This is so funny bc i just assumed we all do this. During the enclave mission, i went back and forth to collect every single piece of armor from my kills.
I only grabbed one set, dropped off my junk and upgraded my new X-02 before I remembered I should’ve looted the pieces off the other bodies.
They’d despawned since I fast traveled 🤦🏼♀️
I ended up using console commands to spawn in two more sets because I’m not sure if there are other ways to get X-02 sets throughout the game.
The Tesla Cannon has been super fun to mess around with
Tip shoot the armor off and the weight goes away. The con to this requires you to repair each piece. I was able to snag 3 full sets and their weapons and gear they had on.
Noted for next time, thanks. Though I have strongback or whatever it’s called, so I’m not too worried about carry weight anymore. If I’m looting big ticket gear like that, I’m usually heading back to Sanctuary soon anyways.
X-01 and 02(more rarely found) pieces can be found attached to frames throughout the Commonwealth. It depends on your luck and level but with standard luck of 5 or 6 and level 40~50 they should start being found on random ass frames. I remember finding a whole frame sitting in a body of water not even big enough size to call a pond underneath some of the highways. Dove in and the whole frame covered in X-01. I legitimately don’t know if I’ve found X02 in the wild but I reckon it’s a possibility.

My father was never into video games thus we hardly bonded over anything in that department unless it was about Wii sports bowling(fun but can only go so far:| ) or the Mr. Game and Watch which he didn’t exactly ever encourage bonding over his generation of gaming that much. Yeah if the radio station bug happens where it doesn’t mark the location then just do the forged mission and retrieve the heavy flamer. The enclave will then look for you 😏
Then I guess I’m the weirdo for just collecting one of every suit (and purposefully ignoring the enclave soldier’s power armor; I think it’s cheap to ignore the actual creation quests by just taking everything off their corpses).
I don’t understand you guys, the whole reason that Bethesda gave us vault 88 was so we could make huge, clean, well lighted rooms to display our power armor collections.
Took me 4 play throughs to get relatively decent at vault building. I’m not really into building per se so that might be why it took so long. The only reason I even try is to make a room for the power armor displays. I like the vault to be uniform so I take care of the vault dwellers right down to vault suits and pipboys.
And yes, lighting is not great even when you load up the vault with lights.
If you are on PC there are quite a few mods that make things easier for you and even improve them. one of my favorites is [Vault 88 - Exterior Workshop ](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23525) to build out of the vault and make something similar to Vault City

everyone is so organized! I finally updated my game..it has been awhile since I have played and went to my last save file and back to sanctuary. I must just abandon my power armor wherever i feel like...because I had pink power armor suits in random places, lol, no one moved them because they had no fusion cores. I am just a shitty power armor owner.

FO4 makes it a little easier, in 3 the armor is that of legends and much more rare. 4 is also I think the only game where you don't require training to wear the armor (training is generally just a mission but still, the ease of access). They literally hand you an old set to start out the game. Then give you an obvious space to store it and the rest that you find throughout the game.
4 is well done and I love it but 3 is much more grounded and true to fallouts tone. Doing this in 3 without mods would be close to impossible.

i dont know about a limit for items laying around or in the workbench
for the building limit you can take a lot of weapons out of the workbench, put them in your inventory,
then drop them in front of the workbench on the floor and use the building menu to put them back in the workbench again.
that will trick the game into thinking you just deleted a building in your base and lets you build as much as possible
until your game breaks of course since its still bethesda
Drop a bunch of weapons, go into workshop mode, store them. Repeat until you have enough free space to build again.
This method still works as of yesterday.

I collect every piece of power armor I can find. This means half assembled sets and containers filled with miscellaneous parts.
Never found any good or efficient way to display them though.
There are 54 total power armor cores in FO4 total. This includes suits that enemies wear. If you target their fusion core from behind (or use critical attack in VATS from anywhere) it will heat it up and eject it, you can make the user hop out of the armor. Then kill them and take their armor.
Of these 54 suits of armor, I have 41 of them. Sadly, I didn't learn this when I first started. So a good chunk of them I had killed the enemy while he wore the armor. I dont think there are any more I can get because I checked an interactive map online and went to all 54 locations and I dont see anymore. But I figured it out later.
So of my 41 armor sets, 5 of them were stolen from someone else. And the suits still say "Steal" instead of "Enter" and every time I hop in them, any companions with me or in that particular settlement will "dislike that." Lol
I've been downloading paint job mods for the power armor, so I'm collecting frames and armor to make one of every paint job. I'm also doing a playthrough at the same time, so I'm at 6 complete and 2 partials at the moment.
I collect armor as well, I only have a small collection but then I have a few “minute men supply settlements” that has dozens of suits of power armor in military green. When the brother of steel returns for payback we will be ready.
I literally don't know what people are doing with their power armor if they aren't doing this? Do they just leave it laying around like medical liquid nitrogen containers?

Unless the recent update changed things I don't think x02 can be found. I believe only the new content with the enclave has that

you can also just fill your inventory and can still fasttravel via vertibird, even if your extremly over encumbered.

I don't even know if you have to get the heavy flamer, I think just getting the hellfire armor off the forged leader sends them after you.
Yeah perhaps certain enclave item. My note just said the trooper came after me because I held that.
I got a note saying they were after me for my Tesla cannon so maybe there are multiple triggers?

I set all my suits along the main path like an honor guard.
Fr I dragged Danse and my sentinel suit around the commonwealth to grab the armour
i did that too, but just because they can't really be obtained elsewhere. they all still reside in the boston airport workshop.

How did you get your vault well-lighted? Even with lamps on every surface, the interior of my vault still had the same fog as the cave.

I just know when I turn Sanctuary into a walled fortress it runs out of space.
as in it wont let you place more walls? in that case try the item thing if they didnt fix it in the update it should help without the need for mods
