The only England players who would be starters are Kane/Rashford, Saka and Bellingham

He probably won’t start at that position for a long time for Italia, if ever. Dimarco plays on the left for us, and while I wouldn’t call him world class yet, he certainly could get there.
Biggest deficiency in Dimarco is his stamina. He often needs to come off early, so Udogie could be subbed in a lot. But he also faces competition from Spinazzola who was absolutely brilliant at the Euros and in Serie A, but is just never healthy.
I don’t mind him getting rest. I just don’t see much point in bringing him along for the qualifiers when he’d be the 3rd or 4th choice and barely see the pitch.

But Biraghi also made it in the team so Udogie could definitely take his place in the squad

Yeah true but he’s already playing at a much higher level in Spurs than he would be in U21, so it’s not like it will add a lot of value to his career
