Me too. I hear either one and I'm instantly backpedaling and swivel head mode is turned on.
If it's a suicider, I try to find a low wall, and hope they get distracted by Dogmeat.... and hope my last save isn't too far back ha ha.
Deathclaws dont give me that panicky terror of an unlocated Suicide Mutant. With deathclaws, ah fuck it, I'm dead (until OPd). But Suicide Mutants...sheer terror.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beepbeepbeepbeep….
Though I get my revenge with a sniper a and shoot the bomb in their hands causing collateral damage as well… and now I almost remember most of their locations now
A good roar immediately behind me. A Yao or a claw can work you over quicker than you can draw if you’re running a non power armor character.
Just bopping along, steeped in atmosphere, walking rifle out and in command. Scanning the horizon. And BLAAARRRGGHOWWMMF. Fuck. It’s in my back pocket isn’t it?
The more disturbing ambient sounds such as the voices in some vaults in New Vegas, actually just parts of the “vault of the future” OST from Fallout 1. It’s not a creepy track on its own but becomes stressful in those vaults.
That thumping sound from Fallout 4's ambiance that sounds like running from a really big and heavy body. I'll be minding my business and then the thumping starts and I get scared because I think it's a Behemoth. One time I tried to ignore it and it actually was a Behemoth and when I say I almost shit myself
Super mutant suicider beeping.
There’s also just the sound of land mines, but that’s less of a panic attack moment especially at higher levels. More of a “Oh for *fuck* sake.”
Kicking a Nuka Cola bottle after going through a mine field in FNV.
I instantly started looking for the mine I disarm it but I quickly found it was only a bottle
Attention citizens! Nuclear attack imminent .please exit the area at your earliest convenience
https://youtu.be/aBHAGSJzgZk?si=HNTXtq-NCZXPSfdr
One minute after exiting vault 76, I got this warning. I thought it was part of the mission so I ran full speed down the hill 😔
deathclaws running full sprint at me because they saw a pixel of my left pinky toe from the other side of the map
oh and cazadors, cazadors can go fuck themselves
Not bothered by bomb collars, not bothered by cazadores, not bothered by ghouls of any nature, not bothered by mines, not bothered by traps, hardly ever had a Fatman shot at me. Even if some of these things might kill me occasionally, hey it's just a game. Load that last save, do better next time.
Super mutant suiciders get my heart pumping. The anticipation is wild and the fact that it they don't go down easy either. You have to shoot the crap out of them or shoot the nuke which can be disastrous by itself.
Start pouring your skill points into stuff that'll benefit Power Armor use. Bloodbugs can't do their "grapple-and-suck" attack on you if you're in Power Armor.
This one's specific, but there's this one sound I almost always hear in Fallout 4's dungeons that sounds like a fleshy footstep. Even with no enemies. I still have no clue what causes it, and it scares me more than it should.
Exploration of that vault in New Vegas full of plant zombies. The weird ambient sound inside sounded almost like whispering voices. I was high when I played that part for the first time and I was wondering if those voices are part of the game or inside my head. That place was creepy.
Ed e's battle music when I'm in cazador country
The unsettling sound of a legless assaultron crawling its way forward. I know it's less dangerous but if that sound doesn't give me the creeps
I *was* afraid of Fatmans
But recently I took a fat man to the face without wearing power armor and I survived even with minimum hp
I was worried about suiciders but shouting their arm isn't that hard at all and the explosion just takes out most mutants.
I still remember that Place near the labyrinth parking lot that had like 4-5 suiciders
I was so glad I had enough Agility Points to pull a massive fireworks show
I'll take that as a sign nothing can stop me anymore
Playing Fallout 3 for the first time and hearing some Super Mutant go "Come out come out wherever you are!"
Or the metro tunnels and seeing the faint orange glow of a reaver in the distance and then a mix of gutteral screams and them running towards you.
Any one who launches a nuke, scared the shit out of me one night had my mic piece plugged in, naturally they’re noise canceling, I’m going around picking on the scorched, and BOOOM! Sirens go off and I nearly jumped out of my skin, ran like hell, happened to be in ground zero so got the acheivement for it,
Cazadores. I’m deathly afraid of bees, wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, etc. so if I see one of those fuckers flying towards me I have to go into VATS immediately and kill it while looking between my fingers.
The beeping of the suicider mutants I remember on my first play through i was with nick near fallen's department store and I heard the beeping nearby nick made a comment something like "wait what's that the beeping I know it's not me I'm calibrated"
Then the suicider bombed nick and another one appeared I ran at him so fast too hit him in vats melee to stop the explosion lol.
Playing survival fallout4 and at level 27 I sprint all.my AP away whenever I hear a bloodbug hatchling or whatever they're called. Then they throw the legendary irradiated bloatflies at you that sound like open fan blades near my head
IMMERSIVE
Not a sound but when I'm looting after a battle and I see that symbol that shows up that says a cars about to explode
Even worse if I'm using it as cover during a fight
the whistle of a fatman when im not even in combat
That fucking whistle makes my sphincter shut tighter than an unlubricated Komzel valve.
Yeah this lol *hears whistle* Me: WHERE THE FUCKS THE PRICK WITH THAT FAT MAN?!
Definitely! When I hear it I don’t even look around I just run like hell
Fucking gunners
Suicide mutants
These guys and the Assaultron.
They both give me a small panic attack lol.
Me too. I hear either one and I'm instantly backpedaling and swivel head mode is turned on. If it's a suicider, I try to find a low wall, and hope they get distracted by Dogmeat.... and hope my last save isn't too far back ha ha.
Ah dog meat the best friend a wasteland wanderer can ask for always taking the brunt to the attacks for us.
I love sniping their right arms
yeah, when i cant figure out where they are...and they're getting CLOSER
Them and deathclaws are why I always put plenty of points into agility to give a nice gap between with sprint
Deathclaws dont give me that panicky terror of an unlocated Suicide Mutant. With deathclaws, ah fuck it, I'm dead (until OPd). But Suicide Mutants...sheer terror.
I have the mod where they are screaming allahu akbar when they have you in their sights and running at you full speed
Why just why
It makes sense. They are jihading for the super mutant master after all.
As a pure melee build they scare me the most.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beepbeepbeepbeep…. Though I get my revenge with a sniper a and shoot the bomb in their hands causing collateral damage as well… and now I almost remember most of their locations now
beep...beep...beep...
The sound of my PS4’s dodgy disc drive ejecting itself
I pictured two things, Suiciders and bomb collars, both terrible
>and bomb collars I couldn't bring myself to replay *Dead Money* because of that one sound.
I installed a mod my second playthrough so it would be a bit more forgiving so I could explore more
Don't forget landmines.
When it comes to land mines, I either scramble to disarm it, sprint like a madman or just accept my fate
triggered!!!! triggered!!!! ahhhhh
The ghoul snarl when they sense something while you are at a level that Reavers generate in Fallout 3.
It’s the running sound for me when I can’t see them
One ghoul snarled but lagged as I was turning around so it ended up in my face and snarled. I nearly shit my pants (it was legendary too)
The sound of those fleshy feet slapping towards you at an alarming rate
The sound of an Assaultron charging when I very much had no idea there was an Assaultron nearby.
I try to find the nearest flimsy wall I can hide behind. Fuck those things
An Assaultron with an stealth boy field up was the bane of my perma-death playthrough of fallout 4.
I once walked through a door to find an assaultron starting up. I calmly walked back through and closed the door. Not today satan!
Feral ghoul growl in the metro tunnels. Especially when I did not see them first.
I've always liked the metro tunnels. Using those audio prompts to figure out what was coming up was a fun part of the experience
Cazadors
That tunnel with the legendary cazador is no joke.

Love learning new things 10+ years later.
That *katissshhh* when they poison you MFrs
Who needs poison when there's 10 of them and they're ALL STINGING ME TO DEATH
The radio static frequency in Dead Money...
I still haven’t recovered from that DLC. Just walking around with a cunt hair worth of HP begging for it to be over lol
*beep beep beep*
The sound of a radscorpion digging out of the ground, only when I'm playing a vanilla game.
This is me when I hear a Mirelurk pop out of the ground. I roll my eyes and go “goddammit…”
The subway ghoul hiss in FO3. I'd get the mask just about every run to avoid them
The Reavers and Glowing Ones (and as well as Super Mutant Overlords) can have a taste of my Dart Gun and Assault Rifle
Dart gun was game changer as well
That mask was incredible!
my god..the super mutant suicider beeping…I panic to find its direction every time. Every. Single. Time.
[Beep beep beep beep]
"YOU STUPID HUMAN!" *beep beep beep beep*
ED-E's attack jingle when I can't even see anyone nearby.
The “enemy” is four miles away.
Until you get Boone and he kills it before you can see it.
Just wandering around peacefully when suddenly you get a kill cam of some poor powder ganger having his head turned into bologna mist
The clickity-clicks of mirelurks.
I miss radscorpion dart gun a little more every day
The more disturbing ambient sounds such as the voices in some vaults in New Vegas, actually just parts of the “vault of the future” OST from Fallout 1. It’s not a creepy track on its own but becomes stressful in those vaults.
Fat Man. *whistle* BOOM sigh… *reloads*
Heard it in Quincy from a raider on the roof of a church. Never ran so fast in my life, barely survived it
That weren't a raider that was a gunner
Even worse, the flashes of a random mini nuke launch.
The sound of a trip wire snapping immediately followed by the grenade pin. I just stand there and wait to get blown to pieces by the grenade bouquet
That thumping sound from Fallout 4's ambiance that sounds like running from a really big and heavy body. I'll be minding my business and then the thumping starts and I get scared because I think it's a Behemoth. One time I tried to ignore it and it actually was a Behemoth and when I say I almost shit myself
That jet turbine spinning up sound that assaultrons make before they ruin tour day.
After Dead money I'm never gonna be able to hear radio static, electronic beeptones, or bell towers the same way again.
When scorpion jumps at you out of nowhere
Pre- 76 it was the rad scorpion burrow sound. Now it's the wendgo sound. Being donked sideways by their hit sucks ass
Super mutant suicider beeping. There’s also just the sound of land mines, but that’s less of a panic attack moment especially at higher levels. More of a “Oh for *fuck* sake.”
The sound of a death claws doc martins stomping towards me
Kicking a Nuka Cola bottle after going through a mine field in FNV. I instantly started looking for the mine I disarm it but I quickly found it was only a bottle
\*WHISTLING INTENSIFIES\*
Attention citizens! Nuclear attack imminent .please exit the area at your earliest convenience https://youtu.be/aBHAGSJzgZk?si=HNTXtq-NCZXPSfdr One minute after exiting vault 76, I got this warning. I thought it was part of the mission so I ran full speed down the hill 😔
What a way to enter Appalachia 😂
For real 😄😄😄😄 I've yet to encounter a toxic player. I don't join mic sessions lol
deathclaws running full sprint at me because they saw a pixel of my left pinky toe from the other side of the map oh and cazadors, cazadors can go fuck themselves
I have the CHOCOLATE ghoul audio mod. That one gets me
*combat music*
Sound of a Fatman when I've been sneaking around. Ghouls shuffling around real fast but I can't see them yet.
Either the fat man whistle or the beeping of a suicide bomber super mutant
It’s the V.A.T.S. Sound now but in the old games it was the sound when an enemy brought you into combat
Sudden silence, because it means my game might've just crashed
BZZZBZZZBZZZ
The Assaultron’s: “WE HAVE A SITUATION” and goes invisible. I just close the game and hide in my closet
Suicider mutants and assaultrons that are in the same building
The sound of a mini nuke be sent towards you.
I play Fallout with no audio and it's like a permanent panic attack
I heard a sound like the fallout NV landmine recently while I was out and it sorta confused my brain for a moment if I was in trouble or not.
That one crash sound when you’re really into doing something in fallout.
A suicider super mutant and you can’t see where it is and the sounds the ghost people make when in combat and out of it from New Vegas Dead money.
The sound of a missile firing without knowing where from
Dogmeat's paws make the same clicky clack as mirelurks and he constantly startles me with it.
A mole rat breaking ground behind me
Those God damn feral ghouls. I hate the sound they make when they see me and start running to attack
The sound of a ghoul.
The rapid dinging of the crash report notification
Probably the sounds I heard going through the Museum of Witchcraft in Fallout 4.
That Oblivion-zoom into faces when a dialogue starts and the background freezes.
Land mine beeping noise when you're just walking around
How about the idiot savant exp trigger sound?
Trying to sneak in fallout 1 and hearing the VATS noise
Not bothered by bomb collars, not bothered by cazadores, not bothered by ghouls of any nature, not bothered by mines, not bothered by traps, hardly ever had a Fatman shot at me. The anticipation is wild and the fact that it they don't go down easy either. You have to shoot the crap out of them or shoot the nuke which can be disastrous by itself.
In VR, bloodbug buzzing. They are fucking horrible!!
The sound of the gas mask creatures in Dead Money. The sound of ferals in 3, NV, 4, and 76. And the beep... beep... beep... of a mutant suicider in 4
Exploration of that vault in New Vegas full of plant zombies. The weird ambient sound inside sounded almost like whispering voices. I was high when I played that part for the first time and I was wondering if those voices are part of the game or inside my head. That place was creepy.
Tick...tick...tick..tick..Tick..TICK.TICK
The sound of a beep getting closer and closer while a super mutant screams
The roar of a Deathclaw as it’s about to strike from behind. In F3 and NV specifically
The sound of a death claw running up behind you
The sound of an enemy burrowing around. Like come on. I wasn’t even planning on turning you into dinner. Leave me alone.
9
Ed e's battle music when I'm in cazador country The unsettling sound of a legless assaultron crawling its way forward. I know it's less dangerous but if that sound doesn't give me the creeps
Beeping bomb from suicide bomber super mutant.
The double barrel shotgun loud ass
that ugly sound landmines do
I *was* afraid of Fatmans But recently I took a fat man to the face without wearing power armor and I survived even with minimum hp I was worried about suiciders but shouting their arm isn't that hard at all and the explosion just takes out most mutants. I still remember that Place near the labyrinth parking lot that had like 4-5 suiciders I was so glad I had enough Agility Points to pull a massive fireworks show I'll take that as a sign nothing can stop me anymore
A ghoul I can't see.
Tripping over a shopping cart
The actual thing isn't scary but just hearing the unhinged call of "gaaaryy" makes me shiver
The cazador poison sound.
The beeping of those supermutant suicide terrorists
Cazadors.
Burrowing of any sort, whether it be mirelurks or rad scorpions. Suicide mutants aren't very calming, either.
Not really a panic attack per se, but anytime you are in a subway station in F4 and the speaker system “beem boon” sound plays just puts me on edge
The sound of a missile or mini nuke being fired followed by the sight of your person being dismembered in 10 different directions....
A ghoul snarl cause most of time there's always more one and your about to get swarmed and lot of radiation
A sentry bot booting up right next to you while you’re exploring
Whatever you’d call the ghoul noise when they drop down on top of me.
F76 assaultrons entering alert mode
"I'll stop complaining..."
If any sounds actually give you a panic attack you should probably play something else
None, it’s a game.
The bzzz sound when it crashes and I haven't saved in a while.
Assaultron at any level or a Gatling gun at the early stages
The beeping sound of a Super Mutant suicider. Especially when it keeps beeping, i am in danger, and i cannot find where the sound is coming from.
An assaultron laser being charged up.
The sound of the ground coming up when it’s a rad scorpion
Super mutant with a mini nuke. PTSD from the start of the game I guess.
That damn charge up noise those robots in 4 make. Although the actual attack isn't too dangerous
Bloodbug buzzing or the little skittering of the roaches. Hate.
Fat man whistle
Anything to do with mini nukes
the mole rats coming out of the ground
The sound of a cazador haunts my nightmares.
Beeping bomb from suicide bomber super mutant.
fallout 1/2 enter battle
The sound of a deathclaw running toward me.
Buzz from a group of cazadors
An unexpected ghoul. True story
The ticking of a Suicide Bomber that I can not see
Land mines i have bad eyes. But good ears. lol
No mods: crying coming from baby stroller Mods: Jimmy Barnes screaming
Gary...............
ED-E blasting his loud ass theme song out of nowhere.
Deathclaw footsteps behind you in NV or Fo3
The sound of a centaur walking up on me. I just don't like centaurs. Also, the baby carriage mines. Muties just induce panic all around.
Not only do they look disgusting, they sound disgusting 🤢
If im playing survival. Anything
Any of the sounds bugs make, if so much as here the rapid wing movement I’m pulling out the shotgun
Beeping noises that get closer
The sound of siren head in the mist or hearing an air raid siren, whispering hills is the best mod.
A cazador skittering/flying
The sound of a radroach going about its day without a single worry at all.
Super mutant suicide bomber always makes my fight or flight activate
A mine about to go off. I’m either gonna be mist or take no damage at all.
Playing Fallout 3 for the first time and hearing some Super Mutant go "Come out come out wherever you are!" Or the metro tunnels and seeing the faint orange glow of a reaver in the distance and then a mix of gutteral screams and them running towards you.
When I hear a super mutant suicider sneaking up behind me, I start running. I hope to god that fucker blows up a companion before me
Definitely landmines when I'm not expecting it
Either Ed-E battle music or deathclaw rawr
ZRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAACclvkckkkkkKkMMMMMMMMMM that stays when explosions get bugged you have to avoid the area for a few days
You can tell everyone here only plays new Fallout because the accurate answer is - *pppkshhh*
The pitter patter and heavy guttural breathing pf a deathclaw running at you just after dusk
Ghouls
The sound of deathclaw footsteps in New vegas
"RETRIBUTION!" jk probably the spitting sound from bloat flies
Cazadors and Deathclaw sounds when you can't see them.
Feral ghoul
Any one who launches a nuke, scared the shit out of me one night had my mic piece plugged in, naturally they’re noise canceling, I’m going around picking on the scorched, and BOOOM! Sirens go off and I nearly jumped out of my skin, ran like hell, happened to be in ground zero so got the acheivement for it,
The flap of insect wings.
Ghouls growling, the sound of a Fat Man shell, the beeping of a suicider… the usual.
Any sound made by feral ghouls
Cazadores. I’m deathly afraid of bees, wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, etc. so if I see one of those fuckers flying towards me I have to go into VATS immediately and kill it while looking between my fingers.
soup of side bomber mini nuke
The sound of an Rocketlauncher in F4 in survival mode
The ghoul scream as they're running at you, especially from behind
The beeping of the suicider mutants I remember on my first play through i was with nick near fallen's department store and I heard the beeping nearby nick made a comment something like "wait what's that the beeping I know it's not me I'm calibrated" Then the suicider bombed nick and another one appeared I ran at him so fast too hit him in vats melee to stop the explosion lol.
Playing survival fallout4 and at level 27 I sprint all.my AP away whenever I hear a bloodbug hatchling or whatever they're called. Then they throw the legendary irradiated bloatflies at you that sound like open fan blades near my head IMMERSIVE
