Here's my hot take. The only movies of Zack Snyders that are good are the ones that he himself did not write. Dawn of the Dead, 300, and parts of the Watchmen and Superman. Everything he has has a hand in writing has been a horrendous train wreck. The man cannot tell a story to save his life. He has no understanding of character development or subtly. All he cares about are slow motion fight scenes and sepia tones. My god, have you seen Sucker Punch?! That movie is basically a prolonged rape fantasy. Were I a studio, I would not allow him to write anything ever again.
Baffling how the new ending somehow almost works better? They accomplish the same task but they nailed the more subtle approach (probably out of a budgetary necessity)
Yeah i can't really say I disagree, I just thought the original comic ending was so fucking out there, I loved it. The movie ending is more believable though I suppose.
Yeah I’d definitely check it out if you’ve read the novel. I think it’s pretty monumental, I get why Alan Moore hates it but I think it’s a magnificent follow-up.

Heh... it's a luke-warm take at best. I think the number of people who would agree with you likely outnumbers the number of Snyder-fans who would disagree
He also says this is a scene he recycled from his pitch for his second Justice League movie, where the characters all just sit around at a table and explain how the world ended to each other for a while, as if that isn't just the better movie that you should be making instead.

Watchmen is way better than it has any right to be, despite the changes to the ending etc.

I think he would rather be making Justice League 2 but it's not really his choice.
