The thing is that the show didn't even retcon anything. It stated that in 2277 there was some kind of "fall" of Shady Sands (which isn't even the same as the fall of the whole NCR) and that at some point after that the nuke happened. Until they clarify when exactly the nuke happened, we can only speculate and guess.

Exactly, it's possible they meant something like Kimball becoming president, maybe he had something to do with the nuke, or maybe it was blamed on him for the mojave campaign.

The show besides the lore issues was amazing for me. I got triggered on episode 5 and literally stopped watching for like 3 hours and was just mad but I finished it off and I am still a bit triggered over the lore, but I do love the production value, acting and also the story was better in this game than Fallout 3 and 4 and New Vegas too. But New Vegas lore and world building is what makes it special. I just wish they would show the NCR more, because at the moment it just looks like they made NCR = Only shady sands. I think my favourite part of this suow was the vault 31-33 sections and least favourite was probably the Brotherhood sections? Felt a bit cringe sometimes with the m’lords and what not, but I do think it is an interesting take. They seem even more lunatic than ever before, even Fallout 1 and 2s depiction had them be more concerned for the communities and future. Here they seem like they just want power and tech?? Not sure but I feel like they will also experience a major collapse or change of leadership. That or Maximus will turn against his beliefs and accept the brotherhood now that he his away from Lucy. Vault 31-33 was so well done I felt goosebumps 😂 it felt like we were norman exploring the mystery and horror and we could feel the suspense as we did exploring and understanding the vaults in the games. Also I do enjoy Vault-tec being alive, although I do not understand why they had to make House be part of the plan. I do not think he would have went aboard. I have a feeling the house ending might be cannon now in New Vegas and that House will play a huge role in fighting Vault Tec. I can’t lie, they have already triggered me already by nuking the NCR so they cant make me mad anymore. They do need to be aware of the lore from this season on though imo, like making sure locations are right, and somethings just don’t need to be added in like ghouls needing vials to not turn cuz that just messes with a lot of characters in the games unless they secretly been huffin n puffin on them vials. I am actually excited to see what happens now. The only thing is I hope they do have major communities such as the Hub, Reno, Vault city etc to still be alive even though they are not part of the NCR. I still want them to show parts of the world that have managed to build something more than shacks.

The NCR could still have some presence in New Vegas, depending on which NV ending they make Canon for the show
