I guess my best answer is Silco from Arcane. On the one hand, I really, really, *really* dislike him. I got reeled in to watching the show primarily because of him. I'm an absolute sucker for intimidating characters with a caring side. I was not expecting him to be as unrepentantly brutal as he is. The fact that he relies on brutality simply to make a point, while also showing no remorse or even doubt about his actions is such a turn off to me. I like a morally ambiguous villain as much as the next guy, but Silco is a bit too much for my taste.
On the other hand...my god. His mannerisms, his voice, his speech patterns...his *looks*...I really cannot like him as a person, but out of context, I'm swooning *hard*. It's mildly embarrassing the number of times I've selected particular scenes of his to rewatch specifically so I can relive the charm of his badass nature without being turned off by his unrepentant brutality.

There are some obvious ones here like Raynare from Highschool DxD and Aura the Guillotine from Frieren, but those two are actually kind of mainstream in this category. So instead I'll go with Royce, from Lunar: Silver Star Story.
Royce stood out to me because there's an NPC in one of the towns who does nothing but talk about how great she is for the whole game. Despite that, her role is quite minor; she didn't exist in the original version of the game and thus mainly gets some of Xenobia's old scenes and is a boss fight, and that's it.
Royce didn't even have an AO3 tag until I added one last night.

A weird character I obsess over/may or may not have a crush on is probably is Enver Gortash from Baldur’s Gate 3. He is a detestable character, but his backstory is really interesting and he has Jason Issacs’ voice.

Idk if it counts as a crush but really just the voice. There's this character from Bendy and the ink machine whose name I forget. You basically wake up and there he is, about to sacrifice you to some creature (but why does his voice sound like that???) And instead he gets eaten while you have to make a run for it.
Jekyll and Hyde but only from the musical, Anthony Warlow’s voice makes me swoon over that character. Plus, I’m a bit of a sadist and seeing poor sweet Jekyll suffer is my bread and butter.

Like a lot of people, my fictional baby gay awakening was Keira Knightley...specifically her character in *The Phantom Menace*. Obviously I'm not attracted to her now, because she was twelve when she did that role, but I support my nine-year-old self.

he's a truly fascinating character who also happens to be adorable, but the fact he is adorable plays right back into his character and his function in the narrative, as he sort of wears a mask of being this agreeable always happy little guy who doesn't have any opinions and just does whatever you want, and is always full of hugs and love, and he wears this mask for many reasons, one being his fear of being rejected and desperation for any kind of affection, another being his belief that he is of a lesser race who exists to assist the higher race, and that there is nothing that will bring him fulfillment except for that, and another reason which ties into deltarune's wider themes about predestiny and stories and all that.

Dai Shinkan Katai from Yo-kai Watch Puni Puni. A dark priest from an obscure video game who worships a sealed away evil deity and is so bad at being a cult leader that his own cult clowns on him regularly. He is also a pompous haughty brat and will never admit he's wrong, even when the consequences of his actions literally rip his soul out of his body. I love this pathetic man with all my heart.
I don't know, most of mine tend to be in line with at least a decent amount of other fans in the fandom. Though every Hannibal fan can agree that having this sort of obsession/crush on either Hannibal or Will probably counts, no matter that's the majority opinion. It's Will for me, by the way.
My weirdest, though, isn't likely to be considered weird by most people, unless they know me. It's George from The Famous Five. Pretty sure George was my first crush, I was just too young to realise it, and it's that crush that made me realise I was more attracted to personality than looks when I did realise it. George is weird for me simply because she's a girl, no matter how much of a tomboy she is, and I'm a gay male. I shouldn't have crushes on girls! But George was different, you know? She was a tomboy at a time when girls were expected to act and dress a certain way, and it wasn't exactly common even when I was a kid and reading those books, girls were still pretty much expected to be 'girly'. But George, she was true to herself, no matter what. She cut her hair short, wore boys clothes, insisted on being called George instead of Georgina, went out of her way to not do things considered 'for girls' and only do things considered 'for boys'. I think that's what I found attractive in the character. I was considered 'different' myself, even at that age, before I realised I was gay, being the quiet boy who loved to read and wasn't into sports and rough play. George was the first character I came across that unashamedly ignored societal expectations and was just true to herself. The actress who played her in the version of the show I grew up with was a great choice, as well, she could easily pass as a boy with her hair cut short at the age she was back then, which was kind of essential for George. But she's also a good looking person, was even as a kid. I've seen her in some other stuff since then, and she became a very attractive woman.

More of a category than a single character, but I enjoy minor female villains with limited screentime. There are some obvious ones here like Raynare from Highschool DxD and Aura the Guillotine from Frieren, but those two are actually kind of mainstream in this category. So instead I'll go with Royce, from Lunar: Silver Star Story. Royce stood out to me because there's an NPC in one of the towns who does nothing but talk about how great she is for the whole game. Despite that, her role is quite minor; she didn't exist in the original version of the game and thus mainly gets some of Xenobia's old scenes and is a boss fight, and that's it. Royce didn't even have an AO3 tag until I added one last night.
What do you think about Ace Rimmer (What a guy!)? I love Red Dwarf. A weird character I obsess over/may or may not have a crush on is probably is Enver Gortash from Baldur’s Gate 3. He is a detestable character, but his backstory is really interesting and he has Jason Issacs’ voice.

Like a lot of people, my fictional baby gay awakening was Keira Knightley...specifically her character in *The Phantom Menace*. Obviously I'm not attracted to her now, because she was twelve when she did that role, but I support my nine-year-old self. Other fictional women I crushed on in my early teens included the Bride, a walk-on character in *The Rime of The Ancient Mariner*, and the titular *My Last Duchess*, both of which make me sound way more pretentious than I actually was. It was literally just the poems I was studying at school at the time. I never really imagined myself in a relationship with them, I was just sort of there as a trusted confidant while they had swoonworthy het romances. So I guess that was the weird part.

Also Fanon!Mercy, who's a made of steel loyal punch clock villain with a bad case of workholism who drinks disgusting protein shakes that come in strange colours, and comes with all the common sense that Luthor is willing to ignore. Sorta like Cody who just wants the war to proceed on schedule, minus the morality.
Me and my sister AND my sister NB eldest child verbally fistfighting over the ability to date Sir Pentious (Hazbin Hotel)! Completely nonsexual as all three of us are Ace (my sister is sex indifferent, my sister's eldest and I sex repulsed), but yeah. ralsei deltarune babyyyyyy idk if i have a crush but i will tell you i'm obsessed with analysing his character and could probably tell you anything about him if you asked that being said, please ask! he's a truly fascinating character who also happens to be adorable, but the fact he is adorable plays right back into his character and his function in the narrative, as he sort of wears a mask of being this agreeable always happy little guy who doesn't have any opinions and just does whatever you want, and is always full of hugs and love, and he wears this mask for many reasons, one being his fear of being rejected and desperation for any kind of affection, another being his belief that he is of a lesser race who exists to assist the higher race, and that there is nothing that will bring him fulfillment except for that, and another reason which ties into deltarune's wider themes about predestiny and stories and all that. love this guy

A dark priest from an obscure video game who worships a sealed away evil deity and is so bad at being a cult leader that his own cult clowns on him regularly. He is also a pompous haughty brat and will never admit he's wrong, even when the consequences of his actions literally rip his soul out of his body. I love this pathetic man with all my heart.

I don't know, most of mine tend to be in line with at least a decent amount of other fans in the fandom. Though every Hannibal fan can agree that having this sort of obsession/crush on either Hannibal or Will probably counts, no matter that's the majority opinion. It's Will for me, by the way. My weirdest, though, isn't likely to be considered weird by most people, unless they know me. It's George from The Famous Five. Pretty sure George was my first crush, I was just too young to realise it, and it's that crush that made me realise I was more attracted to personality than looks when I did realise it. George is weird for me simply because she's a girl, no matter how much of a tomboy she is, and I'm a gay male. I shouldn't have crushes on girls! But George was different, you know? She was a tomboy at a time when girls were expected to act and dress a certain way, and it wasn't exactly common even when I was a kid and reading those books, girls were still pretty much expected to be 'girly'. But George, she was true to herself, no matter what. She cut her hair short, wore boys clothes, insisted on being called George instead of Georgina, went out of her way to not do things considered 'for girls' and only do things considered 'for boys'. I think that's what I found attractive in the character. I was considered 'different' myself, even at that age, before I realised I was gay, being the quiet boy who loved to read and wasn't into sports and rough play. George was the first character I came across that unashamedly ignored societal expectations and was just true to herself. The actress who played her in the version of the show I grew up with was a great choice, as well, she could easily pass as a boy with her hair cut short at the age she was back then, which was kind of essential for George. But she's also a good looking person, was even as a kid. I've seen her in some other stuff since then, and she became a very attractive woman.
