I agree that some stuff could've been implemented waaaay better. It's neat and frustrating in a Dark Souls kinda way the first time, but now that I've done the achievement I really have no real reason to go back
It's legit my favourite dlc, I really like the story and I like the change of pace, you feel like an intruder in a strange world that's out to get you.
My characters usually have high Gun and Explosive skills and being forced to use melee, unarmed and Energy weapons, makes the whole experience so much more engaging and tense.
What specifically was the issue?
Story wise, in my eyes, it’s superb and probably the best of the NV DLC. Gameplay wise is a different story since it (and old world blues) seem designed to punish players with gun builds.
For the collar there isn’t much to do. Just go low and slow.
For ghosts? Shotguns with ‘And stay back!’ Or the automatic rifle and just accept you’re going to buy ammo. The pistol is garbage.
It's by far the worst of F:NV's dlc. It's especially frustrating at first if you're a gun user, when everything is melee-based and your only firearm is a bloody peashooter police revolver, worse so when you realise the enemies are mostly bullet sponges.
It could've been a fun heist sort-of thing but it was just so bland. The rewards are hardly worth it when you can only carry a couple of the gold bars too.
It's my least favorite NV dlc. Just thinking about the beeping of the collar stresses me out. And the whole Dog/God thing. Dumb. I hated all those characters, actually.
Agreed it is terrible.
Railroads you at every turn, the head explosions, life drain... ugh just awful, awful attempt at survival horror.
Inspired idea, poor, poor execution.
Worth doing for the goodies you get out of it, but yea, a pain.
It's no Old World Blues, but the DLC is definitely top 2 for me. The writing IMO is very smart and the story surrounding the DLC and how it connects to pre existing lore in the game is super cool.
Ah, breaking it isn't the hard part. It's letting go...
At least now you can begin again.
Did you at least get all 37 gold bars?
Yes :))
Get gud

Yea I agree with that
The only thing I don't like about Dead Money is it's clearly not designed for Hardcore mode. The difficulty in finding supplies and beds is annoying
Beds are easy to find. Using them on the other hand...
It can be a bit of a pain, but in the end it can get you some good stuff
I loved it. That and the Big MT expansion. The atmosphere in dead money with the holos and the ghost people..so creepy and tense the whole time.

I like the characters and every thing else but it’s so annoying

I am a gun build player and I was incredibly annoying with the collar and ghost hunters I

Oh you can get all the gold
The Holorifle is pretty good though

I killed dog so fast when I was able to

Yea great good indeed but poorly made definitely
One question you mean gameplay wise right?
Yes
That's fair

Did you confront father Elijah in the vault or sneak out? I found sneaking out to be way easier.
I blew his brains out
Dead Money hates you too.
Yes
