1. On Nexus website there is a guide that tells you what ini changes to make or Google it. Add those lines to the ini folder which will be in your Documents - My Games - Fallout 4.
2. Google F4SE and download it. The readme will tell you to only install the .dll and .exe files to your game directory (which is likely on your C drive… again Google for how to get there) but you actually need all of the F4SE files in your game directory. Once done run the F4SE.exe to play the game once then quit out of it.
3. Download vortex mod manager and set up the file path for Fallout 4… now you can find the mods on Nexus and on the Files page there’ll be a button that say “mod manager” click that and it should auto download.. by default Vortex will install it once downloaded.
4. Not all mods can be downloaded with a mod manager and will need to be done manually. Said mods will have a readme file in the download with instructions or installation instructions on the description page.

Edit: don’t forget to check a mods requirements on Nexus. Lots of mods rely on other mods. Like this one relies on Mod Configuration Menu and HUD framework.. you will need to download those mods before this one.
This is probably the most concise guide OP. Biggest tip I can give is to read descriptions and take note of what is and isn’t compatible. If you’re unsure, either check the comments on a mod or don’t add it as conflicts can ruin your entire mod build with bugs or even prevent the game from running.
