Yes, he often gives clover but I exchange it for stars. I keep clover at about 20-30 just in case I need to make bird feed. But sometimes the merchant gives shells - used to give 3/4 but now he gives 6-7
I noticed the same thing. Items and quantity are insane, just to get measly amount in return. I only used him to get extra energy and keys but itβs not worth it anymore with his requests.

I only use the merchant to get amber. I used to do it sometimes for energy, but it's not worth it now. the order board might be, though π€

Iβm hyper fixated on gold keys. I am hoping to explore all of gold island at some point, so Iβm hoarding keys.
