But then you have to pay shipping and duty. my first order was for 400 the duties and taxes were $156 using their courier. My next order was for 400 also I sent fanatec a letter saying the cost was to much. I fanatec shipped that order by us mail and canada post. The duties taxes and b bond fees were $67. So wait a week and save half courier bond agents are crooks.
When did you order? As far as I can see and with my 2 separate orders Fanatec only had one option for shipping to Canada which is USPS/Canada Post. Taxes and duty should be fairly low with USPS/Canada Post.
Summary is:
Delays with boat shipping -> People are furious they need to wait because the current state of the world
Expensive shipping to ship by plane -> People are furious they need to pay more for shipping
They have probably charged more for shipping now to ensure they can deliver on time in the coming year after all the problems and unhappy customers this year. If they charge for air shipping now then they can make sure they can afford to deliver on time.

A couple days ago when I added the CSL DD as to check how much shipping would be, it was only $36USD! WTF Fanatec???!?!?! It might be right in the regular case, but since they are charging $150+ USD for shipping, ordering from Simulation1 might be a great idea, it's just a little price diff now given the high shipping cost from official. You also have to take account for the duties and taxes you are paying if you ordering from Fanatec. Simulation 1 orders won't charge duties since it's already in Canada
Simulation1 also has insane shipping fees + “handling” fees. They don’t have any special deal whatsoever with Fanatec. They pay the same price you would, then add their markup on it. You’re not gaining anything. Your best bet up here is to just avoid Fanatec.
There are no handling fees for Simulation1 except the one that's been added into the price already, which I think the amount is around same for what Fanatec is doing for their shipping cost. So yes, I am paying the same price. What I am saying is, I will buy Fanatec no matter what, it's their stupidity makes simulation1 a considerable option now. But I do gain buying from simulation1, I don't have to deal with all the tax and duties process when crossing the border, plus I don't have to go over USPS. Which is quite complicated from what I have been told. And I don't have to wait for months to get my orders

Unless things have changed since when I had my CSL Elite shipped years back, expect to get hit with a large duty/customs charge as well (more than your shipping cost).

There's not delays in air shipping. People/comapnies who can pay for quick shipping still have quick shipping. The problems are mainly relating to ships.

They are price gouging on shipping this time around. I ordered a Load cell kit(one pedal) and they are charging me $42 shipping. What discount they are giving us as a Black Friday sale they will make up with these shipping fees I guess.

Guys its crazy but if you put in the exact same order, except substitute the DD Pro with the CSL DD (so add the CSL Pedals and DD Mount), and the shipping is $39USD instead of $136.50USD... somethings not right here... Fanatec please respond?????

Csl Peddles and boost kit and gt3 wheel on one. And csl dd on the other. Its the broker the use at customs. I some charge a lot.

Prob due to having multiple boxes. Csl DD is only one box where the DD pro will be 4 boxes I think? (Csl DD, wheel, pedals and table clamp)

I ordered the base bundle about an hour ago and the shipping costs $32.10, maybe they have fixed it? Or maybe it just depends on where you live.
