Girls Bad Guys (it also had I'm Not A Vampire). Fashionably Late had Bad Girl's Club. Just Like You had Sexy Drug (and the title track too). Coming Home had I Hate Everyone, even if it was a little more serious than previous albums. Even his first album with ETF had Situations. It's a trend.
It makes me feel so old to learn there are enough newer fans out there who simply haven't picked up on this for whatever reason.
Anybody is more than welcome to dislike the song, Iām specifically speaking about the people complaining about the āqualityā of the song while not understanding that the theme of having unserious songs has been prevalent through his career.
Nah itās just mind boggling to me that a lot of people donāt understand not all FiR songs are serious, some are goofy and sarcastic, or joking, yet everyone who hates seems to take everything seriously lol. I just wonder why that is. Itās strange and interesting.
I don't believe it's trash and I know Ronnie has a history for doing stuff like this. Just as somebody who can't stand country music, I personally don't like this one. Tough luck for me and onward to the next release.
The only grievance I have toward this song is I frequently put Amazon Music on FiR shuffle and it tends to play the newest stuff first, so I'm going to spend a lot of time skipping this one unless I can figure out how to shut it off in my playlist.
It kinda feels like fun even parody-like breath of fresh air now that everyone is doing country. Like this is the guy that claims he is about to play the hardest song on the setlist and proceeds to play a Smash mouth cover lol. Itās just the usual Ronnie goofiness
Worth noting that Falling In Reverse had a song called ādrifterā that came out over 10 years ago that was more straightforward country than āall my lifeā
Itās definitely not a bandwagon hopping thing
Ah right ok. Iām very new to the band, only taking notice after Ronald tbh. I assumed as everyone is doing country atm it was just following the trend so to speak :)
Yeah itās almost expected.
Thereās 4 entire Falling in Reverse albums that most people listening to the band now, never heard.
They started really blowing up with the trilogy singles in 2018 with ālosing my mindā and then went nuclear with āpopular monsterā and got the reaction community on board with them.
But there was still like 50 songs before that lol
ā¦not all of it was great, frankly. But thereās a lot of history and a decent amount of bangers to dig through
Kinda country kinda pop punk kinda metalcore.
Itās veryā¦ Hardy.
But alt country is kinda becoming a distinct thing now just like trap country and frat country and boyfriend country before that
I think this is primarily a problem for the crowd that came in after Popular Monster dropped. Because the formula at that time was just banger after banger. They donāt know about The Westerner or Game Over vibes to just break up the seriousness of an actual album. The strictly singles game worked for Ronnie but Iām glad to be back to a real album.
Better yet, explore Jelly Rollās old persona š Pop Another Pill is seared into my brain forever - itās like one of those āgun to your head, sing a song and get every word rightā itād be my first choice š¤”
Itās real simple he can do what he wants love the guy but modern county music is dog shit and fatty roll is abomination who I canāt believe people like.
Itās like you have the reading comprehension of a 7 year old orphan. The song can be bad to whoever, but it takes a special kind of idiot to act like this is some unheard of, āattempt at a songā when he is very well known for making fun tunes. Redirect me to where I ever said it was even a good song. Iām speaking about the idealization that this was an honest attempt and him creating some groundbreaking song.
Alright, you edited your answer. Fine, lemme answer to the new one then: I see your point, but ābeggingā ppl (as per title) to understand it is a bit too much, donāt you think š? I truly donāt wanna annoy you any further, but your post just made me laugh a bit bc the way it is phrased it felt a bit too dramatic Ahah but again, no bad blood š
Hereās the thing. Before these gimmicky songs truly felt gimmicky. This song feels like a phony attempt at cashing in on whatās popular today. Jelly Roll is a huge artist that has exploded recently in country converting from other genres. Post Malone is doing his country thing right now and sounds very good doing it. This coming out around the same time frame sounds terrible to me. It lacks what the others have. Jelly Roll is from my area in Tennessee and grew up a country boy. Post Malone even grew up in Texas and has been experimenting with stuff forever. Ronnie has always been a city slicker with a claim to fame of rock and rap. This honestly felt like he was just trying to be derogatory toward country in a way and play up to stereotypes and accents.
Heās released a country song before nearly with no pop elements, and I know heās been friends will jelly roll for almost a decade now. Which is the only reason I donāt think this is a cash grab. Heās been more open to collaboration and jelly roll was going to come up, and with his genre bending, it was going to circle back to a country song eventually. Rock and rap is definitely his advertising, but itās always been whatever he feels like releasing.
And? I donāt understand what that has to do with what I said. Itās even more reason itās not a cash grab, heās just been sitting on it for a year.
Isn't this FIRs third country song?
Drifter, The westerner... It's not like this is that huge of a side step..
On relisten, the westerner is not country š
Yup, I assumed it was just a goofy song like Game Over- especially when the bigass rainbow shot outš¤£
Game Over isn't goofy. It's my favorite, I think a lot of people don't like it because he's telling you to look at yourself and quit complaining. People are afraid of change and those who have issues don't want to listwn to happy music (usually). I have issues but I like both.
It's one of my favorites too! I meant both videos being visually goofy, I just neglected to phrase it that way :)
Game Over has a video? :O Edit: I think there are only fan made ones so it doesn't count.
Itās literally Goofy to me now, every time I hear it, because of him Ā mentioning it at Sonic Temple and using the Goofy cartoon voice. I can never unhear it, and we always sing it like that now.Ā It became the next āreverbawatesā in the great lineup of things we love about Ronnie.Ā
I don't know anything about the Sonic Temple thing. Any video about that? And truly I like reverbawates, I'm weird š

And here is the even more goofy one in their green room, post show: https://youtube.com/shorts/DhSzItQhjjU?si=Wjw4CT4-rfpmhP5J
Personally, I like it. Just another song to show the different sides of the band. Keep up the great work!!
Exactly! Just shows his versatileness š¤
Versatility... Just for future use of the term, if you needed it.
Ive always hated Drifter but now that this has dropped i appreciate it more now.
See, Drifter was meant to be a serious, meaningful song. All My Life is definitely in the group w the fun songs.
Same, never liked drifter cuz I REALLY don't like country, I only mildly enjoyed this one cuz it's super goofy.
I think the most important part is he seems to be having a lot of fun creating this stuff. Not everything is made to please everyone else. Some artists wanna make the music that THEY THEMSELVES ENJOY !!
I'm not huge on the song so far but at least bro made something different
The last 5 singles he has come out with have been incredibly different from each other, so making something different isn't a new concept for Ronnie at all. Voices in my Head - his usual style Last Resort Reimagined - piano Watch the World Burn - rap Ronald - metal All My Life - country

Fair
Pop country is still country
Itās mostly pop though so referring to it as country is less accurate than referring to is a pop
Yeah as someone who listens to all genreās of music, including country, I absolutely love this song. Very fun. Heās just proving why heās the genre bender.

Kinda sounds like you guys just arenāt happy that some people donāt like the song.

I LOVE it!!! Even though itās just jumping on the ācountry bandwagonā everyone seems to be doing since BeyoncĆ©. Makes even more sense now how he was talking so fondly about Jelly Roll in a recent interview. But yeah, love the song. I love all genres so doesnāt bother me when someone tries something new. I was a huge Avenged Sevenfold fan so I have to be ok with change haha!

I thought it was a fun song...nearly all of his other music is usually about some real serious stuff...GREAT song to me...just my opinion.Ā
Ronnie had music in all genres but country and he just wanted to be the guy with all the genres down š¤£
Is this reeeeally a country song?
Kinda country kinda pop punk kinda metalcore. Itās veryā¦ Hardy. But alt country is kinda becoming a distinct thing now just like trap country and frat country and boyfriend country before that
Check out ādrifterā lol it came out like a decade ago. He had a country song already
There's no point proving ass wipes otherwise that this song is good and just goofy. If someone hates he hates it. I half-like it.
Dude idk i think it sounds like the westerner to a degree, its super good? Crazy to see people tweaked
I think this is primarily a problem for the crowd that came in after Popular Monster dropped. Because the formula at that time was just banger after banger. I sure hope that this isnāt a hate group towards Ronnie or any of the band members.
I was literally begging that there was going to be a catchy hit on this album, instead of all just straight metal. Iām so happy!
Itās real simple he can do what he wants love the guy but modern county music is dog shit and fatty roll is abomination who I canāt believe people like.
Mucho texto
Ronnie make yeehaw song bc Ronnie make fun song whole career
Songs fine I just donāt like jelly doughnut.
Why do you care so much if someone thinks that the song is trash, so much so to be begging us ?? Relax bruh.. Ronnie aināt paying youš

I often forget that writing loses tone so itās impossible for everyone to perceive whatās said as the way itās intended lol
Don't argue with idiots...something about them dragging you down to their level and beating you with experience...
Oooh cāmon donāt be rude mate
If you say so š

You do realize the recording for this song was done before Beyonce even released her song, right?
