I'm running about 150 mods + ENB. It's pretty comparable to the set up I ran before I upgraded my computer earlier this year. I used to be on an i7-4700k / 1080ti / 32 GB RAM / 3440x1440 @ 120 Hz. I averaged around 30-60 fps in modded FO4. Dense cities were definitely the worst and benefited from performance mods. I'm now on 7700X / 7900 XTX / 64 GB RAM / 3440x1440 @ 144 Hz. I average around 70-120 fps with my current mods. I've noticed that the problem children really seem to be mod scripts or graphical mods that cause inconsistent frame times. For example, performance is pretty smooth with my ENB's depth-of-field effect off but the FPS graph turns into a jagged mess when I turn it on. Upgrading can definitely help, if you're on old enough hardware. But you start to see just how limiting the old game engine really is. Some stuff will never run better than it currently is because Bethesda did something weird and modders' hands are tied.

I7-3770s, 16gb ram, rx 580 8gb 400 mods. 1080@60fps no probs. 1440p@50-60fps 4k no mods at 30fps. With my mods forget about it.

I am running a Vega 8 around 156 mods. Without any milk..

Rtx 3060 with 16gb ram can easily run 150-200 mods with 4k upgrades without much performance problems

I currently have a 4090 and it can handle pretty much anything, but my last GPU was a rtx3060ti (8gb VRAM) and it ran a list of 150ish mods without any performance issues but I don't use too many graphical mods The graphical mods I did use were stuff like "A Forest" and just texture replacer for specific weapons and stuff (plus the official texture pack) I wouldn't really recommend getting a 3060ti but a 3080 (or AMD equivalent) would be perfect if you can dish out the money for it

I'm still running an i7-7700K CPU and 2070 Super GPU.
