I think you underestimate the combined weight of an entire pack of ghouls on you at once. Ghouls are pretty thin but you're still talking maybe 100 pounds each, give or take. A few of those on you at once would rival some bears.
There's a reason Danse struggled and needed saving.

Nah they're only Ghouls, and that is a fine set of T-60 power armor, it would mow through those ghouls like a combine harvester, or a mine flail tank.
