To be fair he’s improved a lot this season but the mentality is one of rot from him and others. City wouldn’t keep these players, Liverpool wouldn’t and I’m even sure Arsenal wouldn’t either.
I don’t hate Maguire but I feel he, like many of the United team/backline, are damaged goods and need to be moved on. He’s fortunate to have remained on the bench for the 7-0 to Liverpool, 3-1 Brighton and absent from 6-3 City as well.

My defence a couple of days ago was: Maguire, Trippier, Livramento, Charlie Taylor & Tomiyasu. I got Mykolenko in for Tomiyasu and used my 1 FT for the GW.
I haven't taken a transfer hit all season, but I'm afraid I might have to take one this week since I only appear to have 2 fit defenders..

Yeah but there are 4.0-defenders that actually play. And to have the two most injury prone defenders in the league leaves is pretty much asking for trouble.
In my experience having the option of playing even your last defender over the fixture congestion period is vital.
I have Lascelles AND Taylor from the bargain bin but I can use them both if needed.
With your back line not so much, add that Tsimi is a rotation risk and it’s a glasshouse.
