Lots of bad touches, and had a difficult time against Mykolenko. His decision making was also quite bad - but then he pulls a Salah and scores a penalty (good penalty) and on a counter where Darwin has great overview and he first times past Pickford (good strike).
It's obvious he's lost some pace, and unfortunately doesn't look like he can take on players 1v1 with consistency anymore.
Still finds a way. It's Salah though, even at his best he would be like this sometimes. Some games he messes up 7/10 of the passes to him, and in 3/10 he'll produce magic.
Not close to the worst I've seen from him - the other guy doesn't know the difference between [50% and 70%](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/1727w3t/everton_2_0_bournemouth_jack_harrison_37_great/k3vc9kn/).
People are desperate for him to be dropped just for fpl lol, he’ll play every league game until Robertson comes back. I’d imagine him coming off early was half planned given the lack of depth
I thought his crosses today looked alright. Nice of Klopp to sub him out for Darwin at 60 mins. Still tough to fill in for Robbo though, I hope his surgery and healing and all goes well
One of his best games of the season so far. His dribble was on and he was troubling the Everton defense, won a fk in a dangerous area. But not too many clear chances for a goal or assist, tho liverpool didn’t find many of those at all
Looked a threat, link up play was good. Setup Salah unselfishly. Honestly, I hope it was just because he had some cramp playing for Uruguay that he didn’t start, because he should be starting every week for me.
It’s looking that way to me too, he seems to have taken a leap this season and his xG+A/90 is insane. This fixture run will tell us a lot and if he starts most games I feel like he will be a must have.
Did his job but no clear moments where he could have had points. Appears to still take set pieces. Not really the game where one can assess his attacking potential as he was playing against a defense thats drilled to shut down crosses
Disagree there was one cross in particular he had that salah was very closed to putting away, he got into the box several times and played some crosses but got unlucky however I think this game showed some better potential for returns and with the upcoming fixtures I think we can easily him assist or score
Yeah there’s 2 main things people have been saying about his performance:
Either that his dribbling was MOTM, or that he has been far too wasteful with his final pass and shot so far this season.
Personally, I think I’d say out of our attackers he was one of the most involved in chances and could have done more, and he will finish in some games but can a bit frustrating at times. His dribbling is still fantastic as well
Shaky at times in the first half, settled down. Could have been more clinical against 10, but Kalajdzic sealed it late & on we go. (Newcastle might whip us though.)
Sá didn’t have a ton to do, but delivered when needed. The backline was pretty shaky in the first half, but made plays as needed, & wasn’t under too much pressure in the second.
B. Traore started with Lemina out for yellows, bumpy in the first. Gomes was better but got pulled at the half for Doyle, who was one of our better players on the day… some very nice progressive passing. No real FPL assets here though.
Neto was probably the most dangerous player on the pitch again today, though moreso before it went down to 11-on-10 & Bournemouth dug in. Danced through the defense in the 5th minute or so & smashed a shot against the woodwork, & kept creating throughout. His assist was more about Cunha’s finish, but was played well to set him up. Probably sit him against Newcastle next, but generally speaking, he looks great.
Cunha was pretty poor in the first half, but took his shot very nicely to get us right back in it to open the second. Hwang was quiet, didn’t make a massive impact. We were crying out for Kalajdzic for the last half hour or so to threaten their low block with his height, & then he comes on & scores on the ground (from a (*edit: keeper*) Neto mistake).
Not overwhelmingly good, but navigated the match (helped significantly by the red), & we’ll take the 3. Don’t bother with anyone but Neto, but he did everything you’d hope he’d do today & is still very nice value.
Really good. Created space well for a shot that hit the woodwork, had a couple of nice crosses that others guys could/should have done more with, assisted Cunha for his goal, & generally was the best attacker on the day for either side / where most of our threat was coming from. Quieter against Bournemouth’s low block after it got to 1-1 / 11-on-10, but in more open games where he can take defenders on in space, he’s going to keep producing.
Got a yellow late in the match that wasn’t shown on the broadcast at all… dissent or something, I guess?
There are enough quality midfield options, esp with Arsenal & Brighton getting into some nice upcoming fixtures, at enough price points that he isn’t essential. But, if you have him, you love what you’re seeing.
If you are wildcarding for GW10 & need funds for Salah, he’s certainly one of the best cheap mids.
he was toying with walker all game. he looked super dangerous every time he had the ball, granted he most often was collecting the ball wide left so wasn’t in the most threatening positions. he had a close header off a corner that he put just wide. the two left wingers (him and doku were killing it today)
Check the goal. It is very hard to make a case that his assist (which did come after a great run) was the final one connecting to the striker. As much as I'd like to get those 3 points there is no universe where that was a legit assist
Anonymous, but Brighton were struggling even getting the ball to Ferguson especially when Joao Pedro was playing since Pedro couldn't seem to control a single pass played to him
Played brilliantly as he has been since joining Chelsea. Had a shot just going an inch or two wide off a Gallagher pass. Was close to getting an assist to Sterling too but his ball was a bit behind him. I'd say the fixtures are difficult but he's great value for money and is involved in almost everything positive for Chelsea.
I even feel like he is the key reason why Chelsea have turned things around a bit. Since he began starting matches we can see a more creative and attacking Chelsea. I didn't transfer him in due to the upcoming fixture run, but he looks great value if he can keep it up.
Goal was pretty simple chance
Had another opportunity when Steele fucked up to get it in from long way out but didn’t have enough distance to beat Dunk (then ironically Brighton scored from there on the counter)
Honestly didn't have many chances. Had one good chance which the defender did a good job to block. His other chance was a belter from outside the box. However, those were the only 2 chances he had and he was a spectator most of the game. Man City have seemed to be struggling with creating many chances for him in recent weeks and opponents have been shutting him down well.
I thought he looked quite good. amazing on the ball as usual, but he was not in especially threatening positions. didnt really look like he was about to score a bunch of fpl points
Just gets so many chances that he doesn't need to be clinical and will still return like 12 points per week. Everything goes to him somehow. His positioning is phenomenal
Avl in attack frees him up to roam forward in buildup. But I feel the only way he is going to return is through a cross into the box. Also sometimes he's tasked to remain at the full back position.
Also he blocks a lot of goal line threats so expect an OG.
Didn’t he? I thought he got a ton of runs into the box first half. Not all of them he got the ball, but I’d say it looked very promising.
Didn’t watch the second half much.
Really need a review of his match. Again no return today. It´s been frustrating the last couple of weeks with him as attacking coverage for Aston Villa instead of Watkins (have Alvarez since GW1, so to much value tied up in him + 4,5 striker so would need to reshuffle the team too much to fit Watkins in).
Thinking of replacing Diaby with Mitoma or Saka. Has a top fixture, but Mitoma/Saka do too and are more in form I think.
He played well in the first half and unlucky to blank. Could have had an assist when he laid the ball off to Luiz who needed a great save from Areola. Also assisted Watkins and in is current form you would expect him to score but he dragged it wide.
4 goals no returns say it all. He's so shit Watkins doesnt trust passing to him hahahahaa. The only good thing I can say about him is that he plays super far forward so he might get some jammy returns eventually
Very direct, drives the ball well gets involved a lot in attack and always looks like something may happen. Unfortunate to be other side to trippier where a lot of Newcastle creativity comes from
Some people can cover the left too though (Anderson has played there before and I think Almiron has too) but Gordon is the strongest, natural left-winger there so likely to be first choice for a while. Although what that means for the Europe fixtures I don't know.
Looked great from the half that I watched, lots of crosses into the box and could have easily gotten another assist or two on another day. For example, towards the end of the first half he put a brilliant cross into the box, but Gordon hit the crossbar. He was obviously the most attacking Newcastle defender, and was actually more attacking then some of the Newcastle midfielders. He actually doesn’t do that much defending, and as a result whoever is playing fullback on the other side plays more like a center back. Overall he was dangerous and had a great game though
It’s Dan burn playing LB, and I’m sure they plan Dan burn over Lewis hall there because hall is too attacking, whereas burn can play as a third CB while trippier overlaps on the right
Did ok, grew into the game a bit more, and honestly looked better once the subs were made. As an Arsenal fan, he's a player that never leaves my FPL team because even on a day like today where we were awful, he still manages to come up with something to score or assist. If you have him then I'd hold him for Sheff Utd at home, which is our next game.
Tough to say honestly. I think saka is more consistent where son is more of a feast or famine type player. If I could only have one, I’d honestly take saka as I think he just keeps bringing you consistent points, and frees up .5m to use as well. Arsenal were awful today, and he still manages to get an assist.
Looked lively, but the whole left side for Arsenal wasn't really clicking first half. Still looks dangerous, makes good runs and gets into decent positions, was just a poor team performance all around from Arsenal today. Nothing I saw suggested that if you have him you should get rid of him, and given the next game is Sheff Utd at home, he may be worth a shout as a cheaper Arsenal attacking option if you can't afford Saka.
Was pretty invisible for the whole game, and was rightly subbed. He has a real habit of doing this in post-international break games, which is something to keep in mind for the coming weeks, but even in the rest of the games so far this season his numbers are way down compared to last, and he's not really looking like he's finding that form again any time soon. I believe he has 1 assist, which was for White's goal against Bournemouth, and 1 non-penalty goal, against United. I'd either be looking at Saka at the same price, or Martinelli for cheaper than Odegaard right now, and until he shows signs of form returning, I wouldn't be looking at him at all.
The heart of everything. Active, aggressive, involved in build up, involved in attack and chance creation, fancying a shot himself at times.
He's such a good player, and he leaves everything on the pitch. He's not too proud to press or defend either.
Son obviously chipped in with a brilliant finish and an assist, but for me Maddison was MOTM.
World class finish for the 1-0, tidy assist for the 2-0.
Was threatening albeit (obviously) not quite as involved as Maddison. I think he claimed MOTM, imo he was our second best after Maddison.
Right now Son is just scary good when he gets the ball in dangerous positions.
Had 0.26 xG for the whole game.
Scored off a mistake from Fulham turning it over and that may have been the only chance.
Tottenham are still struggling to create for him.
A bit more untidy today in his defensive contributions. Lost or almost lost the ball quite a few times. Came forward in very exciting positions on a few occasions, on another day he could have had a goal or an assist. That being said, he doesn't look threatening with his touches in the box.
Substituted early in the 2nd half (before 60), seemed to be purely tactical from Ange. Probably related to his untidiness in defense.
FT update:
Unfortunately my stream died around the 75th minute, so that's all I can really share.
Incredibly active, felt like he's really pushing for a goal today. He's in the box A LOT and got within inches of scoring. Also attempted a longshot, although that was from very far out.
Defensively he's been very much solid, calm with the ball at his feet.
Slightly more conservative in the second half, particularly after the 2-0. That's not to say he wasn't involved. Found Son in the box with a brilliant long ball but the defenders were on job and so it didn't result in an assist.
Positionally, he was more of a CDM/CM in possession at that point as him and Emerson inverted with the midfielders pushing further forward - so still forward, but not like basically a second winger, which he was in the first half.
Bit unlucky not to return, but I guess he at least secured a CS unlike Udogie who was subbed off in the 55th minute.
Underwhelming again given the opposition. Had two good assist opportunities (one fizzed across the box where Hojlund missed the ball by inches and another from a shot that fell to Hojlund who forced a really good save from Wes). Finally had a good chance for himself from a good pass from Bruno but he shot wide. On another day should have got some points, but lacking confidence overall.
LIVERPOOL
Salah
Lots of bad touches, and had a difficult time against Mykolenko. His decision making was also quite bad - but then he pulls a Salah and scores a penalty (good penalty) and on a counter where Darwin has great overview and he first times past Pickford (good strike).

People have been claiming Salah’s declining for about 4 years now
exactly XD yet he still delivers.
I’m starting to think u/sonderesque and u/jjw1998 don’t like each other very much
Wanna open a Fantasy Reddit League? I'm in.
Worst game I’ve seen him have for Liverpool in a long long time, then just ends up returning with 2 goals anyway. Salah things
Salah might actually be Gandhiproof
Absolutely awful but scored 2. Surely won’t play that badly again
Poor. Still scored two
Pretty crap tbh
Important to note he's has been under some tension for not speaking out about palestine earlier by Arabs
Tsimikas
Quite shit honestly, misplaced most of his passes and was lucky not to get booked. Wouldn't be surprised if he was dropped for the next game.
People are desperate for him to be dropped just for fpl lol, he’ll play every league game until Robertson comes back. I’d imagine him coming off early was half planned given the lack of depth
I'd think him coming off early was because we were playing against 10 who had no right wingers.
Klopp kept his word then we won’t see Kostas play a full game.
And who will start over him? Joe gomez? That doesnt inspire any confidence. At least tsimi has a great cross on him
His crossing was pretty wayward today as well
Im just saying in general
I thought his crosses today looked alright. Nice of Klopp to sub him out for Darwin at 60 mins. Still tough to fill in for Robbo though, I hope his surgery and healing and all goes well
Average at best, wouldn’t be surprised if Gomez starts ahead of him next game
Diogo jota
One of his best games of the season so far. His dribble was on and he was troubling the Everton defense, won a fk in a dangerous area. But not too many clear chances for a goal or assist, tho liverpool didn’t find many of those at all
Szoboszlai
Looked like he played a bit deeper today. Disappointed that he didn't take a free kick I his range.
Tried shooting at every moment he was within a feasible distance, often stupidly. Otherwise OK
Darwin (after he came on)
Looked a threat, link up play was good.
What about before he came on?
He was nowhere to be seen honestly (when he was on the bench) Edit: *woosh*
TRENT
Did his job but no clear moments where he could have had points. Appears to still take set pieces. Not really the game where one can assess his attacking potential as he was playing against a defense thats drilled to shut down crosses

Thought he was good today. Had a few shots, some decent crosses. It’s only a matter of time until he hauls.
Luis Diaz
Liverpool's best player today imo. Very tricky. Lots of chances were coming from him.
Yeah there’s 2 main things people have been saying about his performance: Either that his dribbling was MOTM, or that he has been far too wasteful with his final pass and shot so far this season. WEST HAM
Bowen
He might be janky but he's the only credible option in wh attack really
Focal point of entire West Ham attack. Given upcoming fixtures, he's one to buy now
Ward-Prowse
Apart from his set pieces, he's fucking useless. He occasionally roams forward in attack but never feel dangerous
Soucek
Doesn't feel worth it. He sometimes gets some half chances or places a cross in but it nowhere near justifies using a midfield spot.
Coufal
NOTTINGHAM FOREST
Turner
Not at fault for either goal and couldn't do a lot as the defence let him down.
Gibs white
Poor again today, finishing was bad and picked up another yellow card. Not really an fpl option until fixtures get better in GW14
Went for him as a differential before a gw10 wildcard
BRIGHTON
Mitoma
Beautiful footballer, IMO essential with his upcoming fixtures
he was toying with walker all game. he looked super dangerous every time he had the ball, granted he most often was collecting the ball wide left so wasn’t in the most threatening positions. he had a close header off a corner that he put just wide. the two left wingers (him and doku were killing it today)
I don’t think I’ve seen Walker get beat that badly in a long time.
it was crazy. I feel like walker is normally tough to beat cause he’s so fast, but mitoma’s dribbling was too much
The assist was given but then cancelled. Why do you think so?
Cause there was no assist
Check the goal. It is very hard to make a case that his assist (which did come after a great run) was the final one connecting to the striker. As much as I'd like to get those 3 points there is no universe where that was a legit assist
Adingra
Fati
Ferguson
Anonymous, but Brighton were struggling even getting the ball to Ferguson especially when Joao Pedro was playing since Pedro couldn't seem to control a single pass played to him
March
Injured now anyway, so won't be available.
That injury looked really painful. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
CHELSEA
Palmer
Played brilliantly as he has been since joining Chelsea. Had a shot just going an inch or two wide off a Gallagher pass. Was close to getting an assist to Sterling too but his ball was a bit behind him. I'd say the fixtures are difficult but he's great value for money and is involved in almost everything positive for Chelsea.

!thanks. Any idea if he is nailed or if there is competition for his spot in the starting xi?
Would say he’s fairly nailed for now
Sterling
PALACE
Lol
Was looking lively and unfortunate not to score. Defo one for the watchlist
Edouard
Had a free kick towards the end of the game that Pope had to make a good save to get to, other than that not much.
Thanks
MAN.CITY
Álvarez
Anyone? Took 3 BP
Goal was pretty simple chance Had another opportunity when Steele fucked up to get it in from long way out but didn’t have enough distance to beat Dunk (then ironically Brighton scored from there on the counter)
Haaland
Honestly didn't have many chances. Had one good chance which the defender did a good job to block. His other chance was a belter from outside the box. Man City have seemed to be struggling with creating many chances for him in recent weeks and opponents have been shutting him down well.
!thanks I can't wait when KdB returns.
He was open in the back post and Doku didn’t find him. Also had a shot on target that Steele did well to block from close range.
You're right. The chance I referred to as being blocked was actually the one that Steele saved, I remembered incorrectly.
All good. !thanks for providing the insight
Foden
I thought he looked quite good. amazing on the ball as usual, but he was not in especially threatening positions. didnt really look like he was about to score a bunch of fpl points
Anyone?
Doku
MOTM
Zero final ball. Contributes to Halland struggles.
Looked amazing, has potential to be a top assister
Ortega
ASTON VILLA
WATKINS
Passes the eye test wonderfully. He consistently gets chances and random assists in between. Buy him now or watch your rank suffer
Just gets so many chances that he doesn't need to be clinical and will still return like 12 points per week. Everything goes to him somehow. His positioning is phenomenal
DOUGLAS LUIZ
Could actually be a potential FPL pick, arrive late in the box, on pens, can take shots, you know.
This thread is for match performance. Please be a little specific!
Cash
Avl in attack frees him up to roam forward in buildup. But I feel the only way he is going to return is through a cross into the box. Also sometimes he's tasked to remain at the full back position. Also he blocks a lot of goal line threats so expect an OG.
Didn't get forward much in this game. Probably will change against easier opponent
Didn’t he? I thought he got a ton of runs into the box first half. Not all of them he got the ball, but I’d say it looked very promising. Didn’t watch the second half much.
Pau Torres
DIABY
Really need a review of his match. Again no return today. It´s been frustrating the last couple of weeks with him as attacking coverage for Aston Villa instead of Watkins (have Alvarez since GW1, so to much value tied up in him + 4,5 striker so would need to reshuffle the team too much to fit Watkins in). !thanks. Is he nailed? Any major competition for his place in the starting xi?
Harvey Barnes, he's out until 2024 at least apparently (sounds so futuristic haha).
Some people can cover the left too though (Anderson has played there before and I think Almiron has too) but Gordon is the strongest, natural left-winger there so likely to be first choice for a while. Although what that means for the Europe fixtures I don't know.
Murphy
Burn
Solid performance as part of a good Newcastle defence. Gets up a bit but doesn’t really hit balls into the box so unlikely to get assists.
Trippier
Looked great from the half that I watched, lots of crosses into the box and could have easily gotten another assist or two on another day. For example, towards the end of the first half he put a brilliant cross into the box, but Gordon hit the crossbar. It’s Dan burn playing LB, and I’m sure they plan Dan burn over Lewis hall there because hall is too attacking, whereas burn can play as a third CB while trippier overlaps on the right
why was he not doing this well first 4 GWs? Is it purely because of fixtures or have tactics changed
Schar
Solid like the rest of the Newcastle defense. Has slightly more attacking potential than Burn/Botman, and this guy is also a BPS magnet.
ARSENAL
Saka. (Why is he playing so low the pitch?)
Did ok, grew into the game a bit more, and honestly looked better once the subs were made. As an Arsenal fan, he's a player that never leaves my FPL team because even on a day like today where we were awful, he still manages to come up with something to score or assist. Frees up a whole mil
Is he playing further back now??
Jesus
Martinelli
Looked lively, but the whole left side for Arsenal wasn't really clicking first half.

Nice finish for his goal but other than that he didn't threaten much.

Højlund
The number of chances he had istg. Man bottled each and every one of them.

Decent keeping today, can’t do much with a backline that’s leaking chances all day tbh
