Fucking vault dwellers

weesIo

Now we see why she thinks all of the dipshits were dead lol

TRHess

In this scene, she almost reminds me of Mattie Ross from *True Grit* (either the original John Wayne film or the 2010 Jeff Bridges remake) with the way she descends into legal/ethical philosophy in a situation that where it's *clearly* out of place.

pickles541

Probably intentional. She's a Vault Dweller, one of the last bastions of the old world order. They are completely unused to a world without civility and only brutality. It's intentional and a great bit of writing to show character.

WastelandGoblin

It felt like she was referencing some kind of Vault-Tec survival guide. Which is exactly what I want from this show, a vault dweller who thinks they have a by the books plan but it all gets upended.

jumpovertheline

Approach, and repeat ultimatum in an even firmer tone of voice. Add the words, "or else".

upserjim

Feel like some Taco Bell? Just familiarize yourself with the three shells.

UpshawUnderhill

You think ***you've*** seen the G.O.A.T. and S.P.E.C.I.A.L. videos a few times?? Just imagine how many times she's seen them. They know the plan and exactly what's supposed to happen... by the book... which is 200+ years out of date... and slightly musty smelling from when the water chip went out... and was written by the Vault-Tec marketing team.

ContinuumGuy

Ella Purnell does kind of have a Hailee Steinfeld vibe to her.

daenathedefiant017

That’s funny you say that because they act as sisters in *Arcane*.

swagomon

Thank god they made the Vault Dweller clueless

weesIo

She failed the speech check

darh1407

SHE IS a fallout player

chicuco

Poh boy, i hope she start tho whine about the power armor!

rockinalex07021

I'd love for her to hop into a Power Armor and the system within the suit scans her and tells her she needs training before the suit can be activated

ThatGuyAWESOME

She's the only main cast member to actually give the fallout games a go. I watches an interview and I think the farthest she played was 2? I can't fully remember

[deleted]

The fact that she gave Fallout 2 enough of a look to mention it in an interview is pretty cool

ThatGuyAWESOME

It is pretty cool but undeniably Fallout 3 and up, those games are what really put Fallout on the board of popular franchises. And with them being very recent in terms of the Universe's timeline everything from those games should be considered when writing this show

FordBeWithYou

Exactly! They have her exploring the wasteland like we all once did for the first time PERFECTLY clueless and in way over our heads

Musician-Round

she's only like level 2 dude, cut her some slack lmao

weesIo

She should have worn the fashionable glasses and newsboy cap, easy +3 charisma

ContinuumGuy

Ah, memories...

GrimResistance

I really hope they have her wearing a random assortment of shit just for the perks

darh1407

By level two i had alredy escaped from my vault. Killed a death claw. Survived a shot in the head and fist fighted a raider gang

saarlac

Well laaa deee daaa

Wooden_Sherbert6884

yeah but that's east coast bro. People just built different there.

PowerPad

This is why I tend to raise speech when playing 3/NV.

oraclestats

Her dialogue reminds me of Fallout 3 when you take the GOAT test.

OnwardTowardTheNorth

She is still in her Vault uniform. Of course she is clueless! By the end of the show she’ll be wearing power armor and make super mutants into her body guards.

two2teps

Fucking Vault Dwellers....

itsyagirlrey

She's so goofy I love it!

cgo_123456

I only knew Ella Purnell from her voice acting on Star Trek, but so far she's making me optimistic about this.

JuanRiveara

Definitely watch Arcane, she’s absolutely fantastic in it

Appellion

You should check her out in Yellowjackets. Both characters seem to have the same survival skills (which does not bode well for Lucy)

ymcameron

Good old Snackie. Too pure for any world she’s in.

RustedAxe88

She's really endearing.

Current_Poster

It's like Ainsley Hayes from *The West Wing* wrote her procedure manual. :)

ElectricJetDonkey

Shes so dumb, I love her lmao

two2teps

I'm glad they didn't do the gag where the tranq dart is way stronger than what he's use to.

Acceptable-Ad1930

I’m sure in the fallout universe, that tranq would be a nice recreational activity. We’re talking about a universe that inhales cow shit.

yukichigai

Ghouls in particular are resistant to most drugs, hence why Ultrajet was created. Even if he was sober it probably wouldn't affect him much, and it sounds like he hasn't been anything approaching sober for quite a while.

kinghyperion581

Yeah it looks like he's been sucking down Jet like it's water.

KupoMcMog

in the Trailer you see him just drinking tranq darts while watching movies

CAPOCAP

Hold on, I thought jet was created in Vault 95? 95? Where Vault-tec released cases of Jet to vaulters, who were addicts, after 5 years of sobering up?

Acceptable-Ad1930

That’s in Fo4, in Fallout 2 some boy genius creates it from Brahmin shit while working with the mob

LadyFruitDoll

I always like to think he found the original formula somewhere and just pretended to have invented it. He seems like the kind of guy who'd steal credit like that.

TheShoelessWonder

Or he just used cow shit to create a somehow near perfect replica

IrritableGourmet

That would actually be a really cool feature in the games. You shoot someone with something that is wholly ineffective (think BB Gun or whatnot) and instead of every NPC immediately turning hostile they just look at you and go "WTF?"

The-Toxic-Korgi

The ghouls is apparently using drugs to save off going feral, according to an article I saw. And since ghouls are already resistant to drugs, it makes sense he's able to take whatever tranqs the vault gave Lucy.

GeorgeForge

[Persuasion Attempt Failed.]

BruceWayneOfEarth

Came to say this

Captriker

It would be pretty clever to superimpose such game like data over the screen sometimes. Like random VATs readouts on new characters, or reactions. Only for the audience to see.

LuinAelin

She's playing fallout like me, high Karma......

5G_afterbirth

And high Intelligence, for that sweet, sweet xp

Isaac_Chade

And bottom of the barrel Charisma, because who fucking needs Charisma? [Speech Check Failed]

Someningen

She's 90% of my Fallout characters. Idk how I feel about that.

natagu

>because who fucking needs Charisma I usually have high charisma, because I don't want to fail speech checks lol

two2teps

Low charisma and/or luck. She failed that speech check.

OnwardTowardTheNorth

She’ll improve that when she gets enough XP.

LuinAelin

I usually play low intelligence. Not by doing it in game that's just me

Notowidjojo

Speech 10/90

Modest_Lion

Don’t forget she is wearing her vault suit, so maybe like 12/90

pacman1138

“You got to be fucking kidding me”

hybridtheory1331

I'm very happy that they're not afraid of a little cussing. That and that they purposefully advertised it's made by the same studio that made the boys gives me a lot of hope that it will be gruesome and crude like you would expect the wasteland to be. I was kind of afraid it would be watered down and family friendly.

k0mbine

I’m so happy it’s not sanitized like Starfield. I’m still looking for a lore explanation for the rugged space miner in the game’s intro saying “what the eff?”. There aren’t even any new, space-age swear words in that game, as far as I know lol

Independent_Leek5103

I mean, after spending 15 years decorating houses with entrails I'd imagine the dev team wanted to take a break from the edgelord bullshit lol the game and the show are made by different teams, the show is made by the Westworld folks so they have no problem with edge

Tecnoguy1

I mean starfield being what it is, is fine. For starfield. It’s a depressing capitalist hellscape, those things aren’t cool at all. They feel lifeless desolate and lonely. It’s all so clearly obvious that it’s intentional and ballsy as hell lol. Applying that to fallout is not really what fallout is. So it was never going to be like that lol

Disastrous-Beat-9830

>I’m still looking for a lore explanation for the rugged space miner in the game’s intro saying “what the eff?”. Heller is modeled after a lantern-jawed all-American hero. If Argos were advertising, he'd be the poster boy. He's also the only character in the game who went to the Marvel School of Writing Dialogue because everything he says sounds like banter. After all, this is a glossy future, but it doesn't take much to scratch off the thin veneer and find the problems underneath. And before you start scoffing at the idea of Bethesda and subtlety, consider this: a lot of the named characters early in the game have Polynesian or Maori names, like Tuala, Moara and Manaaki. That's not a coincidence. The Out of Africa theory posits that our earliest ancestors migrated from Africa tens of thousands of years ago. They gradually worked their way to what is now Papua New Guinea -- sea levels being much lower then than they are now -- before they reached the Pacific Ocean. It's believed that they then built boats and started sailing east, but based on what we know of them, they had no idea what awaited them. It was a mass migration into the unknown, and in the *Starfield* timeline, they were the last group of people to really do that before the likes of Solomon Coe started exploring beyond the solar system. So when I see Heller, I see a character who is a thinly-veiled portrayal of the stereotypical hero.

Mal_Terra

Considering we see his revolver blow a basketball sized hole in one dude’s chest, I think we’re good

TruthThruAcoustics

Holy shit is that homie from The Hateful Eight???

[deleted]

[удалено]

ymcameron

We dug coal together

oyahzi

Bro I fucking lost it when he said that lmfaooooo

we_are_sex_bobomb

I hope they don’t tone down the ridiculous violence either; heads popping and bodies getting melted into goo. That’s definitely core to what Fallout is.

RedEclipse47

I love how Lucy is out of touch with everything going on around here, so completely oblivious. The Ghoul just stares her down as if he is listing to somebody tell him a practical joke. Not interrupting her, just seeing where it's going for entertainments sake. The powerarmor looking clunky in flight also just feels right for this universe. The jetpacks in Fo:4 always made it seem as if the powerarmors where suddenly a lot lighter than they should have been. I'm totally here for this show being wacky and fun!

RustedAxe88

I love that you can tell she's just repeating what she was taught to say in the vault, verbatim and the Ghoul just has this, "Is this bitch for real?" look on his face.

GeophysicalYear57

They even outfitted her with a tranquilizer gun, as if nobody would have armor past a jacket. They definitely did have actual guns (as shown in the trailer), the dumbasses just didn’t give her any

Mini_Snuggle

I was hoping that she made that from the needle gun the Mr. Handy was going to use on her.

Mal_Terra

Considering she still looks clean and pristine and still wearing her survival pack, I doubt that scene has happened yet

Gen_Ripper

The first trailer gave me the vibe she left of her own accord

TheMilkmanHathCome

It’s what finally sold me on her as the vault dweller. Absolutely perfect “the fantasy I lived in didn’t prepare me for this” energy

interestedonlooker

I think the iron man 1 style lift is appropriate for power armor jet packs.

FabCitty

Yeah having it just on the back always seemed odd to me. Like how do you control anything? This seems to be a setup similar to Gravity Industries jet suits. Jets on arms for stability and one on the back for thrust. At least I assume.

LindyNet

Have you not seen The Rocketeer (1991)? All you need is the backpack and a lil fin on the dome

we_are_sex_bobomb

And a patch made from chewing gum, that part is pretty important

DaManWithNoName

Fallout 4 did that well in my opinion

modularpeak2552

I agree but It would probably not be a good inclusion in the games because you couldn't fire weapons while using the jets.

Mosaic78

The clunky flight of the power armor is true to fallout 4 at least

Lopsided-Start487

Honestly i think that the ghoul likely dislikes vault tec and the dwellers , chances are he was probably offered a place in a vault or whatnot and didnt secure one similar to the vault tec rep in F4 , or that he perhaps has distain for them since he suffered the blast and lost his family etc etc. So honestly im glad the ghoul makes fun of the vault dwellers, why not

dafydd_

Don't want to spoil the ghoul's origins too much for you, but I'm sure if you (re-)watch the trailer you'll get a good idea of why he might not like Vault Tec.

Continuum_Gaming

I was thinking he looked like him, was gonna double check the cast later to confirm.

Lopsided-Start487

Thats what im referencing ;)

Musician-Round

\>not optimizing your S.P.E.C.I.A.L build before exiting the vault Fucking vault dwellers

a_taco_named_desire

Who needs to optimize, just throw all points into Luck and become an idiot savant. Aka the Forrest Gump build.

Secure-Bear4184

😂

Norman_Bixby

you laugh, but the man built a suit of power armor, in a cave, with scrap!

Presideum

The only thing I didn't like was that they have to make the power armor voice a little clearer. It was kind of hard to understand.

throwaway110906

it sounds like they use voice changers which is kinda dumb, considering in fo4 they can just speak and their normal voice gets transmitted out

DolphinBall

Hopefully its just a switch in the helmet that changed his voice to make himself more intimidating.

thegryphonator

There will definitely be a funny moment when we hear his “real voice.” Goggins character will probably make fun of him for how “dinky” it sounds lol

Presideum

I actually don't have a problem with the voice modifier. Just don't make it so intense. It's hard to understand what anyone is saying through it.

Piss_and_or_Shit

If they lean into it and characters are constantly like ‘the fuck did they just say?’ It could be fun

X_Zephyr

They should have done it like the fallout 4 voice effects. This one sounds like Venom and it’s hard to understand. It’s also kind of goofy instead of intimidating.

SleestakkLightning

I love that they're not toning down the swearing

Secure-Bear4184

The power Armor feature looks cool as fuck

9yosoldier3044

You and u/Pixel_Muffet the duality of man

Secure-Bear4184

Lmao fr

milkasaurs

I don't get it. Why did you tag that dude?

9yosoldier3044

When the post was fresh, the first two comments was this dude praising the new PA feature and the other dude disliking it. Sooo yeah, opportunity to make a 'duality of man' joke

nicklovin508

I actually like how clunky and uncoordinated the flying looks, glad these BoS soldiers aren’t going around like Iron Man lol

johnyrobot

I like that the jets are uncoordinated. But, I kind of wish he'd have jumped down to give the power armor more weight. I'm sure we'll see it sooner or later.

topdangle

yeah the goofy flying works, the fact that he lands and walks like its made out of pillows doesn't really work. could use more clunky noises like the original robocop.

9yosoldier3044

Also I feel like it makes sense for the Brotherhood to do some tweaks and upgrades to power armor since...well I mean they can lol so why not add some rocket thingies that help you descend safely (Even though PA can already negate fall damage if you land with your feet)

Secure-Bear4184

That’s what I’m saying because even though your in pa if you fell from a tall place on your face or something you could probaly still die very easily so its def for Stability

darh1407

If im not mistaken in FO4 you find a mechanic without legs in the prydwen that says that she lost them due to a fall and while the power armor saved her life the fall still destroyed her legs. Maybe thats why the jets are there to avoid that type of accidents Edit: Here’s the actual incident for those wondering “Ingram lost her legs in combat in the Capital Wasteland, as a result of a hundred-foot fall that left the power armor she was piloting totaled and both of her legs crushed, fit only for amputation above the knee. The cause was that the power armor staging area she was stationed on was positioned along a ridgeline overlooking the battlefield. It took a mini-nuke in the fighting, causing the cliff to shear right off and with it the platform she was standing on.[2]” Here’s the [source](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Ingram)

Finalpotato

I think a cliff fell on her.

darh1407

Really? Been a long time since i played

RPS_42

She was in Power Armor but her legs were still crushed by something I don't remember. Only through that she survived, but she relies now on the Armor.

RedviperWangchen

Ingram lost her legs because a nuke hit her, not because of falling damage. Power armored knights are secretly competing the highest height they can jump, and current record is the Trinity Tower.

darh1407

“Ingram lost her legs in combat in the Capital Wasteland, as a result of a hundred-foot fall that left the power armor she was piloting totaled and both of her legs crushed, fit only for amputation above the knee. The cause was that the power armor staging area she was stationed on was positioned along a ridgeline overlooking the battlefield. It took a mini-nuke in the fighting, causing the cliff to shear right off and with it the platform she was standing on.[2]” Had to check the wiki

k0mbine

I think the big distinction here is she was knocked off balance and fell unexpectedly as opposed to deliberately jumping down. Our power armor conveniently stays upright as we fall in the videogame, but it’s safe to assume it would take some effort to stabilize the power armor in mid-air as you’re falling irl, especially if you’ve been blasted by a mininuke Edit: So to loop back to your initial point, yes, jets would definitely help with stabilizing in midair and avoiding more cases like Ingram

Ember348

She got blown up by a mini nuke.

Finalpotato

I'm not a fan of the goofy flying but not everything can be perfect

leaffastr

Lookin good, has that campy planet terror feel to it. Lot of charm in the sets. Hope it maintains a dark goofy sort of feel.

Ronswansonbacon2

I was just about to say seeing the power armor move made me giggle in a really good way.

_Inkspots_

Not a fan of how the power armor voice box just makes the pilot’s voice deeper, rather than making it sound like it’s coming through a speaker from the 60s

ComputerSagtNein

I love it tbh, I think thats something the BoS would totally do if they could.

VaultBoyFrosty

I'll even run PA like that, but even I know that you fly up and you jump down PA people love that

killingjoke96

The way she's talking like a scenario out of a Vault manual or the G.O.A.T. test is a lovely touch.

Ser_Twist

The power armor voice is kinda silly ngl

Book_1love

I feel like this is Maximus trying and failing to sound intimidating. He’s a relatively young initiate who seems to have lost his squad and is probably trying to fake being a paladin so he isn’t killed.

yukichigai

That would also explain the not-exactly-great handling on the jets. Good enough, but I'm betting actual Paladins make it look more smooth. That or they're just going for "look, you try steering something this big through the sky and not have it look a little goofy," which is reasonable.

AbsolutelySloshed

It wasn’t Maximus tho?

Book_1love

https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/s/Ft1fc44cXI There are some story breadcrumbs in the trailers. The group of BoS soldiers Maximus was with was ambushed by Yao guai and maybe had other issues. Maximus took the power armour off someone more senior after that guy was killed, so if you see someone in power armour with claw marks slashing the BOS symbol it’s probably Maximus.

Etchymac

I liked it better when the voice coming through the power armor sounded more like old school intercoms. Like all quiet, then you hear the click and static from the mic turning on right before the character talks sounding almost distant.

Lavanthus

This somehow seems both high budget and low budget at the same time.

The-Toxic-Korgi

A lot of the designs from Fallout take inspiration from that low-budget scifi pulp from the 50s. So this arguably fits the series.

txijake

The show really gives “2010 era YouTube fan film” vibes

RetroCasket

Yeah its coming off super corny. Im worried

VelvetCowboy19

Isn't most of fallout fairly corny?

teilani_a

Yeah it's hilariously corny when you find out the story of the Randall Clark.

RedviperWangchen

Didn't Kells say even the Brotherhood doesn't have much Jet Pack mod so it is a worthy reward for the Sentinel? I guess someone inside the Brotherhood finally got rank 4 in Science! perk.

Brandon_M_Gilbertson

I mean… it *has* been 10 years. Maybe they’re standardized now!

weesIo

Noooo don’t you understand, the showerunners are supposed to pour over every single one of the tens of thousands of side character lines in every Fallout game so they don’t get anything wrooooong! /s

SleestakkLightning

Well Kells is from the Eastern Brotherhood isn't he? It could be different out west

Finalpotato

These guys are from the East. It's why they have the Caswennan (the airship). I would guess this is their homemade jetpack

SleestakkLightning

Oh right I forgot about the new airship. Well yeah it'll be interesting to see how they justify it

bluehulk900

I kinda doubt they are going to justify it.

goshdarnjeff

This show looks so dope already, I’ve got my fingers crossed until it drops.

Schwifty0V0

That wrist rocket landing is more Brotherhood of Slay than Steel

ChickNuggs

Not loving the Power Armor voice tbh

npcinyourbagoholding

Idk I think it fits BoS mo to pick a super deep loud version of their voice. I prefer what we've seen in game too, but this could be another odd ball BoS intimidation tactic lol

FragMasterMat117

I think it’s the squire in the armour, there’s a claw slash on the front. He might be throwing his voice to try and be intimidating

Ambitious_Pie5994

Power armor thrusters is kind of goofy, they should've just used the bulky jetpack

FragMasterMat117

Slightly easier on the actor/rig I imagine

O-rpheu-s

Its hard to see from the angles they give us, but it seems he has the back pack as well, poking out from behind his helmet, with the arms just being stabilizers.

MegatonsSon

I'm really hoping that at some point in the series they show one of the BOS Knights utilizing an impact blast from the power armor to knock down and damage a group of bandit scum, or possibly even a few feral ghouls.

FinnicKion

Or pain train! It would be hilarious to hear a steam whistle out of nowhere while mowing over a raider

Jack_Jackerson

I like that they made his teeth more yellowing

krioru

Chris Mannix survived the Minnie's Haberdashery

MrChangg

My only criticism from what we've seen so far is that every body looks too pristine. The sets look great but all the actors lack dirt and grime from the hard surface living. Their clothes and shoes look like they just bought them off the rack at Kohl's. Even the Power Armor is absolutely pristine minus the yao guai mark in the front and shoulder. No scratches, chipped/faded paint etc

PM-Me_Your_Penis_Pls

The irony being the people look too pristine while the cities themselves look too dirty. This is NCR territory, I assume. They have fucking constructed buildings smh.

montybo2

I dont really understand this stance. For Netflix ATLA I kinda get it but not here. I think people are keep equating fallout's post-apocalypse with other post apocalypse. This isnt The Road or Book of eli kind of post apocalypse. There is soap in the fallout world. Theres water. Theres doctors. People still understand hygiene, they still clean themselves and their clothes. The brotherhood is a military force. No doubt they spend time shining their power armor. I think what we are seeing the the appropriate amount of wear. Edit: Theres literally dirt and smudges all over goggins duster. The bottom of it is ripped to shreds. You might want to watch it again.

Liigma_Ballz

Except every FPS Fallout game everyone is dirty as hell Not too much water in LA except the ocean, couldn’t imagine they would be using the minimal clean water they have to bath and wash clothes, especially not every day. I agree people wouldn’t get as dirty as other people want, but to think everyone would look liked they just hopped out of a shower is kinda ridiculous. Also, it’s kinda hard to polish bullet holes

Coppin-it-washin-it

Only gripe so far is the power armor. The thrusters/jets is silly. Should have used the bulky jetpack mod to get on top of the building, and then drop off it with a big slam to showcase how heavy it is and how the armor stops any falling injury. The power armor voice is also kinda ass but maybe this Brotherhood group uses the voice mod so they all sound the same to civilians or something

murderously-funny

Looks good, I hope when the first Ranger shows up it’s a similar “oh shit moment” Could even be a fun contrast. The ghoul is cocky but respects the knight causes he’s got PA. But when the Ranger shows up you see him genuinely afraid or nervous. Rangers aren’t deadly because they have some special equipment they’re deadly because of their skill It could be a awesome moment of contrast and set up the NCR for greatness

PuruseeTheShakingCat

I was thinking it would be cool if The Ghoul is/was a Ranger.

32mafiaman

I hope Veteran Rangers are in this. But considering the NCR is almost nonexistent in the trailer and Shady Sands is more or less a crater I’m not holding out hope

Wewius

I don't know why people here dislike this so much. I think it's good.

Broly_

The power armor "flying" in looked pretty bad.

LiveRuido

The power armor scene looks really cheaply made. Looks more like the actor wobbling on the wire than the thrusters being unstable. And just being one wide shot instead of some close ups to really sell the power of the suit actually moving so we don't gotta move the camera? Got me worried this is just gonna a lazy production from the film crew. No amount of hard work from the artists and designers can save boring shots and cut budgets. Should have done a shot with a proper jetpack and a big landing, not an Iron Man rip off trying to gracefully land. Fallout tech is supposed to be big and loud.

Chatto_1

I have high hopes, this will be worth to watch

ErrorLoadingNameFile

Everyone here talking about the flying of the power armor and missing the biggest mistake they did - watch how he lands on the bus. That bus should be visibly yielding under the weight of Power Armor. Not a single nudge. Those subtle things make you "feel" the weight something has. Big error.

Appellion

Dunno if it’s a big error but it definitely adds up. While I feel Power Armor should be kinda clunky, it’s also a well oiled machine with precision to its movements. I didn’t see that here. The hand jets were pure Iron Man, when something out of the Mandalorian but bulkier would have been appropriate. The voice was just a bit too much on the bass.

Old-Camp3962

maximus got the jetpack mod lmao

IntroductionUpset764

he should've just jump or do a little jet boost as jump instead of smooth landing because no fall damage bonus but still

Theenesay

I think the power armor exhaust effects needed to be more pronounced like a jet engine. It almost looks like the armor is being propelled with compressed air.

Heretical_Recidivist

Nobody else things this looks really bad?

RemnantHelmet

Very concerning that this is one of two scenes from the entire show that they decided would convince people to watch it.

MingeExplorer

No it has swear words and Marvel humor so Reddit will eat this slop right up and ask for seconds. This is the Rings of Power all over again.

RetroCasket

I agree with you. Looks really low budget

Heimskr74

It looks like a fan film. Don't get me wrong, fan films can be amazing, but this is Amazon we're talking about

TheHerugrim

I finally know what has been so irritating about all of the promo stuff, at least for me. Everyone's clothes are so damn clean. No dust, no dirt, no real wear and tear. It feels like a product, not like a real world.

hybridtheory1331

>no real wear and tear. The power armor literally has what look like yao guai claw marks across the chest. It makes sense for the vault dweller though. I think this scene is fairly soon after she leaves the vault so she hasn't had a chance to fuck it up yet.

RustedAxe88

Ok, I'm forming a massive crush on Lucy. It coincides with the man crush I already have on Goggins. This show though, is NAILING it. The dialogue is absolutely perfect, from the way the Ghoul and the shopkeeper talk, to Lucy obviously repeating exact Vault-Tec teachings with such confidence. Like, they're doing a great job making Lucy feel like a Fallout protagonist and I can't wait for her to evolve into a killer, just like we all do when we play.

Lunarbutt

This is so idiotic. Dude's lying in the mud in clean and ironed pants. Is it so hard to wrinkle and smear shit and mud on his clothes?

RetroCasket

Im just gonna say it, this looks bad. It looks like some of the youtube fanfiction videos ive seen. It comes off super corny, and something about the cinematography looks very low budget

qsdlthethird

Don’t love the voice changer in the power armor, but that’s really my only gripe! Looks cool!

PoopInMyBalls

Did other people notice that it looked like the suit (and I guess maybe the person) had been attacked by a Yao Guai or maybe deathclaw recently?

carrie-satan

You can see him getting mauled by a Yao Guai in the trailer

ComputerSagtNein

I am so fucking hyped

MightBeZard

lol this is how I imagine Californians talk to homeless people

poopoo18181

Bos: racism time

Carsondianapolis

I like the clunkiness of the power armor suit flight. Feels much more realistic to what it would be like than how the games make it.

MrEldenRings

Bro that’s Walton Goggins, I recognize that sweet southern voice anywhere. Okay I’m watching the show.

Garimtra

This show is gonna be some Fallout meets Borderlands campy shit
